Niko says, "Hello cousin, how is your training going?"

Matsu Niko gives her cousin a version of their adventures that does not give up any information that both the Emerald Champion and Emperor would not approve of.

Matsu Niko sits down as bade. She looks over the food and comments about how good everything smells.

Matsu Niko wears her best dinner garb and arrives at the appropriate time for someone of her station and rank vis a vis the host.

Niko goes back to her lodging area and gets prepared for dinner. Wearing the appropriate outfit for noshing with the daimyo.

Niko says, "It will be a delight, I must freshen up."

Niko sends a message to the Emerald Champion, Mission complete, awaiting next assignment.

Matsu Niko says, "Well, lets let the matriarchs sort everything out. Cousin, please excuse me, but I need to send a pigeon to the Emerald Champion that our mission was a success."

Niko says, "It all goes back to the founder of my house. Only known as Matsu. She was a glorious warrior and set our House's rules. Matsu sons can maintain the Matsu name if they marry a second or third cousin."

Matsu Niko chuckles and says, "The Lion Champion's mother is a Matsu which means his sisters are Matsus as well. Sons of the Matsu clan revert to their father's original house. Men cannot hold position in our house. Marrying into our house is a great honor. You met my father and he is currently a Matsu by marriage."

Matsu Niko says, "According to our custom, you will be joining the Matsu clan. My cousin's sisters are Matsus and if you marry into the Matsu clan you will take on our name. Our house is gynocentric."

Matsu Niko says, "Could you have my sword made into a No-dachi, I prefer the older style field sword? Most swordsmiths enjoy the challenge. Thank you cousin!"

Matsu Niko nods and sits, "It is good to see you again, cousin. What can we do for you?"

Niko follows the daimyo.

Matsu Niko says, "That shall be an honor, my lord."

Niko nods.

Gm, what happens next?

Take the heads, burn the bodies.

She then tosses the other two into the flames and burns the tents with it.

Matsu Niko nods and tosses the first book in the campfire.

Matsu Niko makes sure all of them are dead and then searches the camp.

Matsu Niko dodges the knife attack by not letting the assailant get close enough to stab her and she attacks the one who tried to stab her, Lion's Roar, 7k4 7d10 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 9, 3, 8, 10) = 40 exploding 1d10 ⇒ 2=34 damage 4k10 4d10 ⇒ (6, 2, 8, 8) = 24+16.5= 40.5 damage reeling her odachi through the assailant's abdomen letting his entrail land in a pile next to him.

Matsu Niko moves to attack the closest one, Lion's Roar, 7k4 7d10 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 4, 9, 2, 9) = 32 = 26 damage 4k10 4d10 ⇒ (7, 1, 9, 3) = 20+16.5= 36.5

Niko says, "Thank you Mirumoto-san, how best shall we tackle this obstacle?"

Niko concurs.

Niko says, "Both... one thought he could match the Topaz Champion and he lost an arm."

Niko smiles as she continues to ride.

Matsu not wanting to hear her captive cry out. Gags him.

Matsu Niko ties one of them to the back of her horse and rides toward the castle.

Matsu Niko nods and says, "That sounds prudent."

Matsu Niko says, "Another one of those imbeciles. Do you know where their hideout is?"

Matsu Niko says, "Well, now, we were getting along splendidly. It is no wonder. I understand the main conspirators would never entrust the details with an eta such as yourself. They are foolish people but not completely ignorant. Why would they entrust the breadth of their plans to you and stumpy over here?"

She then asks, "Who are their targets? and their timelines?"

Matsu Niko says, "Where can they be found?"

Matsu Niko trying not to laugh, says "So your great grandmother was raped by a Lion Champion an extremely long time ago. You do know that Lion Champion's change between the clans."

She then says, "Who are your other accomplices?"

Matsu Niko says calmly, "So, why do you fellas have it in for the Akodo clan and their vassals? Is it a blood feud or did the family do you wrong in some way?"

Matsu Niko resheathes her odachi and sticks her wakizashi in the fire long enough so she can cauterize the stump of an arm of the man who lost his arm to her.

She then bandages it.

Matsu Niko says, "Drop your weapons and we will talk. We know you are an unwitting accomplice. This is mostly a misunderstanding on your part. We can come to a deal that would be reasonable for you and yours, once you talk."

How does the companion react? Does he give up?

Matsu Niko chuckles, "I am Matsu Niko, Topaz Champion, you are mistaken. We want information so only one of you must die, drop your puny knife before I surgically remove your head from your neck."

She looks at the other, and says smoothly, "Go for a weapon and you will lose more than an arm!"

Matsu Niko after hearing their conversation, while holding the scabbard of her Odachi flicks it up for the quick draw, saunters into the cave saying, "I want to earn the title of Lion Clan Champion not get it by default. How about the two of you tell my colleague and I about your sorted murder plots and you can spare yourselves the extra pain of me killing you slowly."

She then moves quietly or as quietly as she can towards the entrance of the cave Stealth(sneaking) 3k3 3d10 ⇒ (3, 6, 2) = 11

Matsu Niko whispers, "I think we should quietly move towards the entrance to see how many people are in there."

Can we see a campfire or hear talking or something?

Niko says, "We will come in to talk."

She dons her armor and mounts her horse and says, "Let's bring him in."

Matsu Niko says, "Shall we not bring this murderer to justice? Let's go to the cave!"
