My intent here is to use my Mesmerism ability to convince William that I have actually taken a mild poison (while, of course, not) and that it momentarily affects me and is then essentially immediately cured. Is that a reasonable use of the skill? (obviously, dice rolls will determine if it works, but is the use itself reasonable?. Assuming it is :
