Male Human Rogue/1

"A tabard is what I was thinking, Alika. That is how I have observed them worn by others. And do you really think me a lick spittle?"he asks, a smile and a wink for the beautiful woman.

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur will use Diplomacy-Gather Information to find a cloth merchant and a seamstress to fashion proper cloths for himself and Gawain.
Diplomacy-Gather Information: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur nods in agreement to the plan as Matt lays it out. "If I am to be acting as Sir Gawain's valet, then I will need to gain the proper clothing. What are the colours of your house, my lord?"Mangur asks while bowing towards Gawain, a smile on his lips.

Male Human Rogue/1

updated character in alias. new rogue feat, Follow clues.

Male Human Rogue/1

"I would, of course, put myself in the place of the servant. It would allow me to keep an eye on these people, and, if he needed it, advise our knight here.", Mangur says while slapping Gawain on the shoulder.

Male Human Rogue/1

"Indeed that was to be my suggestion as well. And such a knight would need a servant to attend to him. Perhaps a servant who is also observant!

Male Human Rogue/1

"A light meal and a cup of cider would be welcome. And the chance to hear Lady Alika sing, well now how could I pass that up!"
Mangur smiles as he orders a selection of cheese and bread for the group, and a round of drinks for the table.

Male Human Rogue/1

"As I have mentioned before, I am tired of being an errand boy. I would like to know what plans our employer has for us. The gathering of a few items, I can understand, but to treat us like this! Well I know my worth, and I do not see myself getting rich completing tasks such as this. I do not know what the rest of you feel, but I would like some answers."

Male Human Rogue/1

Sorry swamped with work and holiday stuff

"It went well, thanks to the glib tongue of Matt and the stern visage of Tristen. How about you? All went well I assume?"

Male Human Rogue/1

That is what it is...I was trying to remember what skill was now used for that!!

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur looks over the peperwork to make sure it is all in order, then joins the others out on the deck, just in time to hear the port offical ask about the papers. Do they look real...if they do then I go ahead with the following, otherwise I will have to figure something out.
"We have the proper paper work here my good fellow," he says and hands the papers to the customs official.

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur looks over to the Captain as Matt mentions the required paperwork.
" I am sure you have all the papers for this consignment ready for us!" he asks, holding out his hand.

Male Human Rogue/1

Sorry for missing most of the talk with the captain yesterday, kids had their Christmas Play at school...but between Tristen and Matt we got what we needed!!

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur looks over at the captain, assessing the man and what he might be trying to gain (Sense Motive)
"My dear Captain, I assure you that we are dealing in good faith with you, and our employer has amply paid you for transport of these items. I would suggest that you contact your factor and discuss the terms with him." (Diplomacy?)

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur nod to Matt as he checks over the vials. Once he gets the 'O.K.' from Matt he hands over the payment to the captain. "It has been a pleasure doing business with you captain. Perhaps, in the future, we may do so again."
With that, Mangur follows the others out of the cabin and back onto the deck.

Male Human Rogue/1

"Ah captain. A pleasure. I do not wish to take too much of your time, however I am here to collect a package for my employer from you. I am sure you know what it is, so if we may conclude our business, I will leave you to finish your business with this fine fellow here!

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Male Human Rogue/1

MTM

"Well my good sir, this is something I need to speak to your captain about. The items are very delicate, so he has probably placed them in his own care, to ensure they were not damaged in transit. If we could speak with him, we will clear your deck and let you get back to your work."

Male Human Rogue/1

MTM

Mangur moves forward to where Matt is speaking to the foreman. "Good day to you sir. My friends and I are here to pickup a package for our employer." Mangur also looks over all the items being unloaded, seeing if anything looks out of place.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Male Human Rogue/1

Having enjoyed the afternoon in Matt and Tristen's company, he joins them in heading down to the dock awaiting the arrival of their ship.

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur continues to speak with the people working the docks, gathering various bits of information about the comings and goings of the various factors and merchant princes of this city. He also gathers information on what are the most valuable imports and the cheapest exports, gaining an understanding of the mercantile makeup of this place.

Knowledge-Local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Diplomacy-Gather Information: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Male Human Rogue/1

MTM

Enjoying the feel, sound and smells of the docks, Mangur almost misses what Matt is saying. "Hmmm?? Yes the numbers do see a bit down, but that is not unusual." He watches as Matt tries to speak to the street merchant, gaining information. He instead moves towards the docks, looking to speak to the longshoremen and question them about the ship they are waiting for..where it comes from, who owns it, its cargo, etc.

Diplomacy-Gather Information: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur is looking to make some merchant contacts down on the piers. Get a feel for the commodities and, perhaps look into using his services to help gain a little more money, if possible.
"Ready when you are my friends!" Mangur says.

Male Human Rogue/1

"A dagger should be more than sufficient. You do have the money for the items we need to collect?" Mangur says as he starts for the door. The group heads down towards the docks, looking for pier 7 and, as far a Mangur is concerned, looking to have a most enjoyable day.

Male Human Rogue/1

Then it is settled. Come on Matt. Lets us away to the docks. I do so love the smell of brine and tar in the morning air! It smells of...money."
Mangur gets up and slaps Matt on the back, ushering them out into the morning streets.

Male Human Rogue/1

Hmmm..I am sorry..I do not remember saying his crest was gone...my bad if I did..
"Thank you for your kind words Alika. I shall go down to the dock and retrieve these items, but I think we should deliver them personally to our employer. I, for one, wish to know if this is what he planned on us doing for him, or if there is something a little better suited to our skills. If someone else wished to retrieve the books, then we can meet back here for our midday meal and discuss our options."

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur rises and clears his throat, waiting until all are looking at him.
"My friends. I am conflicted with regards to our employer. We were each sent here by a trustworthy colleague, and were promised a good job. Unfortunately I find acting as a errand boy, or girl, was not what I signed on for. Our skills are quite above these tasks, and while I believe that our employer may be simply testing us, and getting us use to the territory, I am still galled by this work. I have gone to his home to confront him, and found the place looking deserted. I do not like being another’s' cat’s-paw. What say you all to this?"
His sits back down and awaits the others response.

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur watches Alika gather up the key and head for the stairs. He stands, tapping a finger against his teeth, deep in thought, then shrugs and greets the other members of the group.
"Tristen! Matt! A good morning to you. I suppose we should follow Alika to this meeting room and talk about what has gone on and where we go from here"
With that, Mangur climbs the stairs and heads for the room.

Male Human Rogue/1

As Matt gets up to talk to Tristen, Mangur approches Alika. "Good morning. Are we waiting to see what grocery list our employer has for us today?"
He leans forward and whispers to Alika, in Osiriani

Alika:

I hesitate to ask, but last night, as we stumbled about looking for our contact, an odd voice invaded my mind. I went to confront our employer aboout it, but no one was present at his home. I hesitate to guess what is afoot, but I do not feel that we have been dealt with fairly!

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur awakes and heads back to the Ogre to meet with the others. He grows tired of being a 'messanger boy'. He arrives to see Alika and Matt talking together. He stands a respectful distance from them until they are finished their private conservation

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur enters the taproom, and seeing noone around, takes a seat and relaxes with a later night dinner. He will remain until he is done eating, then depart for his own room.

Male Human Rogue/1

Seeing no easy way into speaking with their employer, Mangur decides to return to the Ogre and make sure everything is OK, before retiring to his own room for the night.

Male Human Rogue/1

I will go around back, where I believe I saw a door, and check its locks

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Disable Device: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Male Human Rogue/1

Sorry Tristen I did not mean to cut you out of anything :-(

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur, still shocked by the voice in his head, heads to their employers home. Making sure he is not followed or spotted, he knocks on the door and waits to be invited in.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur recovers and looks over to Alika and Matt. He sees Matt talking to the man in the booth with the dark hair. He moves over a bit closer to hear what they are saying, while keeping his eyes open for anyone else coming in their direction.
Sorry Alika....I did not mean to jinx your dice..really I didnt!!

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Male Human Rogue/1

Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Ouch...well at least it was not a 1..LOL

Mangur shakes his head violently, looking around wide-eyed as the echoes in his own mind begin to subside.
"What the hells was that!" he blurts out in a startled voice.

Male Human Rogue/1

Matt...you are running a dresden files game?? Is there still room?? I am reading all the books right now, and would love to get into a game!!! I have not played the system before, but would be willing to learn, if you have space!

Male Human Rogue/1

Moving over to the maid Matt had indicated, Mangur smiles and asks, "So I hear Burt was treating you badly! That is a great shame, a beautiful lady like you deserves so much better. Maybe someone ought to go over to his place and 'talk' to him about his attitude."

Using diplomacy to seem friendly and sincere
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Male Human Rogue/1

"Perhaps we should seek out this 'sick' barman and actually determine if he is sick, or was paid not to show tonight, or perhaps, no longer among the living. How was the message of his illness relayed to the tavern? Something very fishy is going on!

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur looks at the coin then towards Matt. He nod slightly and watches to see where he and the barmaid go. He will keep his eyes open for anyone else watching Matt.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Male Human Rogue/1

Tearing his attention away from the very provocative song Alika is singing, Mangur scans the crowd for anyone who seems out of place, of acting in an odd way.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Failing that, he will descreetly inquire if anyone knows Ionial Ustalic, starting with this waitress, then moving on to those who he feels are 'regulars' here.

Diplomacy-Gather information: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Male Human Rogue/1

Arrgh..system ate my post!!!

Mangur watches Matt and Alika enter the bar. He keeps his disguise up as he waits to see what happens. He also keeps his eyes on anyone who he has previously marked as 'questionable'.

Male Human Rogue/1

No need to give you private feedback, I think you are doing a great job!! Sure its has been a bit slow for some, but I think we also have to engage our characters into the story, and not just wait to react to specific things happening to them. I really liked the waitress learning elven...a very nice touch!

Male Human Rogue/1

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Noticing the exit, Mangur makes sure he is in a position to keep this exit in sight. He will order something to eat as the day wears on, but keep his eyes and ears open for any talk about his employer, or any strange goings-on here in town.

Male Human Rogue/1

DM:

He will try to blend in with the common crowd, probably by looking like a merchant. The main thing he will try and accomplish is that noone would be able to recognize him if he came back here without a disguise.

Speaking with a slight Osiriani accent, Mangur orders what looks to be the most popular drink. Once a better table or booth frees up he will move to it, and keep moving until he has a good view of most of the room. He will wait here until the rest of the party arrives, and keep a watch on who is watching them.

Male Human Rogue/1

oops..sorry Matt..I think we crossed paths here..lol. I suppose Mangur will already be in the Wyrm when you approch. I am sure he told you what he was doing, so you can take a quick look and tell the others..I will already be there keeping an eye on things for this evening.

Male Human Rogue/1

Taking a few moments in a bit of an out-of-the-way alley, Mangur changes his appearance to try and better fit in with the locals. He will enter the Wyrm and seek out a table or seat that gives him a good view of the place. He will stay here until the rest of the group arrives this evening, watching for their contact and asking discreet questions about him.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Male Human Rogue/1

Matt:

Mangur smiles and pats the fellow on the shoulder. "It has nothing to do with you my fine friend, please be assured of that. I just feel that with all of us in one place, coming and going as a group, well, we are going to attract attention. I also do not know our employer very well, and wish not to take to many chances."

Mangur states, "I can go to this bar and look around, if you wish. The rest of you return to the Ogre and I will meet you there in an hour or two, if that is ok."

Male Human Rogue/1

Sorry for not posting, but Mangur was making sure we were not being watched, as well having all of us hanging aroound would only draw attention to ourselves. He is close by, watching.

Male Human Rogue/1

Mangur continues to keep a watch on the group from a distance. He is hoping to notice anyone paying undue attention to the group as they make their purchases.
