Spoiler:

I mean, if a group of sods really trust this undead in an evil prison, they should have known better. I am thinking of 1) making the Splatterman a woman (although the name remains, as it was attributed before the Splatterman had an identity); 2) trapping Vesorianna in the basement; 3) having the Splatterman pretend to be Vesorianna (I mean, if he can enter the dreams of people in Ravengro, he can make himself at least visible, but harmless, in Harrowstone) and tell the players everything Vesorianna in the module would, with one exception: the letters must be written in blood in order to empower Vesorianna against the Splatterman, somewhat like a reversal of the Splatterman's modus operandi in that the blood of the "victim" must be done with the blood of animals.

I think it's fun, but... is it very cruel?

You say "Two?! Are you out of your mind?"

Actually, I am not. I am recruiting for two spots to round up my group in this campaign, and I feel really bad that I will have to reject eight of the applicants. That's really not nice, you know, that characters are getting rejected.

The reason I got into my first game was that when I said I was giving up because I did not want to be frustrated, people were super nice and encouraged me to come back.

So I would like to see if there are any GMs interested in creating a Carrion Crown game and giving these guys a shot at it :)

(If you are in doubt about GMing it, like I was, just go for it. It does not take up much time to catch up with the first adventure's content, you can do it over a week while commuting (the note-taking may take some non-commuting time, though), and the backbone of the story as well as enemies and stats are already laid out, so all you have to do is be creative, which is the fun part of GMing anyways).

Please think about it :)

Recruitment is now closed, but it may be open. Don't talk to me, talk to the other players -- but talk here.

Male Resentful Orc (Dayrunner) Paladin 1 Init +1; AC: 19/10/19; Fort +3, Ref +1, Will +0; Perception -2; HP: 12/12

This is how this will go. Over the next week, I will be posting bits of information as I finalize my setup for the adventure. I need to digest the whole module in about a week... :S

I need to post some rules and preferences I have, and I would like to get the players' answers to a few questions. The truth is that I have small and old experience with GMing. The modules make it easy to manage the campaign, lucky me.

The first question I have is: how do you feel about your character dying?

Liberty's Edge

Hello, everyone! Who would like to play Polaris: Chivalric Tragedy at the Utmost North?

It is a fun way of getting more role-play-per-post, and it does not require a GM, so if we keep getting more players we can simply play more scenes (provided that we properly handle the distribution of roles -- heart, moons and mistaken -- to be even over players). We could have scenes with four or six players.

Is anyone interested? Simple post your protagonist! Once we have one protagonist (to be the heart of the first scene), two moons and one mistaken, we can start playing. I will be posting a protagonist soon; if you post one as well, we will have you as the heart of a later scene.

Liberty's Edge

I am certain many others have had this idea, but the search engine is not helping me a lot here, so I would like to ask you to share some of the lore on the topic: I was thinking it would be cool to have an AP acting as a chronicle, with maybe three or four parties taking part, and this would be mostly a PbP effort.

If you have any resources or suggestions, I would be glad to see them :)
