I was curious about exactly what bonuses get added to damage on multiple attacks.
I have a level 8 fighter with a BAB of 8/3 giving me 2 attacks. I would have assumed that if I took a full attack round and hit with both attacks I would add my strength modifier to each attack so it would would look like the following with a str modifier of 5:
1st atk (1D8+5) + 2nd atk (1D8+5)
According to my DM if I were to hit with both attacks I only add my strength modifier once so my damage would look like the following:
1st atk (1D8+5) + 2nd atk (1D8)
I've searched though the core rule book's combat section but can't find anything that's definitive on how damage on multiple attacks is added.
