About Nikoleta Lebeda

Born into a branch family of the Lebeda noble line, Nikoleta grew up in a world of hard work. With New Stetven’s abundance of timber, Nikoleta quickly developed skill in fletching. Though she was a member of a branch family, Nikoleta was raised a scion of Lebeda. Her skills as a fletcher flourished at a young age, but she began to discover that she was different then the rest of her family, as all of the other children began to mature, she did not. At first she was seen as a late bloomer, but at the age of seventeen, she still looked like an eight year old, the family realized that she was different.

At twenty-one, Nikoleta began to be accompanied by a constant breeze, flaring up suddenly when she was angered – her family suspected she was a sorceress, rationalizing that maybe some sort of arcane heritage was manifesting in the child, aging her slower. However, Nikoleta show no any other signs of becoming a sorceress, causing her family to apprentice her under the tutelage of an elderly gentleman to learn the arcane arts in order to control her abilities and encourage the child to flourish.

Nikoleta struggled at learning the arcane, her mentor had assumed that she was a struggling sorceress, but by the time she was thirty, he realized that she possessed no talent as a sorceress. She would have to learn arcane magic the hard way through mathematical formulas and complexities. While she continued to struggle with learning the complex formulas and theories which accompanied arcane magic, Nikoleta focused on becoming improving her skill with a bow and arrow. Learning arcane magic in the morning, and practicing her archery the afternoon, Nikoleta was left very little time for simple pleasures as she became a young woman. She would be sixty years old before managing anything more then a mere cantrip.

By this time in her life, nearly everyone she had known in childhood was either old and grey, or dead. In time, her mentor died of old age, leaving Nikoleta his only successor. More so then any other time in her life, Nikoleta now felt like she had nowhere that she belonged, and so at the age of ninety, she left home. She spent the next several years of her life traveling where the wind took her, until at the age of ninety-seven, she ended up here.
