Leona comments hearing the guard commend on the hooded individual "Fear, Well then if one thinks on it from a crime perspective, that hooded fellow, was likely a pawn being used."
Leona thinks things over given the limited information
"The Gloom woods could be troublesome, given the supernatural crap that goes on out there.
I'm more for bandit hunting, though I would be good to know which bandits did it.
As it could be a group bandits lead by someone that raised a loyal owlbear cub into an adult owlbear that he keeps as a pet."
"Oh I know of Fluffniks, not a common to find, but there have been one or two Fluffniks spotted at the park shrines dedicated to the twin sister spirits Nuyan & Nuyen"
This was planned to be so regardless, but Steve is the only businessman in Yonford, who deliberately crafts cursed items, for commercial purposes of making it their best selling point. Not that any evidence has ever turned up. For being, as Leona describes it well, a rumored curse artificer mage, it comes naturally with some contempt from peers, but his work is popular among the common folk and people who want to spite or prank others.
The moment I read the spoilers of a cursed item craftsman, I thought of the Manga titled
My S-Rank Party Fired Me for Being a Cursificer ~ I Can Only Make “Cursed Items”, but They're Artifact Class!
"Anyone know of a Steve? The Prankster one, I think he is a curse artificer.....
As the only other one I know who's similar and makes things is Rait Craft,
I know he's made some medicines for folks."
Leona has a bit of a look disgust, at Aletha and Vasaam's words.
As much as a harem sounds fun and I flirt some to get info from folks,
It is the worst idea ever for a small community, as one little disease or STD and boom everyone in the community would be infected. Furthermore imagine if a disease jumps species it would cause a pandemic. Also the bonds between married couples in the community would be strained and cause other issues leading to the collapse of the village.
"Wow, that idea is short sighted. A harem of men, sounds fun, but it'll cause a heap of other problems later."
"While I can understand a woman's desire to be next to one they love. As one with a boyfriend I at times can't stop thinking about, I understand it well.
But if you truly love them, you let them go and do the things they need to do, and to connect and interact with their family and friends.
Can a Man who is always next to you and protecting you bring you food, make you gifts from materials you like but are dangerous to get.
If you've taken other men's hearts and got them to do the grunt work, sooner or later jealous and envy will creep in and one of them will seek to take your beloved one's place, or the darkness in their hearts might go after you and they'll take you and them together in death as the darkness within the heart can become very dark in another if one is not careful with their influence, beauty and charm.
That is the reality of things, if you want them to live and provided for you, you must be able to let them go and do what they need to do."
Leona casts detect magic to see if any spells are active in the area.
Leona comments on one of the men's words "Her beauty and company, you need more then that to live.
And a good woman loves a manly man that is productive and can provide for his family,
not one that just waits around and gawks at her beauty.
My boyfriend is better man then all the these weak willed men here gawking over a lady in a clam shell."
Wishing I had the Detect Charm spell, or better yet the Inner Beauty Spell from FC:I, but that one is a 4th level spell.
Leona keeps aware or everything going on and around her as they go forward.
As she still considers herself in unfriendly territory.
As even a small subtle detail can say volumes of information.
with me yes, but my mother had an accident that required significant surgery. Her condition is good otherwise and she can already kind of walk using... I dont know the english term, its like a mix of crutches and a kind of cage?
She will hopefully make the switch to crutches soon.
"A better question to ask before we act is, do any of the sounds, sound like it is getting closer to us?
As I don't want to need to head of here fast out and then find out we are cut off."
I think they'll have another KS starting up in say 2 weeks (with a 2 week funding period), with the a likely chance to pick up their previous KS map bundles, like this one.
And you can download the free previews I believe, so you can grab something.
Also one should be able to get pre-paid credit cards, I think those can be used.
Called it,
seems they are going to do another map KS soon, this time Japanese style maps.
