The son of a Keleshite caravan master. Their caravan was attacked by Orc raiders. With his father killed and mother badly wounded he stood bravely to protect her. As the orc attacked, Nicoleye was bathed in blinding light and he saw a plate clad, dark haired woman swing her shield to deflect its blow which only glanced above his left eye, the orc ran away in fear. The woman touched his head and smiled, and then was gone fading like the morning mist across the plains...
Nicoleye now has a scar above his eye and 1 blue and 1 green eye. On touching his mother she stabilised but remained ill, (Sacred touch) . He dragged her under the wagon and set off to find help. He walked for two days carrying only a makeshift club with no food or water (Endurance).
He was found by two paladins of Iomedae. They were amazed by what they found. His mother was peacefully sleeping where he had left her. The rest of the caravan had been fed on by scavengers.
Arriving with the paladins in Absalom, he dedicated himself to the Goddess who had saved him from the orcs. He joined their order as a sacred servant (Purity of faith) training in the Tempering Hall in Absalom. He learned to fight with longsword (Weapon focus) as well as a number of other weapons. He studied law using it to aid others and even gaining a few coins as a barrister.
He has picked up the name of Lightbringer by always fetching the candles to the dorms for the other students to pray by. Now the Goddess needs its champions and Nicoleye is ready to join the ranks of the Pathfinders.
