JAVELIN OF LIGHTNING

This javelin is a magic weapon. When you hurl it and speak its command word, it transforms into a bolt of lightning, forming a line 5 feet wide that extends out
from you to a target within 120 feet. Each creature in the line excluding you and the target must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 lightning damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The lightning bolt turns back into a javelin when it reaches the target. Make a ranged weapon attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes damage from the javelin plus 4d6 lightning damage. The javelin's property can't be used again until the next dawn. In the meantime, the javelin can still be used as a magic weapon. This item is found on Magic Item Table F in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

Marjim, since Season 9 has started, we should be using the new rules for AL.

Essentially, it would break down like this:

PCs gain a level upon completing an adventure.

We are back to a single PC claiming the magic item, but you have a limit of permanent magic items based on tier.
- Tier 1: 1
- Tier 2: 3
- Tier 3: 6
- Tier 4: 10

Mundane Treasure is basically lost, but trinkets and spellbooks can be distributed among PCs.

Gold can be sprinkled throughout, but is generally governed by tier as well.
- Tier 1: 20 gp (minimum 10 gp) per hour run. For PbP, I would say to use the suggested length.
- Tier 2: 30 gp (min 15 gp) per hour run.
- Tier 3: 200 gp (min 100 gp) per hour run.
- Tier 4: 750 gp (min 375 gp) per hour run.

Yeah, but we started pre Season 9 and overlapped to Season 9. Your logsheets will be dated on our first day of playing the mod, which would be June 24. We usually do this so that it prevents players from playing games simultaneously with the same character and keep them committed to playing until the mod ends.

Thank you, guys! It was fun and I learned a lot from this group. For now, I won't temporarily be playing PBP for like a month to prepare for my board exam then after that, maybe a live D&D session would be great. I mean it's been years since I had one.
