No worries! Happy to play without the self-imposed restriction if the PC is otherwise acceptable (and there's room).
Pondering some more and I'm thinking Tanner might be a mute Witch. Still similar backstory of being a merc, but spell caster type. The creepy guy that doesn't talk, but sometimes is sounds like that rat he carries in his pocket is saying something. GM, if my application is accepted, would I be allowed a mute spellcaster? I don't want to take away Verbal component of spells, but would have it so the familiar is the one speaking the arcane utterances to create the magic. Or, I imagine someone without a tongue might be able to form the right arcane words with the aid of their patron. Tanner would be a human NE (Demonsworn) Witch of the Nightmare Patron (happy to have GM decide patron). With the Mercenary (bonus to negotiating rates) and Amorale Mercenary (campaign) traits. I'll gen up a full character sheet if this is acceptable.

I didn't quite follow the thread to see who's playing what, but I'm inclined to throw my hat in the ring: Tanner Dinar:
Three people can keep a secret, if two of them are dead. Or maybe one is alive, one is dead, and one is Tanner, a mute and illiterate sell-sword that would rather dice and fight than find a way to convey a secret. Tanner wasn't born a mute, but you run your mouth off to authorities in Cheliax enough and you're bound to break some arbitrary local lord's rule that gets your tongue cut out. After that, it became a game of proving value through violence and might that built Tanner a small reputation in the surrounding area of Longacre. When the Hellfire Compact was proposed, Tanner finally found an avenue to earn the coin he owed ol' Cimri Staelish. He would sell his skills to this "Thrune" and have enough to buy a dice hall for himself one day.
In my mind, he's a martial character, but wouldn't have to be. Would just have to get creative with any mute spellcasting by GM fiat? Also, was considering him to be a trigger man through and through. LN type that adheres to whatever contract he's pledged himself to.

Oooooooohh, another Traveller new player. Yay!
Either way, totally fine with someone else being the Captain. I'm pretty regular on the posting too (luxury of a software job). My wife is my sounding board for most of my PC gen and she told me I should be a boat mechanic (fwiw, no context given to her) so I suppose that's my angle. However, I will not be taking her name recommendation this time... "Reginald The Mighty" doesn't seem appropriate for the setting.

Hi! I'm Gary aka Mirko. I've been playing TTRPGs since 2015 or so. Mainly Pathfinder 1e/2e but a healthy smattering of 5e and Vampire the Masquerade. I've GM'd and played in both PF systems but 2e is my favorite. Currently playing an online Discord based Foundry VTT game in 1e and several PbP 2e games (also run by Tarondor). I have exactly 0 Traveller experience but am excited after digging into the rules a bit. Big sci-fi fan so I'm happy to scratch this itch. As for Career, I'm not partial to anything just yet and am happy to let the dice muse for me. If I had to choose, I suppose Navy would be my choice as it was my choice years ago... Looking forward to good times and good story!

Definitely curious to see how they make PF2e guns in a similar niche to 1e. My 1e gunslinger was a true glass cannon and only concerned himself with dishing out as much damage as possible. I'm interested in how it will compare to a fighter when it comes to damage output. I imagine it'll be about the same. Also, thank you GM Tyranius!

Internalizing her feelings, Lilika rises and resumes her normal stoic demeanor. "Frizz, stop crying and get up. It's not helping. We're still down here and need to find a way." She moves about the room in a practical pattern, searching for any clues or things of value. "Lukas or Perfire, could one of you search the mages body?" How did this mage get in and out of here...? She thinks to herself.

The gruesome sight materializes in front of Lilika as the sphere slowly dissipates. Her druidic instincts tell her the danger is no longer present and she steps over to stand next to Perfire. "You did your best." She says laconically while briefly placing a hand on Perfire's shoulder. She walks over to Frizz and Lukas in turn.
Lastly, she moves to Wymond. Her mouth tightens with brief emotion and then relaxes to its normal stoic expression. Kneeling down next to his motionless body with her back to the others, she silently begins to stroke Triaths coarse fur, a single tear rolls down her cheek.

Being trapped in the sphere causes Lilika's primal energy to surge.
Wild Morph, Strike, Strike. She attacks the sphere?

Lilika strides over to the small gnome and grabs her by the wrist before she can touch the lever. "No."
Let's not be overly excited now... Lilika channels her remaining primal energy into the room. Three Action Heal Lvl1: 1d8 ⇒ 1
Then focusses solely on Wymond.
She begins to inspect Perfire for magical maladies.
Glancing over at the red haired gnome bouncing with excitement, she comments to the group.

Surfacing with a frustrated exhale, Lilika glances back at the group and sees a horrible foe. She then utters the Druidic words "Sciotán nascmhíl" as she lunges forward toward the foe.
