![]() So I have a couple of questions regarding the shaman. 1. Why did they get summon nature's ally as opposed to summon monster? (are they supposed to be a "nature-y" class akin to the druid, hunter and the like?) 2. As a class who's parent classes are witch and oracle, why do they cast off of wisdom? These are not really complaints on the class (One of my favorites, actually) just more curious than anything. ![]()
![]() So i'm running a new campaign. We have a Half-orc druid, dwarf inquisitor, gnome bard, human witch, elf rogue, and a custom-raced ninja. We also have a dhampir barbarian but i'm unsure as to how often she'll actually play with us. So my question is this. Will this party be ok without a "tank", or could the inquisitor/druid be able to suffice? ![]()
![]() Ok, forgive me for asking a potentially stupid question, but after looking at the infected wounds hex I need to ask a couple things. 1. Is there a range? or is it just those I can see?
Thanks in advance. ![]()
![]() I've been looking into playing a witch recently and I just want to know: what role does the witch play exactly? The hexes seem AWESOME (especially cackle, misfortune/fortune, slumber and evil eye) and the fact that their at-will. Their spell list seems a bit odd, almost like a mish-mash of wizard/sorcerer, cleric, druid and bard rolled into one (not necessarily a bad thing, but a lot of spells I like aren't there). Is the witch a buffer? de-buffer? healer? damag-er? According to some threads/posts i've read people dismiss it as a misfit wizard without the power the wizard has. Others seem to praise it as a god of a class. I suppose this is a matter of opinion. Before I take up too much of your time I just want to ask. :What role does the witch play? Or what is her niche in the party?
if anyone has experience playing a Witch, help a fellow role-player out please? ![]()
![]() Hi folks, I need a little help deciding on a class(es) for a character in an upcoming campaign. His background is that his parents pushed him to do/try several careers in his teen years. If he failed one he went and tried the next. So far he's failed out of the local wizard's academy, got thrown out of both the fighter's guild (for lacking the martial talent required of a fighter) and the paladin's league (he himself is lawful neutral, so that wasnt going to work anyway), and since he doesn't exactly share the same views on faith as the local clergy (the town's main deities are Iomedae and Sarenrae) he didn't fit in there either. His parents finally give up on him being nothing more than a lowly commoner. Later down the road (he's about 22 now), his parents separate and go their own ways, leaving him to fend for himself. (insert part of the story where he gets a class here) A couple of ideas I had were:
He's in a party with an Aasimar Cavalier, A gnome Alchemist, A dwarf monk, and a Half-orc Druid. Any suggestions/ideas/etc would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance. ![]()
![]() Hey folks, i'm going to be playing in a campaign coming soon as a Human Lore Oracle (haunted curse and Sidestep secret/brain drain for revelations). I'm looking for any advice on spells and feats to suit this character. I'm probably going to be the party's healer/buffer type. We're starting at 5th level. Thanks in advance. |
