I'm sorry about my inactivity, this game is moving quite quickly (for a PbP, I mean) and I seem to be the one holding it back. I'll try to keep up better.

Marsella hardly paid attention to the combat, opening the door and drifting back into thought.

"Yes. I will go collect it." She smiles to Seren, then disappears.

I believe you'll be rolling all skill checks to get it quietly, right? Marsella sneaks even if she doesn't see anyone.

Marsella has been aching for the sun for as long as she's been in that cell. She basks in the sunset and ignores the guards entirely, going along with Eric's lie.

"Chimney's fine by me." Marsella shrugs. "But we have different strengths." She indicates the other ladies who are turning their noses up at the prospect of climbing.

"I think Zerik had the right idea about this one. A cunning ogre?" Marsella shakes her head, suspicious, then heads into their cell to change into normal clothes though there isn't much to look at. She has a girl-ish shape, unlike the more womanly bard. She stares back at anyone that looks.

"You'll chip your tooth if you try to take a bite out of me, Grumblejack." Marsella states, coming back into full view outside the fortified cell.

"What's the point of killing them? If we have to fall back here at least we could have a hostage. Do you even think, or are you scared of this one?" She indicates Kennie, who is unconscious chained and gagged. However, Marsella doesn't stop anyone from killing him if they try. Instead she slinks over quietly towards the fortified cell the others spoke of, trying to figure out what's in there.

Stealth is +6, and why yes, Marsella does have Cha 8 as well.

"...We could've had uniforms for the two of you." Marsella notes gingerly as Eric plays find-the-liver with Byrn.

The rest of this post assumes Byrn is dealt with by Marsella's turn, and no surprises.

Marsella will strip Kennie's uniform and clap the chains around his hands.

"It seems there's a job opening for one guard. Someone toss me their rags." Marsella will trade the uniform for rags, which she will use to gag Kennie.

To clarify, I didn't attack from Prone in the surprise round. Stood up, then queued actions for Round 1.

Marsella plans to spare him if possible (for the water), also so we can steal his clothes (without blood getting on them) and dress up Zerik or Eric in them.

Surprise round will be standing up, any damage done to Kennie will be nonlethal as Marsella reciprocates his kindness. The +2 to hit below assumes flanks with Zerik, subtract it if non-applicable

After drinking as much as she can, Marsella sighs in relief and stands up.

If Kennie is Prone:

Marsella's hand flashes as it chops at Kennie's head. On contact, her hand turns brown and knotted for just a moment.
Chop: To Hit: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 2 = 25
Chop: Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

If Kennie is standing:

As Marsella stands, she steps forward into Kennie and tries to hook her leg around his, elbowing him harshly as she does.
Flurry of Maneuvers, first the trip to give him an AC penalty if it succeeds
Trip Maneuver: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 2 = 11
Elbow: To Hit: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 = 19

If Kennie is tripped, he provokes a Vicious Stomp

"Thanks for the drink" She wipes her mouth with the back of her hand, whatever moisture remained there appears to be quickly absorbed.
"I'm feeling better already!"

First things first, Marsella has a good long drink of water. Some color immediately returns to her skin tone as she gulps it down.

Will that eat up my surprise round, or do we jump into action after that. Also, you say Kennie is kneeling to pour the water, does that make him (and thus us) prone?

After being unshackled Marsella clenches and unclenches her fists, and something within her arms too large to be veins throbs in response, then fades from sight.

"You think he's really coming back with water?" It takes considerable force of will for Marsella to sit still and pretend to be chained.

A shadow of a smile creeps onto Marsella's face.

"Did you eat the entire pie yourself?" She whispers in hushed admonition to Eric.

You know, because in stories prisoners always receive their aid in a pie? It sounded better in my head. Another cough, this time forced to break the silence of her own bad joke.

Marsella shakes her head and begins "Mars- but then bites her tongue.

"I'm not sure...but I feel stronger. If I can just...get through this." She whispers, then she's wracked with coughs, spitting out a clump of blood.

Perhaps make it more parallel to the brother class (as wizard is to sorc, as cleric is to oracle). The druidic sorc loses out on saves, BAB, and armor in comparison to the druid, in exchange for a bloodline.

Though this might be more of an archetype than a separate class, in its current iteration.

Marsella follows Zerik's gaze to Sozia, and leans back, resting her head against the wall she shares with her.
She closes her eyes, and her expression becomes blank, though it's difficult to tell if he's concentrating or fantasizing about water.

Inside this cell they keep forsaken, but in that fortified cell it could be anything! It could even be forsaken!

Anyone else concerned by Aku's level up? I'm a little concerned.

Picked the trait for Marsella, "Extremely Fashionable" with class skill bluff. Though Marsella may have been a wallflower (I'm gonna pun until I exhaust all possible wells or I get sent to Brandescar IRL), she still attended the lavish balls. When it proved difficult to teach her charms, her parents made sure that she could at least lie like a proper noble.

Marsella regards the strange elf suspiciously, but then seems to decide that things couldn't possibly get worse for her the knowing. If you inspect her face, you can see that there are no tears, the sweat seems to stick to where it is rather than running down, and the blood she coughs comes out nearly dry. She whispers over the song of the other prisoner.

"It hasn't finished yet." she cringes but continues, "It's taking the water from my blood. I can feel it."

A thin young woman, slightly on the tall side sits in the corner of her cell, and if not for the brand on her arm, she might look out of place.

She was coughing when they brought her in, and she's still coughing now. Every few hours or so, she coughs up blood. Her skin has taken a sickly pallor, and her thick brown hair is a matted mess. Perspiration covers her body, but somehow she smells like roses...

"Please...bring me water. Let me see the sun again." She pleads to the guards.

Everything except the non-campaign trait. Speaking of that, given the Marsella's witchcraft being the heartseed, could I get Nature as class instead of either Arcana or Planes? It's fine if not.

Edit: I'm interested in seeing your homebrew druid-sorcerer class.

That's a great kindness of you, but it would take me a while to create a new archetype I would be proud of (and a while longer to undergo peer review and be considered balanced), in the interest of time I think I'll go with the plant-flavored Monk and be happy with it :)

I'll have a sheet ready tonight.

With the above rolls:
17 Str, 14 Dex, 13 Con, 9 Int, 18 Wis (Focus), 8 Cha (Foible).

Edit: I'm intrigued by a potential Verdant Disciple, though the only way I could qualify for that would be a Verdant/Empyreal crossblooded dip (since even if I Foible the Int, Cha will still be a 9). Unless the prerequisite was flipped to spontaneous lvl1 divine spells, in which case I could dip Inquis and get in. Since it'd be a PrC we can think/talk about it later.

Edit2: Also hollering at the other noblewomen. Our characters have probably met at balls before Brandescar Prison.
