My pawn was sorely challenged, but he has survived! Haha! Just as I, myself, was sorely challenged by that great dragon of chaos, Tiamat, but won victory over her in the end! Let us drink a toast of soma to our tough little soldiers, aye?

With a wave of his bronze hand, Marduk summons a round of six chalices filled with soma, or ambrosia, the divine drink of gods. Thor transmogrifies his soma into Asgardian mead, and the six deities raise their chalices in a toast to their mortal pawns, drinking to their good fortune!

This grants each mortal champion the Boon of the Divine Toast, which can be used one time only to reroll a failed saving throw with a +4 divine bonus, or reroll an attack roll or skill check with a +4 divine bonus on the roll! Note this on your character sheet so it isn't forgotten.

Marduk, Lord of Law and god of Babylon, who captured Tiamat in his magic net, stands in a chariot drawn by giant griffons.

The Gameboard has been set, my fellow deities! A fine board it is! The central Courtyard shall be No Man's Land, neutral ground, where our chosen champions shall awaken in fine palaces stocked with all of their mortal requirements! They shall soon learn the true nature of this new realm they shall find themselves in...

Turning to Thor, Marduk's eyes narrow and his mouth curves in a smirk.

I see that you have already chosen and placed a mortal pawn, Son of Odin! How hasty of you.
