Then is as I spected at first, before seeing/reading those ninja with vows.

Thank you all for your answers and help!

Hello fellow gamers!

My group and I have some questions about the monk vows, it has been so much discussed about but I've seen answers at "both sides" and no a "last word".

To keep it short: My little brother's character died by the fate of 3 critical hit (yes, it's not a myth!). He wanted to play with something ranged this time and, from de thing we've seen that use to be recommended, he liked the Zen Archer. He have seen some vows that he like for his character (if needed he will role play them with no extra ki).

- Can a he take vows even if the archetype replaces "still mind"?

Reading some old threats I've seen that ninjas can take them too and they do not have it so, even if at first I thought I would not be possible now I'm not sure. But, if he cannot take them:

- Would it be unbalancing letting him take them? Maybe just one or two? (I don't know how many and which ones he like).

If I remember properly, a monk can take any vow at any level...

- What happen if a Monk (no archetype) get them after level 3? He still have "Still mind" or he lose it?

Thank you all for your time.

I would never imagined that the flat properties are always added at the "end", even if the weapon already had it.

Thank you so much to you both for your answers and help!

Hello fellow gamers!

First of all, I'm still quite new to pathfinder (and roleplaying games in general) so, the question maybe it's obvious for some (almost or even all) of you but I have seen some different answers to this in various posts; I've tried to discover how to do it by myself but I don't have anyone to correct me if I'm wrong.

As far as I've been able to understand, if I want to buy a magic weapon (let's use a +2 Greatsword and a +1 Impervious Greatsword as examples) I would have to pay:

Example 1: The +2 Greatsword:
-> 350gp for a masterworked (300gp) Greatsword (50gp).
-> +2.000gp to make it "+1".
-> +6.000gp to increase it to "+2"
Total price: 8.350gp

If I want to make it "flaming" (price marked as "+1 bonus") this +2 Greatsword I should have to pay an additional 10.000gp (fot a total price of 18.350gp).

- Have I calculated the price properly?

Example 2: The +1 Impervious Greatsword:
-> 350gp for a masterworked (300gp) Greatsword (50gp).
-> +2.000gp to make it "+1".
-> +3.000gp to make it "Impervious" (it have a flat price).
Total price: 5.350gp

- What should I have to pay to make it "flaming" if I already have the "+1 Impervious Greatsword"? 15.350gp, 18.350gp, other?

Thank you all for your time.

I've not seen the thread the time I've been looking for an answer... And I've been searching for a few hours; I guess I'm getting old and slow XD

I would never thought that the answer could be on "Occult Adventures" too.

Thank you so much for your answers and help!

Hello fellow gamers!

First of all, I'm quite new to pathfinder (and roleplaying games in general) so, the question maybe it's obvious for some people but I have not been able to find an answer.

- Could I take a favored class option that grants a bonus to an ability, power or something else without having it at the moment?
For example, human bonus to barbarian "Superstition" rage power before getting that rage power.

If you don't mind, I would be interested on knowing where the answer can be found in addition to the answer itself...

Thank you all for your time.
