Morana Trailborn was born to two freeloading halflings who were always stowing away on some caravan or another. Of course, they abandoned her as soon as they felt the responsibility. Morana was raised by a priest of Desna, a 'lady of the road'. She was trained to fight brigands by the mercenaries, and became very good with the starknives of her order. One day, her caravan was attacked, the mercenaries and all her friends stolen from her. She was the only one left - the only one to prevent the shadow creature from desecrating her adoptive father. She prefers not to talk about that much anymore, but she still keeps a jar full of that shadow's essence, reminding her what she has been hunting for all these years.
