Background:
Maicoh grew up in an unnamed village in the wilds of Palistan. Due to the nature of the hard life of the villagers, he had to grow up fast and strong. Luckily for him, he seemed to take to the life with natural talent. Everything was going well till his fourteenth year when his village was attacked by a band of orc raiders. They managed to burn down most of the village, including Maicoh's family home, before a group of Viridian Rangers arrived to slay the orcs. In their sweep of ther village, they found a lone teen standing above an orc corpse worth a crude club in his hands. Finding no other survivors they took the boy with them. He showed promise after all.
A few years pass as his training progresses in the ranger ways. He quickly learned more advanced talents, including magic, which brought him to the attention of some of the more future minded leadership. They deduced that he was a lost descendant of the Circle of Green. They planned to use him to empower themselves by enriching the gifts the original Circle of Green had given them. Unbeknownst to him, their plan involved sacrificing him. Before that could happen though, they needed him to develop his magic in ways the rangers could not guide him. To that end, they send him into Ptolus to a contact involved with the Inverted Pyramid.
He does ok in his new role but he chafes at city and its rules and society. Working as a messenger, a servant, and, when necessary, muscled bodyguard, he got to meet various lower level members of the mage guild. One young man named Sodimar Danyu took a particular interest in their new ward and helped Maicoh find out about his heritage as a druid and how their relationship with the Viridian Rangers developed. Satisfied with how things are going, Maicoh's chaffing at city life subsides a bit.
