Marcusic, the Constable's page

Having cleare the Constable's Príosún of all immediate threats, the trio converge upon the first floor and prepare to leave the building through the main doors. As they descend the steps from the front porch a small patrol of guards from Haemil enter the abandoned square and head for the Príosún, nodding at the adventurers as they pass. They clamor into the building and shut the doors behind themselves.

Toraim leads the way back to the bridge, stopping only to update the Constable of the clearing of his predecessor's base of operations. "Thank you!" Marcusic says. "The majority of the Point has been reclaimed by the living. We've re-established communication withthe dwarves of Eastgate, who have secured about half of Oldtown. If you're looking for more work, they could use some help. Otherwise, we'll begin venturing into the Estates starting on Moonday, although that will be handled mainly by the City Guard."

Exhausted from the days activities, the group returns to the safety of the bridge to the Bright Tower. Sitting about one of the many campfires dotting the surface of the bridge, Ysildae and Maria discuss the tunnels they found beneath the Constable's Príosún, as well as, unconscious damphir, the drawings on the wall, the few items they scavenged. Mentioning the blood stained drawing of the interlocking backwards "F" and "R", raises the attention of a trio sitting at the next fire.

The commonality of the tattoo found by group #2 and the drawing found on the wall of the cell by group #1 is unmistakable. I'll let you guys share info as you wish and we'll see what everyone wants to do. Probably would be a good idea to list of information and items found by both groups in the Discussion Thread.

Marcusic looks down at Ysildaë from the steps of the inn. "No, you were correct to bring her to the infirmary, right away. I'll send a few guards to watch over her until she awakens. The Sisters and those at the infirmary are too weak to be left with a killer, even if she's knocked out." He scratches his beard a minute, "Touch by death, eh?!' He thinks for a moment, then clears his throat. "I need the Constable’s Príosún cleared as soon as possible. Make your way back there and finish the job if you can."

"Laws are a must if we're to rebuild the world... besides, I wouldn't be a good Constable if I didn't uphold some semblance of the law." Marcusic wrings his hands a moment before crossing his arms. "No, this one was caught sneaking into the to Tower. We're not sure of her intentions or her punishment, if she deserved one, would have been swift and harsh.... and with the Hazards indisposed at the moment," he continues as he waves a hand in the general direction of the Bright Tower. "She's being held in the tower until they can divine an answer out of her silvery little tongue."

I would assume that Titan gathered your belongings. He did grab the essences as well.

Marcusic nods at Muraisa, "Yes, the priest of the Temple of the First Light. And, I'm sure the Sisters of Teysura would welcome you to stay any final words to your friend as they lay him in the Mother's arms." Turing to Kayin, he cocks an eyebrow. "We usually don't keep company with those that break the law... but I may know someone that may be helpful. Let me see if I can get them relieved of their shackles," he laughs. "I'll send word to you tonight of their... availability."

Marcusic looks astonished at Muraisa's words. "Intelligent undead?! That isn't good news. I believe you are the first to encounter such creatures. I'll inform the other groups to be wary. Thank you for the update." He looks down at a letter in his right hand. "If it's not too much trouble, could you deliver this message from the Tower to Thomas. He was not at the infirmary when I stopped by on my way here. I was told that he had gone to pray for the deceased. The Sisters are burying them down in the dry lake bed... and don't forget, I need the brewery cleared in the morning!"

Anything else for Marcusic?

"Damn..." Marcusic says as he walks up to the group. "I saw your friend, the tiefling. I saw his body be carried by the Sisters for burial. Father Haessen says that the gods have forsaken us to some degree... revival of the slain is beyond the power of the clerics here in the Vale."

Ser Cássyon speaks quickly to the Constable, updating him on the group's encounter at the brewery. "Well, we'll need it cleared before we move the barriers forward. I was hoping to connect to Eastgate before long. Will you be up for returning there tomorrow?"
