Halvor is going Monk this level and will be ditching his armor. If I hadn't made that clear I was heading that way! ;) The chain shirt is free to anyone who would like it.

Hmm, I will accept your offer. Thank you.

Some of the items (toward the end) are from the chest (and Tsutami).
10 gp for each relative fresh goblin ear
- Nine ears from fight on road before sinspawn
- First hut, 3 goblins
- Firework shooting goblin
- 2 goblins in watch tower
- 2 goblins by gate
- 6 goblins (I think) in long thin hut
- 2 goblins on rooftop
- Chief and his 2 advisors
- Rommin counted 19 ears, but I count 19 goblin in village plus 9 ears from goblins on road. Not sure if we get one ear per goblin or two?
300 gp for proof of the goblin chief's demise
Cloak of resistance from Walthus (Marduzi)
Finely crafted longbow - masterwork longbow (Rommin)
Six magical arrows - +1 animal bane arrows (Rommin - 3, Ruhk - 3)
A vial of murky red liquid - two doses of potion of cure light wounds (Marduzi)
A tarnished silver ring - ring of protection +1 (Malcolm)
A scroll - fire breath and snapdragon fireworks (Jordan)
A rat's skull
A small cloth bag full of live maggots
An ornate chest, beautiful under a layer of filth (crimson and black lacquer, and delicate etchings of cranes and frogs) - worth 150 gp
A bundle containing 12 gold pieces
2 garnets - worth 25 gp each
A brass brooch stamped with the mark of a knight's shield - worth 75 gp (Ruhk)
Six masterwork shuriken
329 sp and 112 gp in loose coins
Paired long hairpins with a red pearl at one end worth 150 gp each
A gold-and-ivory fan depicting a gecko walking amid cherry blossoms (with map scrawled on back) - worth 50 gp (Kelistra)
Rock crystals from amoeba cavern
Skeleton's armor made from overlapping scales and lacquered in intricate red and black patterns (chainmail armor)
Skeleton's short single edged sword, slightly curved with broken hilt
Large jade and cherry wood chest
a short sword - +1 short sword
a matched dagger in fine sheaths - +1 dagger
3 potions of cure light wounds
2 potions of cure moderate wounds
2 potions of lesser restoration
a wand of mage armor (12 charges) (Jordan)
a wand of magic weapon (8 charges) (Kelistra)
a ring of climbing
a dozen tubes of colored paper with fuses - fireworks?
several bags of coins
a small heavy wooden box
Marduzi Lovarya
Here's a little further breakdown on things. Probably need to get clarification on a few of them:
Goblin Ears
We can probably just resolve this when we get to the sheriff, but I think we need to determine if the bounty is per ear or per goblin and whether all of the goblins in the village actually had two ears if it is per ear.
Gold
I think once we resolve the rest of the items and the ears, we can come up with a game plan for distributing gold.
A bundle containing 12 gold pieces
329 sp and 112 gp in loose coins
Items to Sell
2 garnets - worth 25 gp each
Rock crystals from amoeba cavern
Unclaimed items that we need to determine how Ameiko wants to handle
The ornate chest from the goblin village
Six masterwork shuriken
Paired long hairpins with a red pearl at one end worth 150 gp each
Skeleton's armor made from overlapping scales and lacquered in intricate red and black patterns (chainmail armor)
Skeleton's short single edged sword, slightly curved with broken hilt
Large jade and cherry wood chest
a short sword - +1 short sword
a matched dagger in fine sheaths - +1 dagger
3 potions of cure light wounds
2 potions of cure moderate wounds
2 potions of lesser restoration
a wand of mage armor (12 charges) (Jordan)
a wand of magic weapon (8 charges) (Kelistra)
a ring of climbing
a dozen tubes of colored paper with fuses - fireworks?
several bags of coins
a small heavy wooden box
I believe the only "claimed" item that has any reasonable connection to Ameiko is the fan and I think while Kelistra expressed disappointment at it being ruined by the map, I think one of the rest of us foisted it on her so its really up to her whether she wants to keep it in the overall found items, keep it herself or ask Ameiko.

I'm pretty sure it it per goblin otherwise they would be paying twice for at least some goblins.
Jordan, here are the spells that I think you can learn, including the spells from leveling.
- charm person
- chill touch
- comprehend languages
- enlarge person
- identify
- mage armor
- ray of enfeeblement
- Remove Fear
- sleep
- web bolt

It would make sense to me for it to have been a "per goblin" reward too, but both Jörmungandr and Will appear to be treating it as "per ear." That's why I thought I would check.
1. Reward was originally posted "per ear"
The board has an open message on it indicating that Sandpoint has reinstated its bounty of ten gold pieces for each relatively fresh goblin ear and a bonus of three hundred gold pieces for the individual or group that can kill the goblin's leader and bring proof of his demise to the sheriff.
2. Will totaled our ears from the first fight and gave us 9 ears. We fought four and there was a fifth already dead from the sinspawn (presumably the source of the missing ear although the little buggers have been known to lose them on their own).
Malcolm Cavendish
Nothing from the list interests me in particular, except of course the Ring of Protection that I already possess. I would just need to know my share in Gold after dividing and selling the remaining loot.
Rommin Hawkridge
Rommin's profile is updated.
Summary of changes:
Add 1 level in Fighter (archer).
Add BAB +1, Fort +1.
Add Bonus Feat: Deadly Aim.
Add Hawkeye Class Feature.
Add Skill points, +4: Swim, Perception, Survival, Stealth.
Add hit points: +8 (6 rolled, 1 Con bonus, 1 favored class).
Equipment changes pending...
Regarding recovered equipment, Rommin would want to keep the three animal bane arrows he carries, and the other three as well if Ruhk doesn't care to keep them. The masterwork longbow can be included in the items to be sold off; I'm looking at getting a darkwood bow for Rommin.

Hi everyone, I'm happy to see all the characters developing. I'm writing up the next post today, which will clarify a couple of questions above.
In the meantime, I have some exciting developments of my own to share. Embiggen the product image if you're not clear why I'm excited.
Halvor Lumbar
Summary of changes:
Add 1 level in Monk (Master of Many Styles/Monk of the Lotus)
Add Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +2.
Add Bonus Feats: Unarmed Strike, Touch of Serenity, Snake Style
Add Skill points +5 with FC: Acrobatics, Perception, Sense Motive (2), Knowledge (religion).
Add hit points: +6 (5 Minimum, 1 Con bonus).
Monk Ability Gained: Fuse Style
Removed armor and gave to Iralynash
Unarmed Strike Damage to 1d6
I was wondering if I could swap out the skilled standard Aasimar racial trait (+2 to perception and Diplomacy) with the alternate racial trait Truespeaker There are some aasimars whose language transcends all boundaries. They gain a +2 bonus on Linguistics and Sense Motive checks, and they learn two languages each time they gain a rank in Linguistics.
When we started they didn't have the book out yet and I would have been interested in that. If not, no big deal

Adding my congrats, thinking of publishing some homebrews sometime, but understand the work going into it.
Intrigued with adding web bolt Dax. Maybe we can justify knowing a typically drow spell. Maybe the brush with spiders is ample justification.
Jordan levels a second level in wizard. Have added all but two extra level 1 spells.

We're going to need to get a few items counted and/or appraised
Plus we add 1000 gp from the Sheriff for the goblins
Rock crystals from amoeba caver - need to determine what they're worth
The ornate chest from the goblin village - need to appraise
Six masterwork shuriken - 50 of them are worth 310 gp, so 6 are worth about 37 gp, but only sell for 18 gp
Skeleton's armor = chainmail = 150 gp = sells for 75 gp
Skeleton's sword still needs to be appraised (I think), did that detect as magic?
Large jade and cherry wood chest needs to be appraised
+1 short sword = 2310 gp = sells for 1155 gp
+1 dagger = 2302 gp = sells for 1151 gp
wand of mage armor = 180 gp = sells for 90 gp
wand of magic weapon = 120 gp = sells for 60 gp
ring of climbing = 2500 gp = sells for 1250 gp
fireworks = depends what type they are: Desnan candle (5 gp each), Paper candle (1 gp each), skyrocket (50 gp each), starfountain (500 gp each). I suspect we have Desnan candles, but I'm not sure
Need to count the bags of coins
Need to see what is in the heavy wooden box
I would suggest that the potions of healing and restoration be treated as group consumables.
One method we've used with another PbP group is to total up the "sell" value of all of the items and determine a "share" value for each character. Then people claim items based on that price (the "sell" value). We can roll to break any items claimed by multiple characters. That money is deducted from your share. If you don't have enough, you go negative for a little while until we have a chance to balance it out.
We can also just stick with claiming items and try to balance it out in character (and if necessary OOC) if anyone seems to be getting too far ahead.
BTW, if we go this method, I would make sure we deduct accordingly for some of the items claimed earlier like the cloak Marduzi has.
Marduzi Lovarya
Well, no reason to sell/trade the fan then. We can always buy some paper and make a map or even just give them instructions.
I think one of the things we'll need to do in town is get the sword appraised and fixed. Then we'll know what we have with that. BTW, has anyone detected magic on the broken sword.
Marduzi is happy to help with some of these in town errands before helping with the hunting. He's experienced with caravaning so it would make sense for him as a character to help prepare. I'm not sure he's the best candidate for dealing with the Glassworks since he isn't very intelligent, but he could certainly draw up a map given his talent at Survival.
The sword repair is probably up his alley and he'll definitely be looking at helping with some of the provisioning for the journey once we know the balance of cash (though much of that will probably await Sandru too).
Will Cooper RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16
@Halvor - that character adjustment is fine, no problem.
@Malcolm - when repaired, Tsutami's blade will be a +1 bastard sword with some unique powers that I'll describe in character. Technically it's more like a katana, but as they're both hand-and-a-half exotic weapons I want to westernise the eastern-style weapon.
What questions have I missed?
Malcolm Cavendish
@GM Will: That is outstanding...I will definitely be forcing the repair angle within Sandpoint and elsewhere while Marduzi hunts. I would also suggest that I take up the mantle of personal guardian to Ameiko during our travels. I would like to approach her before the trip once the sword is repaired, if possible, and formally make that request while also guaging our relationship status with a check based upon the Player's Guide rules. I believe that is a Charisma check? Also, did my relationship score increase from 6 to 7 when I leveled?
Will Cooper RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16
@Marduzi:
You found 4 desnan candles and 2 skyrockets.
The bag of coins holds 153 gp and 11 sp.
The heavy chest holds nothing but dust. On close inspection, this proves to be two applications of dust of weighty burdens.
@Malcolm: You get to choose who you gain a relationship point with when you level up; yes you can certainly choose Ameiko. So that would make it 7, perhaps more when Kelistra finishes composing your 'gift'.
Malcolm Cavendish
Malcolm wants the sword as well, considering it is a Bastard Sword, and that is his weapon of choice. Not to mention the desire to protect the heir of her family with it.
Shall we roll for it GM Will?
Marduzi Lovarya
Items that are available to be claimed
- Desnan Candles (4) = would sell for 10 gp total
- Dust of Weighty Burdens = would sell for 1800 gp for 10 applications or 180 each and we have two so would sell for 360 gp
- Skyrockets (2) = would sell for 50 gp total
Items with Multiple Claims
- Tsutami's Sword: Azmythe, Malcolm
- I would suggest you guys try to work this out in character and if you're unsuccessful that you roll for it OOC.
Items Claimed
- Brass brooch stamped with the mark of a knight's shield - worth 75 gp (Ruhk, 75 gp)
- Cloak of Resistance: Marduzi (500 gp)
- Ring of Climbing: Iralynash (1250 gp)
- Ring of Protection +1: Malcolm (1000 gp)
- Paired long hairpins with a red pearl at one end: Ruhk? (300 gp)
- A gold-and-ivory fan depicting a gecko walking amid cherry blossoms (with map scrawled on back): Azymythe (50 gp)
Consumables Distributed
- +1 animal bane arrows (3): Ruhk
- +1 animal bane arrows (3): Rommin
- Potion of CLW (2 doses in single bottle): Marduzi
- Scroll of fire breath and snapdragon fireworks: Jordan
- Wand of mage armor (12 charges): Jordan
- Wand of magic weapon (8 charges): Kelistra
Note: I rolled the wands and arrows into the consumables. I think the magic weapon definitely should be counted that way since Kelistra is likely to use it on the rest of us. Mage armor and arrows are more arguable, but I'm leaning consumable.
Consumables to Distribute
- Potions of CLW (3)
- Potions of CMW (2)
- Potions of lesser restoration (2)
Total Gold So Far
- 1000 gp (goblins)
- A bundle containing 12 gold pieces
- 329 sp and 112 gp in loose coins
- 2 garnets - worth 25 gp each
- An ornate chest, beautiful under a layer of filth (crimson and black lacquer, and delicate etchings of cranes and frogs) - worth 150 gp
- Masterwork Longbow (187 gp, 5 sp)
- Masterwork Shuriken (6) - 50 of them are worth 310 gp, so 6 are worth about 37 gp, but only sell for 18 gp
- Skeleton's armor = chainmail = 150 gp = sells for 75 gp
- +1 short sword = 2310 gp = sells for 1155 gp
- +1 dagger = 2302 gp = sells for 1151 gp
Assuming no last minute claims on any of those items, that makes it 3943 gp and 4 sp for a share of 438 gp and 1 sp each with 5 sp left over :) That assumes I counted right and there are nine of us :)
So, with that in mind and the claims (other than the sword) counted:
Azmythe (+388 gp)
Halvor (+438 gp)
Iralynash (-812 gp)
Jordan (+438 gp)
Kelistra (+438 gp)
Malcolm (-562 gp)
Marduzi (-62 gp)
Rommin (+438 gp)
Ruhk (+63 gp)
Still to be Role Played
- Rock crystals from amoeba cave - visit Glassworks
- Large jade and cherry wood chest from cave - need to be appraise
Kelistra Drav
A couple points for the OOC thread:
Kelistra will claim the magic short sword since nobody else is using it. I think it's better to keep a magic weapon in the party than sell it off. No telling if we'll find magic loot again. I needed to verify that Keli's Weapons Finesse would apply to a short sword before speaking up (it does.)
I'm an accountant, not a poet. Thus, I won't actually be writing the Ballad of Malcolm's Duel. Will, how do you want to handle this? Perhaps a Perform roll or two?
Iralynash
Hi DM Will.
What is the availability of masterwork weapons, elixirs and potions on Sandpoint? I would like to shop for some.
Masterwork Composite Longbow of STR14
Masterwork Lucerne Hammer
Elixir of vision
