AKA - The "Not as slick as Brad Turner's But Hopefully Still Useful Sheet"

I just spent about two weeks working on this and finished it literally the same day I discovered Brad's, which is linked to in his post HERE. This was, initially, sort of crushing. :)

However I've rallied and it's my hope that some folks might still find something of use in what I put together. I think it's fairly transparent, largely because I brute-forced my way through much of the formulas (learning as I went), automates the majority of the work, and when in doubt I made room for user-entry boxes that could adjust the final results of a given table.

I'm most proud of the goofy box that checks to see if your Fame is higher, your Infamy is higher, or they're balanced... and then tells you if your reputation status is Famous, Infamous, or Mixed. It's the little things in life.

Enjoy!

Details:

It's got tabs for:

-An overview that collects some of the essential Kingdom information

-Kingdom Details, with all the relevant stats that spells out the Consumption and DCs for Kingdom Checks, as well as Reputation.

-Edicts currently active (so far all of the defaults, the replacements from Ultimate Rulership, Exploration, and Espionage... Diplomacy to come)

-Events (drop-down menus for Current Event, one Continuous Event, and a set of boxes to fill in any ongoing modifiers).

-Settlement Details, which is basically a collection of all the final Stats and modifiers that Buildings and Events cause, along with a table for recording info on your more important settlements. Because I took this approach the Districts total is an estimate based on the total number of Lots currently occupied. I am considering altering this formula slightly to account for a minimum of 1 District a Settlement, though the number of Settlements is a user-entry box.

-Building information, with a drop-down list auto-filling all the major details.

-Terrain Improvements, with the same set-up as Buildings.

-Treasury information, with a collection of the relevant formulas, a spot where you can input your result of the Kingdom Check for Income and (depending on the Taxation Edict in use) the correct formula being applied. The most awkward part of this is the relationship between the amount of BP currently banked on the "Current BP" table and the total of the "Next Upkeep BP" table; basically you use the "Next Upkeep BP" total at the start of the Kingdom Turn, adjust the "Current BP" and "Consumption" tables over the course of the Turn, and then only look at the "Next Upkeep BP" total again at the start of the next Upkeep Phase.

Any feedback on errors or glitches is appreciated, and suggestions for alterations or additions are cool too.

I just banged my head against the issue of making just such a sheet for like two weeks, and the result isn't nearly as badass as this one. Arg. At least I learned something about spreadsheets and the rules, consoling myself that my effort makes my minor rules adjustments slightly easier to implement.

I think, for my sanity, I may have to pretend I never saw your amazing sheet. I say, only mostly kidding. :)

This may seem like a silly question, but does the Expansion Edict replace Improvement or Promotion from the original rules? I'm putting together a rather extensive spreadsheet that's going to incorporate your optional Edicts (after all, I'm using them in my game!) but am not sure how Improvement and Expansion interact.

I am a relative Pathfinder newbie who has only played in a handful of sessions previously, and is a bit tired of playing support characters.

What I'd like in the new game I'm joining, all fresh level 1 characters, is to play a sword master of the duelist or swashbuckler type. I say "type" because there appears to be a PrC or Archetype for just about every descriptive word I'd like I use. The play style I'm aiming for is someone who can stand mostly in the front line during a big skirmish, have some good mobility, and take big boss bad-guys in one-on-one.

I'm sorry if that's not particularly clear but there are so many pre-existing "types" that seem to have laid claim to the niche I was looking at I don't know where to start and don't want to build a character that will get stuck in a dead end or stop being useful.

Any help will be appreciated!
