Hi,
I have my wife and two kids accompanying me this year. Older one is 14, younger is 9.

Last year I had my older one "buddy" up with me for lottery events and it worked great.

Can I do the same thing this year with the younger one who is on a kids badge? I am only trying to sign up for kid friendly lottery events with him, but I just want to make certain the buddy system works with a kids badge?

Thanks!

Roughly 20 years ago I had a period of trouble getting to sleep and would listen to lots of different radio stations late at night trying to relax and get some zzzs. Half-asleep, or maybe three quarters asleep one night, I was listening to a Washington based station play a song called "For the Crow" and I believe the band's name was The Rubes, or The Rudes, or something similar. Of course, really enjoying the song, I fell asleep....When I woke up the next morning I decided to hunt for an album or single. In that dim near-Hyborian age before iTunes, the local indie store Zulu didn't have anything by this phantom group I'm not sure I actually heard, or just half-made up in my head.....Anyone Washingtonians actually remember this band? Or did I just dream up the whole thing.....

(And no, I did not just watch "The Crow" on TV that night.....)

My 6 year-old son Graeme is starring in a 20 second video clip showing off his own Jedi lightsaber move, the “Saddle Slash”. He has made it through the semi-finals (top 32) to be displayed on the Canadian “Join the Jedi” website, and he has been chosen by their judges' panel as one of eight finalists.

The contest winner will now be chosen by the public’s votes, and we’re hoping you can help him win!

If you're a Canadian resident, click on the link below and you can vote for Graeme’s video from November 21 to December 11 inclusive. You can place 1 vote per person per day. The contest prize?

1. His move will be featured on the Star Wars the Clone Wars animated TV series WITH his name in the credits!
2. A trip to Disneyworld for four

(Mom and Dad would be really excited to win the trip; my son is pretty geeked to see his name in the credits of Star Wars The Clone Wars.)

For some weird reason, it seems you have to create an ID to vote. If you can take a few minutes, please vote for Graeme's video by following these steps:

First, go to:
Join the Jedi

Then, to create an ID and vote:
go to the top right corner “login”
click NEW USER
create a username and password
wait for an email confirmation
click on the link in your email, find Graeme’s video (as above) and there will be a VOTE button under the video VOTE!

Every vote makes a difference, so please support Graeme with your votes! And May the Force be with you!

Hi everyone,
Well, after attending my first Paizocon (and my first any 'con) last year, enjoying myself immensely, and looking forward to this year's 'con for months.....I'm forced to bow out...If anyone can take my two badges off my hands and give them a good home, I will feel marginally better that they are put to good use.

Please make me an offer.....And have fun everyone who is attending!

I seem to have a problem with my registration. I 'think' I got into Greg A. Vaughn's audience group of 20 for Twisting Plots, but due to a conflict with a seminar at the same time it's not on my schedule.

It does say that there is a conflict with Creating Evocative Locations. However, when I try to drop the conflicting seminar it drops, but even though the option to add Twisting Plots is available, adding Twisting Plots won't save...

Anyone else have a similar problem?

My apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but what is the policy on young children at Paizocon? Just to clarify, I'm buying badges for my wife and I to attend. But we'll also be traveling with our 5 year-old and 6 month-old as we're driving through to a family vacation at Cannon Beach. She will probably spend a fair amount time "entertaining" our kids with other pursuits outside of Paizocon. But for the relatively small amount of time I might have one of the kids with me, does the 5 year-old need a badge to wander around with me? I'm assuming the 6 month old wouldn't?
