Hey Folks!
I'm willing to take over the game if you'll have me :)
American holiday weekend here, so I should have time to read through everything. Love what I've seen so far.
Could you help me out by doing one thing for me? Give a 1-2 sentence description of your character and a current (at level 4) statement of their motivations. It would be a big help in focusing the AP on what is most interesting for your characters.
Hey folks!
I'm willing to pick up the game. I'll pop over to the thread and talk details.
Laser wolves make the perfect pet! Easy to take care of, spend a lot of time sleeping.

Folks in the other campaign said that they reached out to the GM mid-month and they were tangled in some work stuff, followed by a two-week vacation. The table is giving him some more time to get back in action, not looking for a replacement.
No worries, guys. I'll pop over to the other campaign and fill them in. (I don't think they had any contact with DA other than the forums.
If things don't end up working out, shoot me a DM.
I'll poke my head in over there and see if they have heard anything.
Hey folks,
Have you heard from the GM at all in a while? The other table that they were running hasn't been able to get ahold of them, and they started looking for a replacement GM.
There are a couple of people potentially interested, if you folks are looking for a replacement as well.
I'd be potentially able to pick up the game, too. But if you want to run it, Elinnea, go for it! I'll keep an eye on the thread.

"While the city-states of Iblydos have a long, storied history, the Pathfinder Society has little connection and fewer resources in that part of Golarion. Thus, when Venture-Captain Calisro Bennary has the opportunity to get a lodge set up in Hoimpeia, one of the chief port cities, she races back to Absalom to collect veteran agents for the task. Her contact isn't giving connections and a site for a lodge away for free. Something has been harassing shipping, and while the authorities are happy to let merchants take a longer route, the change has cost a particular merchant dearly. If the Pathfinders can clear up the shipping lanes, the merchant will move heaven and earth to get them a foothold in Iblydos."

We'll start as soon as everyone is ready.

I'll make my combat abilities ranged, then. Lots of people up front is always fun, though.
Hey hey! Happy to be playing. I was saying in recruiting that I've been thinking about a Palantine Detective, but I'm flexible.
I'd like to play a Palantine Detective Investigator, I think.

I enjoyed our Rusthenge game and I'd be excited to play Shades of Blood! I would hope to build a character that fits into the party, so I'll hold off on character ideas for now.

UVAtom wrote: So how does a new character who played the Battle of Hellknight Hill continue on with the metaplot? They would only be level 1 Heyo- Good question. The "Battle's Spark" metaplot tag designates any of the scenarios that touch on the conflict between Andoran and Cheliax. Since the conflict is happening all over the Inner Sea and beyond (check out the War Gazetteer in Battlecry!) the adventures aren't as closely connected unless they are specifically Part 1 and Part 2, like the upcoming #7-06: Brastlewark at War Part 1: The Gnome Defection and its eventually forthcoming sequel.

Great work on the GM tracking sheet, HMM. Very helpful!

I'd love to play with you folks. I've done a lot of PBP, but never really a sandbox campaign.
1) What draws you to this game, with all of its potential pitfalls, in particular? I'm drawn to the player-driven focus, and the possibility to explore Golarion without the strictures of canon on our actions in the story. I think that focusing on a team that is helping each other accomplish their goals leads to a great vibe in the adventure squad. There are also more part of Golarion that I want to write about than Paizo will ever let me :P.
2) Do you feel that you will have the time and energy to come up with hooks for the group? Yes. I have some thoughts already and some pet things in Golarion that I've wanted to explore.
3) Do you feel that you will be able to eagerly engage with others' hooks if yours is not the one that the group chooses to change at any given time? Yes. One of the best parts of PBP, imo.
4) What are the characteristics you think make a good PBP partner, whether DM/GM or PC? What do you do to encourage these characteristics in others? Actively responding to posts by others (not just waiting your turn to talk), avoiding monopolizing scenes (even if the focus is on your character's plotline), and moving things forward. Timely posting is also very important.
5) What one question would you ask me, or other players, to determine if they were a good fit with you? How do you plan to help move the story forward and maintain momentum without the support of an over-arching plot?
Great. I'll play the ranger 3. I'll get the profile updated by this afternoon. He's a bit of a GM blob.
If you don't want it, phaeton, I've got a ranger that I would play.
Oddly, missed playing this one! I have a couple different characters:
Ranger 3
Fighter 2
Cleric 1
I'll get my character together by Monday night.
I'm planning on some type of mystic. Elemental, rhythmn, and shadow all seem interesting, so I'll decide when the book comes out.
Whatever ancestry I pick, I'm going to be prismeni. (I'm leaning Barathu or Skittermander.)
I'll recommend (completely unbiased) Genzaeri as a Gorum replacement for those still looking. Some of the new orc gods might also be a good fit, particularly Varg.
Heyo! Love to play some Starfinder. I'll likely play a mystic.
Sorry, I didn't notice the switch to rallying anthem last round. It would have been a miss.
The red worm continues to swim eratically in Jackie's square and tries to take a nibble of him.
Fly, Strike, Strike
The creature connects once, but Jackie counters with his shield.
Red Vs. Jackie
jaws: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 for piercing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
jaws: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 4 = 22 for piercing: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Before Your Turn: Remember Rallying Anthem! (3/4)

Ma'elo (+2 vs mental)
Alexandrios

"A thousand thanks for your warm welcome, your majesty," Raneshi stands and offers. "I am Raneshi Glyph of Nantambu. I bring greetings and assistance from the Magaambia, for our cousins to the north. My enchantments played some roll in supporting these other heroes at the beach, as we drove our enemies back."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
I'm leaning toward a level 3 thaumaturge. If War of Immortals gets sanctioned today, I might bring a level 3 animist, though. (Seen sitting on a GM blob.)
Hey folks! I have a few different PCs in tier, so I thought I'd see what other people were playing before I picked.

Jerrod Owex wrote: When will the PDF be available for those of us who have a subscription? Is it in two weeks(August 1st) or will it be sooner? Some of the videos covering the new stuff have made it sound like the book is already available. It's made me SUPER confused, though honestly, confused is a fairly common feeling for me! Your PDF will be available when you physical copy ships. That's a process that usually takes a while, so you may see people get their PDFs before you get yours. (Their books were just earlier in the shipping cue.)
Yelayne would love her worshipers costuming an opera, and probably take care of the rest of the company, too boot!
The pantheon she's in, the Resplendent Court, would be a good fit for opera or operetta, too. (Especially if you're doing Gilbert and Sullivan.)

Three quick recommendations, based on your preferences. Caveat: I'm recommending these mostly as a player, and I haven't finished all of them yet.
Season of Ghost
-Willowshore is a great home base, full of NPCs to interreact with.
-Clear from the beginning what the basic problem is.
-Serious Tone
-Nice variety of social, skill, and combat encounters.
(I'm playing Book 3 right now, and this is probably my favorite 2e AP so far.)
Quest for the Frozen Flame
-The Following is like a moving base, full of NPCs to care about.
-Clear antagonist from early on
-Serious tone/survival adventure
-Good if you are looking for a low-level, wilderness adventure. If your group doesn't love the hexploration part, it's easy to streamline the adventure. Not a ton of subsystems to worry about, so a fun adventure to add things in and customize to your group.
Stolen Fate
-If you want to start at a higher level.
-No spoilers, but you get a customizable home base pretty quickly.
-Clues to the main antagonist early on.
-Serious, world-shaking stakes.
Some other adventures that fulfill part of your ask:
Fists of the Ruby Phoenix: So fun, but maybe more gonzo than you are looking for)
Blood Lords: I don't usually like evil campaigns, but I've been enjoying this.
Age of Ashes: You might want to tune down some encounters. Check the GM threads.

Hey, I'm in plenty of games! Your game collapsed too.
Hey Cody!
I had a run of this that pooped out in the Citadel, I'd love to give it another shot. I have an idea for an elf champion of Nethys that I've been mulling over. He wanted to be a wizard, but it didn't turn out. (Champion multiclass sorcerer).
Which backgrounds do current players have? I'd like to add to the variety if I can.
I'm interested. You want another Commander?
Roger. I have a gnome fighter I'll play, unless we get another person that wants to play a similar niche. Always more level 1 character ideas than there is time to play them.
Hey folks. I'd be happy to jump in. What kind of character do we need/want? I have several that I could bring in. Looks like we are level 1?

Speaking of cute pets, I think I'll make a witch. Still deciding on patron, but I'll have primal or occult spells, probably.
Lorqinor Brightcoral PFS2 wrote: Are these 2 the monsters on the Treasure Vault cover? Yes. A lot of the flavor text in Treasure Vault is written in their voices.
I think I saw interest in a thaumaturge, swashbuckler, and barbarian. I'll probably roll up some kind of spellcaster.
Sounds good. Always willing to play a hero.
Oh, I’d be interested! Any specific rules or guidelines for characters?

Congrats, Charlene! You're an amazing GM. Well-deserved recognition.
Best of luck, Linda!
The Sarzari Library in the Crimson Citadel of the Red Mantis assassins is also supposed to be very comprehensive.
Great, I'll whip a character together today and be ready to start. I'm thinking of making an animist.
I'd be happy to join. Ether as a playtest class or as support in another class. What level are you thinking?
