I would think that Brigh and Casandalee would be good choices.

Casandalee apparently does have Firearms as a favored weapon. I was looking for specific guns so maybe I just missed her on the chart of gods I found. Or she was not listed.

So there is at least one true neutral deity that relies on guns.

Going to be a busy week for me. I may not get the chance to post everyday. Please bot Alister if needed. I will be back to normal by Friday.

I'll be attending GenCon Online for the next four days, so please don't expect much of me.

Have some IRL stuff going on. Might be less responsive the next week or so. Please bot as needed to move things along.

Just a random thought, but if this is a ancient creature, maybe we could just study it or something? The scientist Mirko is sad Kern doesn't have any talk with animal spells or something...

Apropos of nothing, I'm running a One-Shot adventure for game-day. Sign up is HERE

Well that went fast. What level is it?

No idea. I know nothing beyond the title.

But I do know there are something like 30 tables for just that game, so I'm sure you can get in.

Alister, if you join up, tell them you have a friend who wants to play at the same table. :)

I haven't heard of any Teamwork feats yet but we could come up with something I'm sure. :)

Happy Halloween you magnificent bastards!

Happy Halloween! Go to sleep, Tarondor!

We're taking a Jack the Ripper tour in Whitechapel tonight....

Fun!

I went to sleep. But now, six hours later, I'm GMing... Or, listening to my players make exciting shopping plans while I check in here.

So, as I understand it the whole complex is slowly flooding. Not just the area we are previously in.

If that is true, do we have any idea how much time until this new area starts to flood as well?

Are you asking me? Or the players?

'Cause that sounds like a job for "Lore: Engineering"!

Alternately, you could go back and take a look at what's happening the flooded areas above you.

Human Fighter [Cleric & Alchemist Devotion] 10- HP 136/136 - AC 30 - F: +19 R: +18 W: +18 - Speed: 30, Init: +5 - Perception +21: Hero Points- 0: Exploration Activity=Investigate

That was a question for you. But if anyone has Lore: Engineering it would come in useful now. I mam fresh out of that at the moment.

I think you may have to use the old ways: direct observation.

Mikhail is leveled up. Sadly, I do not get more Cleric spell slots a day.

I am now an Alchemist though. So every day I plan to hand out 2 elixirs to everyone to use as needed. I mainly plan to do the Lesser Elixir of Life so everyone can head 1d6 and add +1 to saves vs diseases and poisons for 10 mins. I do have a variety of other possible elixirs so if you want something else you can let me know. But this should add a healthy amount of healing and potentially some more utility for the group.

As for the plan. I do have a water breathing available before we go to sleep that would last an hour. We can drag her out of here now if we want to and then rest.

Human Bard (Sorcerer) 10 [hp 128/128 | F+18, R+19, W+18 (+2 vs Sleep) | AC 28 | Perception +15 | Focus Points: 3/3]

Debating between advancing Alister's tattoo magic, which seems cool as if it represents his wife's magic getting stronger, or going for the straight power grab of a Rogue dedication. Two trained skills plus a free skill feat is hard to turn down.

I probably won't have a chance to update his sheet this weekend as I'm visiting Dover and Canterbury.

Kern is leveled. Not much for Ranger this level.

Took Crafting to Master. Now I get 6 snares/day that I should probably start using more....
Ranger DC goes up.
Ancestry into more mobility with a 10ft Step (actually two Steps for one action).
Also, enemies flat-footed to me in difficult terrain that is natural or created by snares. May have to place some more snares around. :)

On the one hand, Piotr going to 9th level means that we (most of us) no longer need to worry about getting out of the dungeon. He can learn Teleport, which means he can take 4 other targets with him.

Or, he can learn Water Breathing.

Teleport will be great. Water breathing is not as needed. I can provide that. And there is not much map that has water so it shouldn't come up often.

Still, its up to you to decide. I do have limited spell slots.

Teleport is a RARE spell. This means it's generally not available.

Canterbury Cathedral has a lodge that you can book rooms in. We got to stay on the Cathedral grounds and attend evening services. As an aside, I learned that the Archbishop of Canterbury actually lives just a 20 minute walk form us in London. While he has apartments in Canterbury, he normally lives in London.

Alister is updated. He took the tattoo upgrade.

Even though I studied Canterbury Tales in school, it was only by reading Bernard Cornwell novels that I came to understand that the name was from "Cantwareburh", the Burh or fortress, of the Kentish people. I knew "Kent" and I knew "burh", but I just never put them together.

I think we're just waiting on a thumb's-up from Piotr.

Sorry, Piotr, no teleports! At least not yet.

Teleport is a RARE spell. This means it's generally not available.

I am sorry ... where is the restriction preventing a wizard from selecting a rare spell upon levelling?

in the Rarity rule.

Rarity is meant as a way to permit or restrict certain elements from the game that fundamentally change how the game is played. Teleport is definitely one of those. I want to keep this as a game where travel is still central to the themes of the game.

Is Dimension Door available? Shape Stone?

Both of those are common, so they're definitely available.

Uncommon elements are usually available if you have the right background or you do the work in-game to acquire them.

Rare elements are just not in the game unless they're specifically part of the story.

You know what? Hold up. My mistake.

Teleport isn't rare, it's Uncommon.

So not only can you acquire it, but because Piotr is a Conjurer, he -can- do so when he levels up.

However, Teleport is a 6th level spell, so you'll need to wait until you're 11th level to write it into your spellbook as one of the two spells you acquire through levelling.

FYI, I'm looking for 1-2 players for my online "home" game of Age of Ashes Online.

Dark Archive

I would love to join in, but Sunday is family time.

Shadow Walk is also Uncommon, and available at 5th level. Can Piotr take that? Suitable for getting out of someplace, but (probably) not for getting in.

If it's Conjuration, you can take Uncommon. Otherwise it needs to be Common (but you could find Uncommon spells in play (say, by bargaining for them with other wizards, etc.)

EDIT: Shadow Walk is Conjuration, so feel free. And it is a bad-ass spell I rated highly in my wizard guide. Watch out for those shadow-beasts.

Did we ever sell anything from here?

That longbow could become pretty powerful since it can take one more property rune and a Greater Striking Rune for 1k GP.

I don't think so.

There's also this wedding gift. Not sure if we'd sell it though? Wasn't priced out.

Oh and BTW, we have 4 water breathing potions... lol

By my account, if we sell wand, morning star, and the assorted gems/stuff we'd be at 315.5GP per player.

Sorry I've been away. I've been ill. I'll try to catch up over the weekend.
