What are your chars motives?

Expunge the influences of chaos. Her fear of chaos' ubiquitousness drives her to seek it out, expose it and destroy it...all in Sigmar's name

What gods does he/she worship?

Sigmar. She respects the other gods in the pantheon.

What does he/she think about Chaos/Skaven?

Chaos is a stain that needs to be removed...with prejudice. Skaven...a legend, fairy tale to scare children, but if they're
real, they burn as well.

What are your attitudes towards elfs and dwarfs?

Never met an elf. Don't really want to ,according to the priests they gave men magic, and magic in the hands of men can be bad.
Dwarfs are ok, they helped Sigmar and more recently the Empire , didn't they?

What is your attitude towards magic?

Sigmar's miracles outshine wizardry anyday. Witches and warlocks should burn. Wizards working for the Empire...should be
scrutinized for corruption

Possible adversary in magister Knowlton, a tutor hired by von Shannett to teach Marieke and her brother .
He grew enamoured with Marieke and asked her father for her hand in marriage. He refused, he saw that she
did not reciprocate Knowlton's romantic feeling; Knowlton was not impressed.

Not so much, family moved around quite frequently. Family knick knacks she took from last home mean a great deal to her.Possesses a silver pendant in the shape of Sigmar's Comet, belonged to her father's father, prizes it greatly.

Where was your character born, spend his youth etc.

Born in Grunberg. Father fought with Empire against Chaos horde in the north. Retired with pension, married Marieke's mother.
Family moved a lot as father's wanderlust was unshakable. Marieke never really came to find any place to call home, until the
last homestead. Spent her life growing up helping her Mother care for father and little brother Peiter.

Appearance:

Marieke is a slight, wiry and usually quite dirty girl . Only 17, her hair is cut short, obviously hacked off
with one of her daggers. She wears a homespun tunic , beneath a under maintained mail shirt. Tucked into an old
belt is a woodsman's axe, red with rust....or is that dried blood?

Personality:

Marieke's eyes are constantly moving, searching for signs of corruption and chaos, her thought are filled with
alarm and fear. Most people are uncomfortable talking to her, her manner is abrupt and ill mannered. But she
is tolerated buy most as they see the light of the true believer and her language is peppered with admonitions
to many gods but mostly Sigmar.

Background:

Marieke's father was small and wiry like her. He had been employed as a woodsman by a local noble. A small hut
on a plot of land was provided, and this was home to Marieke and her family, mother, father and little brother
Peiter.

One night the small homestead was attacked by a band of beastmen, the entire family captured and taken deep
into the forest. One by one, Marieke watched as the evil chaos-beasts tortured and killed her loved ones. As she
watched her family killed, the sermons of the priests of Sigmar entreating the faithful to watch for and beware the
presence of chaos drifted through her memories. It was these words that rang in her head when she finally succumbed
to the horror and fell into unconsciousness.

She awoke and was surprised to actually be alive. By the light of the moon, she looked upon the
fallen, desecrated bodies of her family...but of the beastmen there was not sign. For some reason the had left her.

Working to free herself from the bonds, she ultimately succeeded and her mind becoming numb, but for the sonorous
sermons repeating in her head, dragged her family back to her home.

As if in a dream, she dug three graves then entered the house. Moving slowly she gathered up what possessions she could,
gathering up her father's mail shirt from when he was a militia-man, his axe and a couple of momentos; and the family's
savings from the stone in the fireplace. Standing in front of her home, not remembering fully how she got there, her eyes
seeing a beastman or chaos infested man hiding in every shadow, a single tear falling down her cheek, Marieke said softly
"Great Sigmar, this poor vessel thanks you. I have no one but you now, my lord. And I will do your will. No taint of chaos
will escape my vengeance, in your holy name I swear it!"

Her eyes bright with fervour Marieke turned her back on her home and left to find her destiny.
