About "Nel"

Description:
From behind Nel looks like any other Chelish nobilite, pale skin, yet upon closer inspection it is alabaster, raven black hair, stylishly threaded with red the colour of blood. It is not until you see their face that you realise Nel’s true nature, a hellspawn. Deep Red eyes to match the threading in their hair, teeth like fangs and of course, two small black horns growing from his forehead, smooth as onyx. The faint smell of blood permeates the air around him and the slight swish of his long coat reveals his alabaster tail, oft wrapped round his waist like a white leather belt.

Dressed in sleek, form fitting black leather trousers accented with red and trimmed in silver and matching long coat over a shirt of mithril, he looks the part of any member of Korvosan nobility turned adventurer.

Backstory:
His origins are much more humble, growing up on the Shingles, the roof highways of the great city in Varisia. Learning duelling on the roof city was gruelling but rewarding and he apprenticed to a slightly mad alchemist, who taught him basic recipes and potion making. Nel’s true calling was the gathering of information however, knowledge fascinates him no matter the source.

Nel spent most of his free times in the cities libraries, pouring over tomes and yearning for more, to find lost knowledge and powerful artefacts. He apprenticed himself to the cities’ thieves guild for a time, to learn what they could teach before moving on to study under a detective, passionately absorbing everything he could. When Korvosa held no more secrets for him, Nel signed on with the Pathfinder Society, fabled treasure hunters and finders of lost lore. With the rise of the Dark Archives and their wish to find Lore and Artefacts to keep them from mis-use, Nel has found his calling and strives to advance and learn.
