Bot Me:
Malthus wades into combat, attempting to gain panache as soon as possible, preferably by Feinting a weaker-looking enemy followed by Striking it. He usually continues to Feint (with a +1 circumstance bonus from panache) then Strike at enemies, using Dueling Parry if he has a spare action or desperately needs to increase his AC. He usually reserves Confident Finisher for stronger enemies so he can almost guarantee some damage. He tries avoiding staying adjacent to enemies that are clearly more powerful than he is, using hit-and-run tactics to his advantage, unless moving away from them triggers some kind of nasty reaction (like Attack of Opportunity).
At the end of the day, Malthus is a coward, and if he finds his life is legitimately in danger (such as being at wounded 3 with a good chance of being knocked out again) or is fighting a battle he clearly cannot win, he drinks his potion of expeditious retreat and runs for his life, possibly even abandoning his companions (his life, as nobility, is objectively more valuable than most of his fellow Pathfinders’).
