Greetings.

Being a long time fan and roleplayer of Warhammer 40K universe, plus quite eager for a nice RP, I might actually be interested at that (I'm currently at GMT+2 - South Eastern Europe).

Now, a few questions I'd wish to ask you:

How fluent do I have to be in my speaking of English? (might sound strange but I generally tend to better when writing. Not being a native speaker I might delay a bit more to properly convey what I want via speech. Nothing insurmountable though.)

Will it be a one-time thing or a periodically recurring character?

In order to properly portray this character and in general act according to the setting mood etc, should I read up on the particulars of the war effort on Jerico Reach (I think Deathwatch takes place in that region) or the agenda of each of the two Chapters involved (Storm Wardens, Dark Hunters) and/or Deathwatch?

Are there any specific requirements or a certain "line" that has to be followed, during this council, in order to influence or not influence the decision of the players?

Or is this done solely to enrich their experience by providing NPCs that are actually being played by "guest-star" players, to add in the reality of the setting and help bring this whole universe to life?

Thank you for your time. Looking forward to your response.

Cadmus halted and reached for his head, gasping for breath as his mind was assaulted by vivid and terrible visions of the past. The psychic aftermath of so many deaths smothered his mind and soul, threatening to overwhelm him and the Dark Angels Librarian tried desperately to focus and shrug it off.

Willpower 30: 1d100 ⇒ 70

Staying focused on the task at hand, Brother Librarian Cadmus advances cautiously, at the rearguard of the Kill - Team, his extra-sensory perception probing the surroundings, for anything strange.

Psyniscience 41: 1d100 ⇒ 100

Cadmus withstands the tyranid onslaught with the steadfast determination of an Emperor's chosen, staying true to his heritage and call. Then, even as his enhanced physique works overtime to seal the wounds inflicted by the xenoforms, his mind reaches to the otherworldly realm of the Immaterium, in an attempt to call forth a veritable storm of crackling lightning, intent on smiting the ravenous creatures that beset the kill-team on all sides.

Initiative: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Apologies for the delay

Awareness 61: 1d100 ⇒ 61 Just made it hopefully.

Awareness 61: 1d100 ⇒ 30

Opening his vox-channel to the kill-team's frequency, Cadmus relayed to the rest of the team the results of his psychic scan in the vicinity, informing them about the presence of the entity that he managed to glimpse, in the area ahead of them.

Still silent, his grim visage hidden beneath the hood of his Robe of Secrets, Brother-Librarian Cadmus of the Dark Angels chapter, clutched his ornate force staff in his gauntleted hands, trying to focus his mind, still trying to regain his composure. In the aftermath of the drop pod landing, Cadmus had suffered a concussion and a resulting minor disorientation for a brief period of time, while the presence of the Great Devourer in such proximity interfered strangely with his psychic sensitivity.

Considering their current predicament, Cadmus opened his mind to the currents of the Immaterium, as he mentally swept the area, trying to ascertain if there was any psychic signature in the area, or if there was any point closeby where a shadow could be sensed, reasoning that such an occurence could perhaps coincide with the tyranids unique characteristic to cast such a shadow upon the tides of the warp.

Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to join your game, participate in your story and fight alongside the Emperor's Finest, to uphold the Long Watch and cleanse the galaxy from the taint of xenos and worse.

I'll try to put a character together as soon as possible (though I'm afraid that it might take me a couple of days since there's a chance that my schedule will briefly be unexpectedly busy - contrary to my expectations till today - something for which I apologise). I thank you in advance for your understanding and will try to have a proper character together as soon as possible.

Finally, a few questions:

Do you need a character backstory/background?

Do we roll for characteristics or can we use the 100-pt. allocation system?

And do we start normally with 1,000 xp to spend or is there any other restriction etc?

Regarding requisition, how much do we have?

Greetings.

Being a longtime fan and avid RPer in WH40K universe, I find myself exceedingly enthusiastic for locating a Deathwatch game with an open spot. If there is still a place for a Librarian, I would be more than glad to fill it. I would also be willing to consider any chapter, both from the original and successor ones, in case you think it would fit better with the current kill-team composition.

Thank you for your time. Looking forward to your response.
