I have not yet read all the AP. I am curious if everything that happens and is referenced in the path limited to just the city of Otari and the lighthouse. More specifically, if I were to uproot the city and lighthouse and drop those 2 things into a homebrew world, could I run the books as is? Or would I have to modify some things because X,Y and Z refer to Golarion specific things?

Hello there. I am running a 2e mini campaign for friends with the purpose of all of us learning the rules and whatnot. To that end I would like to have sessions and encounters designed to focus on the high points of their classes.

They are a monk, champion, ranger and cleric.

I kind of have something for the champion as there have been and will be undead.

What are some ideas for the other classes? I plan on having a session that focuses on the ranger that involves tracking through the forest.

So I just received a notification that my credit card has fraud on it. I'm in the process of acquiring a new card. I have already received my order spawn email, but not the shipment email. If I change to a new card before shipment will that affect shipment as it will be a different card than order spawn?

I come to the forum seeking answers because something is not clicking in my brain on this topic.

I understand the different grades. They are used for lower and higher level items. In looking at the various statblocks on precious materials (CRB 578) I was finally able to suss out what they meant in referring to thin items and whatnot. Awkward wording in my opinion.

I see different materials having different costs based on the grade/level if the item. But, how do those prices mix with the chunks/ingots above that?

I can't figure this out. If someone could explain this to me I would be grateful. Take me step by step.

So, the playtest is under way. I assume people are submitting survey answers when they have playtested something.

My question is this - will there be a 2nd version of rules to playtest? Or will we only ever have this one version before a final product?

One debate that is occurring across a few threads in this forum is should an Oracle's Curse be always on or tied to the uses of the Revelation spells?

I say put me down for the curse being always on. If it is tied to usage of Revelation spells it is too easy to opt out of a major part of the theme of the class. In PF1 curses were always on. They never increased or decreased in intensity.

I started thinking about why I liked my Oracle from 1st edition. I liked that I could create a healer that had more freedom in spell usage. Unlike a Cleric, I could cast whatever I wanted whenever I wanted assuming I had spell slots left. I was more limited than a Cleric yet I had more freedom. The curse was something that I used to help flesh out who my Oracle was. I went with the language curse because it was interesting to start speaking a language no one else in the party understood during combat.

In PF2 I still have the limited flexibility that I had in 1e. I'm good with that.

As it stands right now I can create a Life Oracle and take her to level 20 and never once get hit with a curse. At all. That doesn't seem right. Or thematically appropriate.

For the people that want curses tied to revelation spellcasting - why?

The wording is a little awkward in this section:

you disperse positive energy in a 30-foot burst with the effects of a 3-action heal spell with a level 4 lower than that of the spell you cast.

My goodness.

I understand the theme involved. But, it is good game design to have a class feat that can potentially kill your character?

I just noticed that this order was shipped without any AP book. My Pathfinder AP was accidentally cancelled by Sam Phelan. It was supposedly added back in. What happened? Did I lose a discount because of this? It's also not showing up in my digital content so something is apparently wrong here.

So, I do not know what the timetable is, but the tracking for this package has not updated since last Friday. Just thought I would give a heads up.

So, in tonight's stream with Mark, Jason and Logan, Jason mentioned about trying to do new classes and archetypes going forward instead of *just* redoing everything from 1st edition.

So, what kinds of classes and whatnot could they do that weren't done in 1e?

So in a module or AP, when they list at the start of a stat block Moderate 1 or Severe 2 etc, that means it's that type of encounter for that level, right?

This isn't a rules question.

My friends and I were going over the books last weekend. I was flipping through the spells and was reading some out loud at random. I read PW:K. You speak a word - stuff dies. Essentially.

My friend didn't like that. He was looking at it from a player's perspective. No saving throw and your character is dead.

Which got me to thinking and wondering. Has Paizo ever put out a monster that had PW:K on it's spell list?

What has been released so far? I'm just looking for module size adventures. Not AP length.

So, with downtime being hard coded into 2E will downtime be written into all APs going forward?

I know what the stat is. I'm talking about the word choice. Why armor *class*? What does class mean in regards to armor?

And the same question can apply to DC. Difficulty *class*

These are the thoughts that kept me out of the really good schools.

So, I keep hearing that items are going to be different in 2E. Wands are apparently gonna change and whatnot.

I would love to see some creative type roll through these books and kind of do a loot replacement.

Or come up with a good chart/guideline for converting loot from 1E to 2E.

Hello there. Normally I would wait and let the World Book problem be sorted out by you all, but I noticed other problems with my account. So, I thought I would bring them up.

The Druma book is still listed on my order. I do not want that book. I want to start the sub with the new 2e book.

On display the website appears to show my current credit card as one of my older cards. Not the one I currently use. I would like to change that.

And I would also like all of my store credit to be applied to the big July/August shipment.

Hello there. I just got off the phone with my local post office and it appears that my box went missing. The pallet that it was a part of was scanned into the post office. Others in that shipment have received multiple further scans. Mine hasn't. So, it appears that my shipment got lost somewhere.

Hello there. I am currently waiting for the shipping notification for my subscriptions. However, we learned that there was a fraud on our card so we are in the middle if switching things over to a new card. I tried updating my payment methods here but can't tell if I'm successful or not. My old way was a Discover card. My new way is a Visa. I inputted the new card, but I don't know if it will get used for the upcoming shipment.

As things always play out differently than they read, how do people think this group will fare with *very* limited arcane. Based on experience, what encounters/obstacle may need tweaking?

As of this date, they have finished the first 2 tomb raids in book 1. Next session they will receive the 3rd tomb.

Due to the Starfinder core book selling out, I am wanting to make sure that the Alien Archive books I've ordered are accurate.

I have a subscription to the Starfinder RPG book. That one is listed on my account. With this order I added another Alien Archive. When I added extra core books, the extra ones showed up on my orders page somewhere.

The AA from this order does not appear to be showing up in my orders. I just want to make sure that everything will be in place when October comes around.

For my August shipment I want to receive a total of 3 Starfinder core books. I already have 1 with the sub. If I add two to my shopping cart and finish the order, will I receive 3 books then? Will it confuse the system?

Also, as a subscriber to the regular AP, does that discount also apply to Starfinder stuff?

I had replied to my order spawn email over the weekend asking that my companion be moved to my sidecart so it can ship with my much larger August order. I just got the shipment email in the mail today. I basically don't want to pay more in shipping that the book costs.

Seeing as how currently I am only scheduled to receive one item in July, would it be possible to delay that item till August when I will be receiving quite a bit of product? And if the delay is possible, would that affect the PDF of my July item?

I am still a relatively new GM. I'm about to start book 6 of my first AP and first time DMing. I want to get to a point where I can roll with any curveballs thrown my way. So, I would like to learn from people that have done this.

If you've run APs and had PCs go off on unexpected and unforeseen tangents, how have you dealt with it? Did you try to get them back on track? Let them go? Did you ask for a break in the session to gather some thoughts?
