AC 18/12/16 HP 19/19 F+4 R+2 W+0 Init+2 Per+6 ![]() Hearing the chaos of battle from the caravan ahead, Marduzi spurs Smoke forward to see what has attacked. I've really got to read up on those rules :) Sounds like we just need the one caravan roll for attack rather than carrying out individual combat. ![]()

AC 18/12/16 HP 19/19 F+4 R+2 W+0 Init+2 Per+6 ![]() Marduzi seems to be in particularly good spirits as the caravan heads out, happy to be on the road again. Together with Smoke, he assumes a familiar role of an outrider for the caravan, ranging ahead and occasionally to the sides and back to watch for any dangers approaching.

He could be a Driver, but it would be a little off taking the cavalier off his mount. Guard would work too. I can add a rank to Knowledge (Geography) later if Rommin doesn't take the Guide role. I'll get the current gold up tomorrow. ![]()

We fought a number of large spiders near the entrance and something like giant clear bladders in the water where we found the crystals. Here." he points to the map. My skill lies in helping us prepare for a journey. There were always others in the caravan better suited to the finer points of negotiation." I think we'd better set you to working on that ballad with Kelistra so you don't give the map to the Glassworks out of sentimental pity for the lives lost there when the goblins came marauding a few years ago." When he sees Kelistra he grins, "I think Malcolm is so smitten he has forgotten all of his sense. When you need a break from that ballad mind coming with me to the Glassworks to see what we can get for the crystals and information about where to find them. I'm sure we could use a little more gold to help prepare for this journey." ![]()

Assuming no last minute claims on any of those items, that makes it 3943 gp and 4 sp for a share of 438 gp and 1 sp each with 5 sp left over :) That assumes I counted right and there are nine of us :) So, with that in mind and the claims (other than the sword) counted:
Still to be Role Played

AC 18/12/16 HP 19/19 F+4 R+2 W+0 Init+2 Per+6 ![]() Rommin - check out Will's post #1182. She turned over everything to us except for the letter. Actually, Marduzi will help out with the tasks in town and then go hunting if time permits before Sandru's return, so... "So Malcolm, want to visit Savah and see if we can get that sword repaired? Then I think we should see about visiting the Glassworks again." ![]()

AC 18/12/16 HP 19/19 F+4 R+2 W+0 Init+2 Per+6 ![]() Well, no reason to sell/trade the fan then. We can always buy some paper and make a map or even just give them instructions. I think one of the things we'll need to do in town is get the sword appraised and fixed. Then we'll know what we have with that. BTW, has anyone detected magic on the broken sword. Marduzi is happy to help with some of these in town errands before helping with the hunting. He's experienced with caravaning so it would make sense for him as a character to help prepare. I'm not sure he's the best candidate for dealing with the Glassworks since he isn't very intelligent, but he could certainly draw up a map given his talent at Survival. The sword repair is probably up his alley and he'll definitely be looking at helping with some of the provisioning for the journey once we know the balance of cash (though much of that will probably await Sandru too). ![]()

AC 18/12/16 HP 19/19 F+4 R+2 W+0 Init+2 Per+6 ![]() We're going to need to get a few items counted and/or appraised
I would suggest that the potions of healing and restoration be treated as group consumables. One method we've used with another PbP group is to total up the "sell" value of all of the items and determine a "share" value for each character. Then people claim items based on that price (the "sell" value). We can roll to break any items claimed by multiple characters. That money is deducted from your share. If you don't have enough, you go negative for a little while until we have a chance to balance it out. We can also just stick with claiming items and try to balance it out in character (and if necessary OOC) if anyone seems to be getting too far ahead. BTW, if we go this method, I would make sure we deduct accordingly for some of the items claimed earlier like the cloak Marduzi has. ![]()

He listens, intent on Ameiko's words, as she translates the message from her grandfather. From the table where Marduzi sits, he can see Koya also listening and as Ameiko finishes, Niska's words come back to him and answer Malcolm's question. I'm glad I was able to help the Sheriff with the goblins, because it looks like that journey is about to begin. "It's Brinewall isn't it Ameiko? It sounds a little familiar, but I'm afraid I can't place it. Definitely not on the Riddleport to Korvosa route." ![]()

On the table before him is a huge sack which he raises and then lets fall with the "ching" and "chunk" that only hundreds of coins could make. If you all want to play out the scene with the sheriff, we can just retcon that last bit. I think we're probably all ready to move on with Ameiko. ![]()

AC 18/12/16 HP 19/19 F+4 R+2 W+0 Init+2 Per+6 ![]() It would make sense to me for it to have been a "per goblin" reward too, but both Jörmungandr and Will appear to be treating it as "per ear." That's why I thought I would check. 1. Reward was originally posted "per ear"
Jörmungandr wrote: The board has an open message on it indicating that Sandpoint has reinstated its bounty of ten gold pieces for each relatively fresh goblin ear and a bonus of three hundred gold pieces for the individual or group that can kill the goblin's leader and bring proof of his demise to the sheriff. 2. Will totaled our ears from the first fight and gave us 9 ears. We fought four and there was a fifth already dead from the sinspawn (presumably the source of the missing ear although the little buggers have been known to lose them on their own). ![]()

Gold
Items to Sell
Unclaimed items that we need to determine how Ameiko wants to handle
I believe the only "claimed" item that has any reasonable connection to Ameiko is the fan and I think while Kelistra expressed disappointment at it being ruined by the map, I think one of the rest of us foisted it on her so its really up to her whether she wants to keep it in the overall found items, keep it herself or ask Ameiko. ![]()

There is a strong enough call to duty surrounding the contents of this chest that it causes a skeleton to rise from the dead and guard it for years until it was defeated in an honorable battle and you want to blame our reluctance to use it on guys fawning over Ameiko? I'll tell you what. Here's a compromise. First, I'll take Jordan on Smoke. If Smoke finds the load too heavy, I'll walk. Second, we get one of those potions out and Jordan carries it. If we face a life or death situation on the way back to town, he can drink it. I'm sure our duty is to get the chest back to Ameiko and any associated spirits will understand if we use the items to make sure that happens. Sound good?" While waiting, Marduzi dismounts and helps Jordan up onto Smoke, then checks the horse for the load given that it would now be carrying two chests, Jordan and possibly Marduzi. If this is too much weight or too awkward, Marduzi remains dismounted and leads Smoke by the reins. GM Will: Yes, if you don't mind and it sounds like you don't, let's say its strapped to the chest once we figure out what to do about the potions. ![]()
