Alia deftly trips the gnome, landing face first on the floor and clearly it not being the reunion he was expecting. He shuffled around and got himself to his feet.
"Alia!" Miles speaks up as he runs towards her and throws himself at her with open arms. "I'm so sorry I couldn't help you earlier! I missed you, all you guys!" the strange gnome mentions, without explaining where he's from or how we knows them.
Miles bows to everyone with a wide smile. "Nice knowing you all. Hope to see you again." he cast vanish and wasn't seen again. Performance goes silent. GM: [ooc]He'll remove the headband and reveal his true form, however still invisible and double move or move as fast as he can to get towards Alia.
"Anyone else with a wand of Curative magic?" he calls out, looking for anyone who could help him
"Awrite thaur leprechain?" the skald says to Miles.
Miles grins as he looks at Angus, before blowing him a kiss.
"Zokon, do you have a wand? I need to get it to Alia." he asks, holding his hand out, but continuing the last few rounds of his performance and advances slowly towards Angus before unleashing a powerful, calming note over the entire area to potentially suppress many of their opponents, including Angus.
GM:
Miles bites his lip after hearing this. "Alia..." he whispered under his breath, shaking his head for a moment as he realised he needed to deal with big and ugly there. He stepped away, casting Grease on the area right infront of Angus and grinned. "Angus! Is every member of your family a coward?!" he shouted towards the dwarf, still invisible for the moment. He was worried as he was running out of his performance.

Also yes it's the Skald ability. Another question though, if I use calm emotions on him and the ability goes down, does that mean those who are currently benefiting from it also lose their bonus?
Miles continues his performance, losing more words and knowing that the performance was coming to an end. He could probably keep it up, but there'd be no benefit to anyone and he had to deal with Angus somehow. He stepped to the side and used his gnomish powers to throw his voice by the well.
"Angus! I think I see your wife down here!" the sound goes off, appearing to come from the well "Big and green, just like you like them!" GM: Just want to ask one or two questions. Under information about Vanish and other invisibility spells is states that spells that target or include an enemy in their AoE would reveal the presence and break the invisibility, however, it also says anything that doesn't cause an offensive action you'd remain visible like opening and closing doors, moving stuff etc. Summoning creatures because you don't deal damage directly. I mention this because I want to ask about the possibility of putting up grease beneath him, but I don't want to do it if it breaks my invisibility. I also assume the charm person and blindness/deafness would cause an issue too and break the spell. Also I wanted to ask about the ability he has with channeling his rage. I was curious if the spell "Calm Emotions" could negate it, however I couldn't find anything to suggest this. Perhaps you know or could do a ruling? I was thinking of getting into a situation where I could attempt to disrupt his ability with Calm Emotions can do that. It's only because it's somewhat rage-based that I'm making this assumption, but I've seen no evidence to suggest I could stop it.
Miles just looked to the fey, not knowing why on earth this potential companion to the party is doing nothing, but he had to do something to get Angus out of that darkness since he couldn't see inside. That's when he decided to do something he always had a skill for. Winding people up. "Hi Angus! I heard the only kind of women you like are goblins!" he starts with a insult most dwarves would take offence to. Miles grits his teeth, finding himself in a horrible situation so he decides to take a step away from the raging dwarf and then casts a spell, dissappearing from view, but continuing the inspire courage.
Miles smirks and shakes his head. "If I turn my back, I can never possibly repent for what's happened." she turns to see that now he is well and truly cornered along with Erevenywg.Sylvan:
"You best help me so I can help my friends, I don't think this dwarf nor this horse will go down easily."
Miles smirks "Assisting my long-lost friends, that includes Scarlet! he exclaims loudly pointing his sword in his direction."I won't let them down again or run like a coward." as he says this his song continues as he takes a 5ft step back, casting a spell as part of his performance and then the notes suddenly become sharp and crystallized shards.
Dwarves pile out of the cathedral top and bottom, led by Warbeard. They take up [Bloody Angus's] chant. Miles is confused, especially with the approach of these angry-looking dwarves and not knowing whose side they might be on. For a moment he looks to Erevenywg and decides to talk to her in Sylvan. Sylvan:
"Why have you been following me? Also, can you do anything about that darkness? I can't see a thing in there." He continues his performance, uncertain about his next move.
Miles blinks, struggling to understand what on earth the Dwarf appears to be screaming as it sounds like some-kind of foreign tongue. "Reit? Crease baskit? Is that Orcish?" he asked, still not certain about the commands and draws his rapier and squints, being unable to see anything in the darkness, however he keeps up the performance to enhance the party's fighting capability.
Miles will move up to the north where the Fey was going as he hoped to try and track down that noble, whilst he continues the performance.
** spoiler omitted ** Miles almost stops his performance, but keeps it up and forces a smile on his scarred lip, making it more like a crooked grin. "Y-You must be mistaken, luv. My name is Miles." he states, but continues the performance, though steps away from the fey. "Err...let's talk once things calm down. with that he continues his movements, following Alia, but continuing his performance to aid in the battle against the elementals and see what's happening at the front gate.GM: Plot thickens, something tells me this won't work.
My assumption is perhaps she can see through glammer, but it doesn't explain how she knows who he is. Very troubling and not good for his paranoia, hence part of the reason he's keeping a distance between the two of them.
Miles continues his performance, watching as the battle goes on and hoping his power is assisting the group.
Miles will continue to maintain his performance for all to hear and wave towards the Fey who appears to be remaining out of combat.
Miles maintains the performance, hoping that his bardic abilities are helping everyone inch closer to destroying these extra-planar intruders.
Miles nods as he listens to Alia, he notices her suddenly get up as to follow the others and nods.
Miles decides to clear his throat, he had hoped this situation may not need to reveal itself until later, however, it's clear that they needed help. Just before he begins to sing he gives a wink to Alia before he starts out with a familiar melody.
Many in the group will recognize the song as one sung by Esme back with her travelling troupe in one of her most popular performances.
Miles takes this opportunity to approach Alia, sitting down casually whilst the others are gone and leaning over to ask a question quietly. Alia or DC 15 Perception, more further away:
"Miss, Alia was it? Forgive my manners, but I am curious. Why has your group come here to speak with the Lord. Is it just for pleasantries or something more? Maybe you are looking for someone?" he asks, but takes a quick look back and forth before leaning in and whispering "Or perhaps something to do with the Stag Lord?" Miles takes a swig of his ale and gives a smile towards the Lady Vsevolod before returning his gaze to Alia.
"Beetle, who is coming? Troops from Mivon?" The gnome raises his eyebrow at this "Does this mean someone may be in danger, my Lady?" he asks with a polite bow "Or has someone lit ours to invite the Lords over for some unknown purpose?" whilst he was asking this he glances back to Zokon and the group.
A Middle-aged looking Gnome with a scar on his lip, leaving a permanent sneer takes a seat with the group and takes a moment to survey the table as he forces a grin, but says nothing. GM:
Zokon: Though he fails to hide it from you, he seems particularly interested in you, Alia and Scarlet, however, he makes no motion otherwise. |
