Playing a campaign as a super sheisty lvl 6 Evil Cleric (Magic, Trickery), that really leans on Bluff, Stealth, Disguise and Diplomacy. Other PC is an equally sheisty Wizard.
So, we're on this resort island where we're supposed to overthrow the local government, but instead our characters decided that it'd be a lot more fun to mingle with locals, spread rumors about us being rock stars, and we're essentially turning the campaign into a Spring Break vacation, filled with lots and lots of lies.
So we're in this tavern, and we see this guy in the VIP area that's surrounded by beautiful women, but we don't really care about him, and we convince the manager of the tavern that he's been fired and that we were hired to replace him (we do this pretty much everywhere we go), and that goes well and the manager leaves. Now, at this point, my character is flying high but feeling a little envious of this super handsome VIP guy that's covered with women, so we start messing with him via Diplomacy and Bluff checks, but he is absolutely crushing us with wisdom and charisma checks, which is rare for us. Eventually, my character challenges him to a duel in front of everyone (he looks like a sorcerer, but I'm pretty okay in combat), and he agrees and he just absolutely beats the hell out ox me with his bare fists. He leaves me alive but unconscious and leaves.
Now, I didn't think about it at the time, but this guy MUST have been an alternate form dragon, based on a few little tidbits that the GM let slip. Obviously combat didn't work well for me and my skill checks (although high for lvl 6) are no match for this guy. But I really need to live up to my "rock star" persona, and this d-bag is totally hogging our spotlight, so we're trying to figure out a good ruse or trap to set him up to either publicly embarrass him, trap him somewhere to make him "disappear," or (preferably) to kill him outright.
At the moment, I'm thinking about disguising myself and maybe poisoning him, but I'm really running out of feasible ideas. Anyone have any advice? We really, really need to get this guy out of the picture so we can continue spinning our web of lies, specifically us being rock stars. Any advice would be super helpful, I'm just at a loss right now.
