Background:
Born as one of many children fathered by Elven ambassadors to the city of Korvosa, Mary Anne was raised by her mother’s family, her father likely part of the enclave and would be never known to her. Her time however with her mother would be short as she would pass with a wasting sickness, left in the care of her grandparents whom adored and raised her. It was a difficult life, with many struggles as Mary found herself often at odds with her teachers and often found failing grades in school. It wasn’t until her late teenage years that she would find a taint of magical blood that was in her, capable of casting out a weak spell without prior knowledge of how to perform it.

Through a grant vested by the less prestigious Theumanexus, as Mary was unable to likely pass the strict standards of Acadamae, she would attend a proper college degree in magical aptitude in order to fulfill her potential talents. While the half elf at first disliked her time there, her grandparents that had fostered and cared for her regularly visited and supported her before their passing two and four years after her initial enrollment at the age of seventeen. Renewed, she would push herself to do well even with some struggle as she focused more on the use of magical devices and the use of magics in performing arts. She’d attain her degree through hard work and dedication, managing to get a smaller assistant and study position before her later incident occurred.

Mary would be brought into custody after being framed for stealing money from the school coffers, evidence planted in her rented room in Eastport along the banks of the Jeggare River. The half elf would spend two months in a Korvosan jail before it was found that she was innocent of the crime, but it had tainted the relationship and Mary was forced out of a job. Instead, forced to sell some of her magically laced art, dreaming of the day that she could find the day of the person whom framed her.
