This one was fun, but the fight was a bit too tough for a full group of 6.
Don't get me wrong, I'm **all for** tough boss fights. But an elite adjustment is just a bit too deadly for level 1 folks. I think a +1 on everything and some extra HP would have been enough (or add a couple of throwaway pup mooks).
Other than that, I liked the short story and the background, and it was a fun concept.
This book reminds me of Faces of Sigil. That Planescape book was one of the best rules-lite splatbooks of all time that described, often in fiction form, all the NPCs of Sigil, their connections, motivations, and a ton of possible plot hooks.
This book is Golarion's equivalent as is that level of quality. It has great stories for those who just like to read about the setting. But is also can be used for many adventure ideas.
If you like Golarion, I highly recommend this book.
Having run this a few times, I really like how it flows. There is dialogue, exploration and skills, and a tough fight. The challenge level is just about right, and the extra lore bits are awesome. All in all, it's a really fun way to spend an hour and a half or so.
