Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

The dark skinned man scowls at the crone's words. "So I did."

Looking to each of the other beings in the tent, he remarks, "I seem to be the only one left waiting their deposit for future services."

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Maw"ud listens to the exclamations and lamentations of the other occupants of the tent. He quietly watches the others as they receive gifts from the wizened old woman in preparation for their journey. At her declaration that he possesses access to the palace of Ramakhet on Okeno, he quirks an eyebrow.

"Am I not Ramakhet's man? Do you presume me to be so easily and quickly swayed?"

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Sorry for not being available. Just found out Sunday that I have been promoted and had to work my Sunday night shift then attend training during the day this week. I will be able to catch up and post tomorrow night.

Updated character sheet

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

DMIVV:

Is there anything special about the falchion such as, being masterwork?

Maw"ud inspects the bejeweled falchion. He marvels at the exquisite flowing pattern in the metal. At the old crone's words, he gives her his attention, waiting to here the story of the bottle.

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Maw"ud is startled by the sudden entrance of the Osiriani. He works to recover the look of surprise on his face as the tall man moves purposefully through the tent to draw forth a remarkable falchion. At his words, the wiry dark skinned man gapes anew. He remembers himself in time to bow deeply and respond, "You honor me, effendi, with your generosity." Proffering the bottle, he adds, "Truly, the sands within this exquisite bottle do capture the imagination as much as the eye. Your request, my command, is fulfilled."

With a sarcastic, false obsequiousness, she replies, "I am but a simple peddler, Sayyid. I buy and sell the things I find in this store. I can only sell to the people who are here, before me. If you buy this bottle, it will be yours to do with as you wish. Turn around, sell it yourself, that is your business. If your master wished to buy the bottle from me directly, he would be here, himself, not you. Perhaps he fears what I would ask of him."

...And for you, Sayyid, filling this bottle is very easy when you can see that it is already filled!"[/b]

She holds out the bottle for Maw"ud to inspect. The blues and golds and iridescence of the glass makes it hard to view its contents, but it appears to be filled with shimmering sand. And yet, the grains yet appear suspended somehow, as if the gods took wisps of smoke, turned them to pearls, ground them to dust, and filled the bottle with that. It is a curious bottle indeed.

Stepping up to the elderly woman, Maw"ud accepts the bottle. Handling it gingerly, he peers within to see the contents swirling within the beautiful glass. "You claim your price already met and should it remain so, you shall find my payment made. Thank your Sayyidah. May the gods bless and keep you." Maw"ud bows deeply in respect for the aged merchant.

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Returning his attention to the exotic seller, Maw"ud continues, "Honored lady, I am more than a little surprised. I was tasked by my master to ask for a certain bottle. I was not tasked with making empty promises. If you care to explain your meaning, perhaps you would find me amenable to exceeding my authority."

"As for you," she adds, turning to Maw"ud, "The price for this bottle is simple, Sayyid. It is yours, if you promise to fill it."

Maw"ud inclines his head towards the old woman, opening his mouth to speak as the gnoll draws his flail. At the sound of the weapon hitting the floor, he slowly turns to appraise the situation. Silently, he listens as the exchange plays out. Once the barking has died out, he eyes the gnoll and calmly states, "You interrupt commerce. That is most decidedly not in the interest of the Duskwardens nor of the Nightstalls. If you feel a need to mark your territory, do it outside."

DM:

Giving Shaggar time to respond to my post before turning back to Yin Hu and completing my statement to her.

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Maw"ud steps forward and bows deeply to the elderly woman. "Yes, sayyidah. I am come at the behest of my master to receive the very same bottle from your hands."

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Ma"wud watches the scene unfold in silence. His attention centers upon the bottle as the catfolk hands it off to the ratfolk. His brow jerks upwards and a small smirk pulls at his lips at the thought of a cat and a rat in social company.

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Maw"ud hears the words of the newcomer as he enters the tent. His eyes dart to the gnoll at the sound of the unmistable canid accent. He notices it drop a cloak on the halfling and listens to his words of warning to the dimunitive figure.

Poor doggy seems upset at something. Probably just lost a bone.

=D

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Looking around at the contents of the tent, Maw"ud cannot believe he has never seen this particular stall before. He turns at the entrance of the old woman. At her welcome and pitch, his eyes slide back to the various wares with a new appreciation and greater understanding of his mission. The emaciated man keeps his ears open to the goings on of the other occupants to see how events play out.

DM:

Focus is on the catfolk and, in particular, the bottle.

FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS

I finally have free time to post to my pbp games...

[insert picture of crying middle aged white woman here]

Paizo.com is down again.

I will try to post in game now that the site is back up again.

Work blocked the site for me... Not easy with 12hr days...

That does suck. I have not been able to post yet tonight. Hella busy here right now. Will try later. I am here 5 pm to 7:30 am tomorrow so plenty of time left. =D

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

I thought that work had finally blocked this site. That was a very bad feeling...

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Maw"ud starts at the sight of the object of his search. How can this be? What fortune literally falls at my feet?

He scrambles for the bottle...

Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 8

...tripping over one of the catfolk in his haste.

"Umph! Please excuse my awkard feet, I..."

Maw"ud falters in his apology as, following the cat's gaze, he sees the tent of Hin Yu and the wares showing forth from within the opening.

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Dallas, Texas, CST. I start work at 11 pm and sleep during the day so, I rarely post outside of work.

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Still ready and rarin' to go! I am a little worried that I might slow down the posting as everyone else seems to post in the middle of my night. =)

Male Human (Keleshite) Ranger/1 (Shapeshifter)

Sorry for the late arrival. I was under the weather and stayed home from work last night.

I was also very curious at the selections. I did not expect to see Shaggar and Maw"ud in the same party. I especially like that we are each others favored enemies. =D

Just as I have to say almost every Saturday morning when I sit down at a table of Pathfinder Society... No clerics does not mean no healing. We have four characters who have healing spells and/or can use healing wands without UMD. The other two characters may even have ranks in UMD.

I have updated my character and am racing the rooftops on some as yet to be created game thread.

Appearance, Background and Equipment are now complete. Maw"ud alWawi is now ready.

Good luck to everyone!

Going through the apps:

Maw'ud alWawi: Missing equipment, animal companion, and background/appearance. Looks quite interesting so far!

No animal companion until 4th level. Working on the rest.

Here is drayen's human ranger. I still need to add appearance, background and equipment.
