Backstory:
Mishal was always a little different. Well, he was never a little anything, but he was certainly different. Growing up in Urglin was tough enough as it is, but with the complicated pregnancy and childbirth, growing up an orphan in Urglin was even harder.

With little else in his life, he was "adopted" by a devotee of the Fire God who saw a light in him like precious few others of this age, one which was cultivated and fed, much like a flame, and which manifested in a manner unlike any that had been seen in ages, slowly learning to wrap first his fists, then his entire body in flame and a substance akin to molten metal, almost, but completely cool to the touch unless he wished it otherwise.

As the boy grew into a man, the flames grew hotter, and the metal more refined, eventually coalescing into the near-orb of roiling metal embedded in his chest, seen by his adoptive family as a blessing from the Fire God, and believed by Mishal himself to be a direct channel to him, given the orb's predilection for speaking to him telepathically. Despite them both being wrong, it is out to help him, an ancient spirit who worked with the runelords back when they were a more relevant power, and brought back to the world of the living with little memory, but a dreadful attraction to Sandpoint, for some reason, pulling Mishal there just in time for campaign starts here.
