Marcus was a street urchin through and through. His parents and younger sister died of the pox before he was eight. Only the gods smiling on him, kept the young boy from meeting the same fate as his family. With no other relatives, the young boy was forced to beg or steal what he needed to survive. Even then, his charismatic nature brought others to him, and soon he had a small gang of forgotten youth.

Once he had saved enough of his ill-gotten gains, he left the group for what he called bigger and better things. He would hire himself out as a caravan guard, and soon he had traveled great and far. Of course he would, from time to time, supplement his wages with items he lifted from the very caravan he was guarding. As with most things, Marcus grew tired of the work. He was not one to suddenly take orders from someone. Instead he began to find others that shared his need for adventure.

Soon he began to make a new name for himself; that of a tomb raider, a very lucrative and dangerous profession. Strangely enough, his quick reflexes and lack of common sense fit his new lifestyle perfectly. He is able to take on jobs that wiser men would run screaming from.

Many consider him a fop and a flirt, quickly underestimating the man. That is their first mistake. Their second is when they decide to go against the Mouse.
