"Don't be ridiculous," Min scoffed. "You talk like you're winning, when we all know you've lost." She pointed her finger and shot an acid dart at the flying Swamp Speaker. Unfortunately, her confident words were belied by her poor aim. "Nsizi," she hissed, "see to Zeljka. Take the potion from my pack if you need it. Zeljka, just a few more arrows! Perhaps we might risk returning to the surface to ask the lizardfolk for healing, or perhaps even to rest, before going on to face this Daruthek, if time isn't quite so much of the essence?" tag Nsizi
"Well, that was rude," Min fumed when the silence dissipated. "Some friends of my parents used to think I should be seen and not heard, and I never cared much for them, either!" Action 1 "Honored to meet you, Lady Fafrail," Min replied, pulling off a serviceable curtsey. "We would be most grateful for any help you could provide. "I don't recall seeing a keyhole on any other doors, do you?" Min asks dubiously. "I don't trust it. Whatever you do, don't try to peek through it. Min's not going back in. She's taking more damage than she can possibly deal out and is going to be halfway to unconscious before she even has line of sight on the salamander. My idea was to protect our heavy hitter from fire damage and let her take on the salamander rather than all of us taking damage every round.
After the intense heat of the furnace, the sweltering bedroom felt pleasant. Min quickly pulled out one of the scrolls she had gotten from the lizardfolk. "Oh, excellent work, Bessie!" Min exclaimed excitedly, rushing forward through the puddle of dead ooze to congratulate the cow. "Really top notch! Perhaps we'll engrave a plaque to you back in Pridon's Hearth, hm? Congratulate it while it's here," she whispered aside to Nsizi. "It only has a few more seconds before it goes back where it came from."
"I wish I could speak with the aurochs," Min said worriedly. "I'd tell it to back off, and perhaps the ooze would follow it and allow us to slip out.
