"I recognize her, Anastasia. She was one of our gang. I don't know the other one."

"Ah ... yes, I think so."

Female Varisian Burglar 1/Sorceror 2

"Uh, yes, could you tell me where here is? What dungeon are we in? And what's wrong with Clarence?" She still looks confused, absent-mindedly running her hand over the now closed wound where Relan struck her.

"Bring who where? Where are we? Who else are you talking about?" Natalya looks confused.

"I, ah, remember leaving the manor and then I recall being on a metal table tasting something horrible ... the rest is ... fog."

The derro has a light crossbow, 10 quarrels with some sort of blackish substance coating them, a wand, and a scroll of suggestion on her.

"Ummm but yeah, we found her and sadly, we had to kill her, it completely ruined my day." Aidon pauses again, "Though not as badly as I am sure it ruined hers..."

Natalaya looks visibily relieved and collapses into a nearby chair. "Yeah, I think I mentioned to you that she was a rat. Can't believe she's finally dead. It's like a great weight has been lifted off of me. I may go out to the bazaar today and not be worried about being stabbed in the kidney," she jokes weakly.

"I have something for you. I don't believe I'll be needing them again. Thinking of taking up life as a baker," Natalya reaches behind her chair and pulls out a box and pushes it towards you. Inside are a pair of black leather calf-high boots.

Cat Burglar Boots:
These soft-solde boots provide their wearer with a +2 competence bonus to Acrobatics, Climb, and Stealth.

1/day as an immediate action, the wearer can reroll any one of the above skill checks taking the second result.

Natalya shows you a secret compartment with a set of MW thieves' tools. Normally it would take a DC22 Perception Check to notice

She turns to face the whole party, looking from one to the other, "What about the other Girls? Did any of them live? They weren't all bad, you know ...," tears well in her eyes as she trails off.

Natalya comes out of a back room, stretching like a cat as she yawns. "Heard you all were back ... hey! That pendant was on the skeleton near where I found the shard! You guys find that there?" She looks excited and then her face drops, as she gets serious and asks in a flat voice.

"Did you find Ayala?"

Female Varisian Burglar 1/Sorceror 2

"Yeah, i wouldn't mind that."

Female Varisian Burglar 1/Sorceror 2

"A moment. If you should happen to find and kill Ayala Jaleski for me, I'd be eternally grateful. She's the driving problem behind the Tower Girls problems and if she's defeated, I think they'd return to their roots. Be advised, though ... she's a wererat and has infected some of the others. Bring silver," she advises.

Are you returning her gear or no?

"Why were they hiding something? I don't really know"
she shrugs.

"I could sketch out the rooms as I remember, if that would help? I could take you and guide as well, although I'm not feeling in top shape ... and I seem to have misplaced my gear," she looks around a bid confusedly.

"The doors were massive and made of some strange metal. It had runes on it that were scalding hot to the touch. There's no lock that we could pick. I agree, it seems like someone was hiding something important."

Female Varisian Burglar 1/Sorceror 2

"A blonde you say?" Natalya ponders and then confirms a few more descriptive details with Fulmen.

"Terisha Skilonio," the Sczarni thief sighs. "She's the second-in-command of the Tower Girls. Looks like they're still angry with me for taking off with the shard. She fled to reconsider options and report back to Ayala Jaleski, I'm sure. She's a fighter, but not suicidal. They know where I am and who you are then ... she never forgets a face. They're probably gathering their forces in the Crow, right now."

When Tarric fires at her, she leans back for a moment, slightly stunned. "Yes, ah, a few days ago I guess. We had just been run out of our turf by the Wreckwash Blades, squatting at Fenster's cess pit when I was out looking for loose pieces of the Irestone to sell for a few coins and I stumbled across a secret door down at the beach next to the Crow. I led the rest of the girls there and we searched through a series of rooms finding a couple more secret doors and settling in. On one of our triprs, I found this crazy set of double doors we couldn't get past with an old skeleton in a room nearby. It had that shard lying next to it. I took it ... and then it made me leave."

Knowledge Local/History Magnimar DC12:
While a few of the pilings have a few rooms in them, the Crow has been known to have no entrances whatsoever ... until now

Female Varisian Burglar 1/Sorceror 2

The Varisian girl sits up and murmers something inaudible, likely in her own tongue before she says, "Thank you." to Tarric.

She responds to Relan first, looking at him for a moment, almost searching his face, "I remember you ... I ... I am sorry. I cannot believe the things I've done since I found that hunk of metal. My friends, those poor people ... and the way I lived .." she trails off, despondent. She continues.

"Worst of all, I still feel despair from not accomplishing my dreams. I know now that those feelings were from the shard, but the great let down of failure still sits in my stomach. How pathetic is that?" she says morosely, fighting back tears.

After a few minutes of staring at the floor she weathers the bombardment of Fulmen's questions, almost flinching as each is asked of her. "I found it in a secret chamber in the Crow," she states flatly.

Knowledge Local/History DC 10, related to Magnimaar:

The Crow is one of the pilings of the Irespan, the ruined monolithic bridge that extends partially into the water. It is the fourth pillar on the north side. It is named because of it's signature external carvings. Each of the other pilings has a similar name.
