Really sorry. Been very busy with work lately that I forgot about our table. Adowyn continues to explore the Scorched Ruins and encounters some Jistkan Runes. Second Law: 1d6 ⇒ 2 Jistkan Runes DC 10 Divine: 1d8 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (7) + (2) + 3 = 12 Success. Second Law doesn't proc. Examining Blessing of the Ancients on top of deck. Jistkan Runes isplayed next to location. Examining top 3 cards = Catching Cape, Bonecrusher Hunter, Corridor Dart Trap. Bonecrusher Hunter triggers. Adowyn aims her bow towards the monster and fires. Yeah, but we started pre Season 9 and overlapped to Season 9. Your logsheets will be dated on our first day of playing the mod, which would be June 24. We usually do this so that it prevents players from playing games simultaneously with the same character and keep them committed to playing until the mod ends.

Zar's ball of flame strikes true as the troll screams in anguish. The troll goes down and the Chauntean sisters rush towards you to aid those injured. Ahghairon is able to control the spread of the flames and is not a threat to Nimoar's Hold anymore as black tentacles emerges from the surface of the nearby waters and splashes over the remaining flames and quenching them. After a few moments, smoke and ash surround you and there is peace. Ahghairon thanks you and removes a javelin stuck at the back side of the troll. Here, I think you should take this. Botting Farideh Farideh stands up and looks at the troll in the eyes as she tries to stab it with her dagger. The spell of protection disappears from Farideh. Dagger: 1d20 + 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + (4) + 4 = 12
The troll manages to evade the stab, but what it doesn't notice is the glow of the dragonborn's insides as she bursts out another flame breath towards the troll. Flame Breath: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 4) = 9
It fails to get out of the way. You see burnt flesh all over the troll. But it still stands. It tries to make a desperate swipe at the dragonborn. Claws: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
It hits, and the dragonborn once again falls. ROUND 4. Bless is up.

Sanctum is able to stabilize Farideh's wounds. GM:
GM Stuff: 1d20 ⇒ 8 As Farideh regains her senses, she and Ahghairon are encircled by a magical spell of protection. From behind the troll, two hooded figures emerge, clearly the source of the protection spells. Farideh and Ahghairon are under the effect of a Sanctuary spell. ROUND 4. Farideh still has inspiration

The flame breath is a bonus action and it needs a saving throw from the troll, so no need to make an attack roll. You still have a standard action so you can attack and flame breath on your turn. I'll just take the first attempt and adjust the needed rolls. I'll just say you dodged this turn. Even with divine guidance, Zar's flames is not able to hit its mark. However, Ilmater's morningstar and Farideh's flames both hit as the troll shrieks in pain. Meanwhile, the flame continues to spread towards Nimoar's hold. You all see Ahghairon having a tough time with the wards. The troll continues its assault at Farideh. Claws: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11 Even with the dragonborn dodging, the troll takes a chunk out of Farideh's flesh and she goes down, fresh blood oozing out of her shoulders. ROUND 3. Bless active. Farideh still has inspiration.

The troll nimbly moves out of the way but the flame still nicks parts of its flesh. The troll screams as the wounds stop regenerating. It moves to take a swipe at the dragonborn. Claws vs Farideh: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
The troll is able to claw bits of flesh from the dragonborn. The fire continues to spread towards Nimoar Hold as Ahghairon is having difficulty calibrating the wards. ROUND 2. Bless active. You all have inspiration.

The arrow goes wide and the troll continues his advance towards the party. You all notice that the troll's wounds start to heal. It has an arm missing but a new arm is starting to grow from the stump. ROUND 1. Sanctum's turn. Everyone still has their inspiration.

You meet up with Ahghairon on a nearby peak that is 250 feet long and 10 feet wide which steeply drops to either side. The sun is high overhead but is blocked by thick clouds of black smoke. Hot and dry wind blasts through this area. "It'll take some time and a lot of concentration to calibrate these wards so don't distract me. Well, let's start the ritual, shall we?" With a wave of his hands, one of the wards start to vibrate and glow with arcane energy. As he chants his incantation, a loud shriek can be heard from the base of the peak. Bodies of soldiers are being thrown in every direction as a troll attacks them. It sees your group and moves toward you. Roll Initiative! I'll set up the map later on after work.

Let me roll for the second, you might get a nat20. Religion: 1d20 ⇒ 2Nope! Farideh throws the offering and says the prayer but nothing happens. You hear the waves crash against the shore and the sounds of seagulls. But nothing significant happens as the artworks sink to the bottom of the sea. "Yeah. Tough one to please, she is," says the merman. "But a deal's a deal. Let me show you how to get that ward you're looking for." He brings you to one secluded spot at the beach and you immediately notice that there are a lot of wards just scattered on the sand. "Kinda tricky to find the real one. But there's a secret to it. You there with the mask, stand right over here. The dragonborn stand on that end there. And finally, you stand right there. That's right. Now face each other when I tell you to." He places you all equidistant to each other as if forming a triangle. As you face each other, the illusion fades and you see a single ward materialize from the center of your formation etched with Halastar's rune.
