Female Human

LoL gotcha. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't me.

Female Human

Who are we waiting on in play?

Female Human

Okiedokie guys, my phone is down for at least another week; I'll have a texting app on my IPad for when I'm at home though. More info to come later.

Female Human

DM:
Did the perception roll I made to spot where Thrawn was headed work out for me?

Female Human

Oh! Right. I zoomed in on the map so it excluded that label. My bad.

Female Human

Which building is Old Light? I have a horrid memory lol, sorry.

Female Human

Just so you guys know, if you need to talk to me, my phone is out of minutes probably until Friday, as of tomorrow sometime. You can both get ahold of me here or on my regular email.

Female Human

DM:
I can handle the hit to my stealth. I'll move to the square you're talking about, then make a

Perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20 check

to see if I can see or hear where Thrawn is.

Female Human

I hope you know I have an obligation to shoot you a little bit if you hurt the stupid angry mob. :P

Female Human

DM:
intelligence check 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
Also knowledge local check for the Hags Plummet, 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18

[ooc]I'll be going full speed, but stealthy. Do I need to make another check for that? Just in case 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

Also, I'll head east once I get to Junker Way

Lyssia darts between houses, staying low and quiet. Trying to stay in a discreet position while still able to see Thrawn, she turns slightly more to the east to run parallel to the Guardhouse.

Female Human

DM:
Ok, in that case, I'm going to just head to the west and then to the north, going more toward Junker Way, and head east to get out of town via the north end of Cliff Street. I'll try to stay stealthy and in sight of Thrawn.

BTW, what check do I have to make to know what the hell he was talking about before he pushed me away?

Initiative1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Female Human

DM:
I will head in whatever direction Thrawn seems to be going, just a little further down. I'll climb up the theater to see better and try to stick to the roofs and out of sight as much as possible.

Climb check 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Female Human

DM:
I'm assuming Hag's plummet is an herb of some sort? Or a place? Knowledge Nature check 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Also, what negative am I at right now to make another stealth check to follow Thrawn in a more discreet manner?

Stealth check (once I'm on top of the roof)1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Lyssia sighs and gets moving. She moves a few yards away and then starts to move parallel to Thrawn and the mob. She could hear the mob's angry shouts and hoped that he was smart enough to not actually hurt anyone.

She climbs on top of a house a few rows back, to where she can see Thrawn on top of the building he'd leapt to, staying low and quiet.

Female Human

DM:
Nah, not this time. I'm sure there are other ways to get out if there's trouble. On the other hand, I suppose it'd be nice to be able to really scout. Hmm. Nah, I'll just take it in stride this time.

Female Human

A 1... Seriously? Ugh. lol

Female Human

DM:
Can you tell me what I see? And do luck points get replenished?

Female Human

Lyssia grabs Thrawn's shoulder, slowing him.

"Maybe it'd be best if I try to scout ahead a bit. That way we can avoid any villagers. Once we're out, you can tell me what it is you saw when you were looking at Kat."

DM:
Once we get to the door, I'd like to try to do as said before. I open the door very slowly, and use stealth to slip outside.

Crunch:
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

Female Human

"I have no arguments."

Lyssia heads toward the back door, nodding farewell to Buford.

Female Human

DM:
Nah, no sense motive check. I'll find out for sure once we get outside anyway. Perception to see what he's freaking about though. 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23`

Female Human

Lyssia follows him into the room with the bodies, standing at the opposite wall.

Lyssia glances at Thrawn.
"What kind of experience do you have in general survival? I noticed you packed enough provisions to get there, so you're not a total loss just yet. Do you need any help here before we leave?"

Female Human

"Alright. Can you try to at least send a messenger to let us know what's happening? Something..."

Female Human

"One of my best friends," Lyssia says, and strokes the falcon's feathers.
He nips at her hand affectionately before delivering a steady, unblinking stare to Thrawn.

Lyssia turns to Buford. "Anyway, are you not coming with us, then?"

Female Human

Lyssia grabs a couple biscuits and puts them in her pack, giving a piece of her days ration to Akos before closing the top and slinging it back over her shoulder.

"Karl is bound to be way beyond reason. Whoever is coming, I suggest they hurry up so we can get out of here. "

Female Human

My son has hit CAPS LOCK multiple times, closed the window and back tracked while I made that last post. I had to retype it three times. OMG

Female Human

"Thanks for your concern, but I'm already kind of an outcast, I've already lent my aid to Thrawn, rather dramatically according to the village outside, and my concern is catching the true murderer. For Kat and his potential future victims.

Myth'rawn, Satinder has already examined the bodies. What more do you hope to find?"

DM:
Yes, I did read the profiles, and I remember that from when you told me before. It will bring out bad feelings, and I highly doubt that he brutally raped, murdered, and mutilated his girlfriend and himself, so until we are away from the village, and I think it's necessary, I'll keep it to myself.

Female Human

"I'm not entirely satisfied with that answer... Well, I'm not satisfied with that answer at all."

Lyssia laughs and turns away.

"But I suppose that's all I'm getting from you, eh? Fine. For now. I'm sure that eventually I'll either figure it out, someone will try to cut my face off, or you'll tell us more detail so that we can better protect you."

She turns to Buford.

"When do you think we can leave?"

Female Human

Lyssia gives the elf a long, even look.

"Well. I guess that doesn't come as much of a surprise. Who do you think is after you? Or, a better question: what knowledge turns you into such a threat?"

Female Human

"let's go to Grump's place for now... I can go with you and maybe Help out with his sour disposition.

As for any more theories.... I don't know. As far as I know the elf has kept to himself, and Kat was... I can't think of any enemies that she would have."

Lyssia turns to Thrawn,
"I doubt that this was the cause, but can you think of anyone who would want to get you into trouble for this? It seems the whole village just assumed you were behind it.

Satinder, I have nothing beyond that. What are your theories?"

Female Human

DM:
how far is it from the guardhouse to the farms?

Female Human

DM:
1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18

Female Human

DM:
I never made a perception check? Unless you did for me lol. I'd love to make a second check. 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Female Human

Sssshhhh... Brian, don't give away our secret plans by saying we won't do it! Then it's lying, too!

Female Human

DM:
what check to I have to make to tell I'd I can smell anything unusual?

Female Human

Lyssia looks at Buford, puzzled.

"I can't tell when he's being serious and when he's being... I don't know. Him? Is there a better description?"

Female Human

Lyssia walks up to stand next to Buford as everyone gathers.

"Karl's been informed? I didn't see, was he part of the crowd outside?"

Female Human

"So what's the plan? Lyssia asks, "I don't suppose we can march out there and do a full body inspection of every villager physically capable of these acts."
She turns to Satinder.
"Do you have any ideas?"

Female Human

Lyssia smiles at him sweetly.

"I don't think you're helping your case by acting heartless. Even less so for being an idiot. But thank you for the offer."

Female Human

LoL. I pictured a Terminator-esque drama sequence there. Music was playing in my head and everything.

Female Human

Icky!

Female Human

Lyssia stands coldly, absorbing all the details and information. She'd heard stories before of the Skinsaw Murders.

"who found them?" she asks the room. She continues to stare at the bodies.

Female Human

DM:
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Female Human

lyssia gestures impatiently.

"A lady? While I am a lady, Hemlock, I need answers, and I want all of them. I'll come with you. It's my connection to the victims that requires me to know exactly what happened, as awful as it may be. Please, lead the way."

Female Human

*wipes sweat off forehead* whew! That could have been bad...

Female Human

DM:
Lyssia climbs down from her perch, careful to keep an eye on the seemingly pacified crowd.
"Thank you." she whispers as she reaches Buford, and opens the door wide enough for her and the priest to get inside.

Female Human

That'd be a neat idea. Oh look, more tests, right? :P
@ Brian: LA? Cool. Well, I bet it's hot, actually.

Female Human

DM:
Lyssia crouches on the roof, searching for signs of further aggression. She nods at the good priest and holds her position.

Female Human

@ Jack: What's that? Yeah I think I may have gotten myself into trouble with that, but I really wanted to see if I could get through to them.

@ Brian: LoL yeah yeah Im a busy woman dontcha know?

Female Human

Posted. Sorry it took me so long, guys.

Female Human

"STOP!" Lyssia yells from atop the building, We all want justice! We ALL want revenge!! Kat was my best friend, and blood at that. But how can you people expect to get true justice without true answers??"

DM:
Diplomacy check I guess lol 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

"The good Sheriff and the Guard have our suspect. He's in hand with others who feel the same as you and I do! There's no point in acting like a crazed mob with no sense and no real ambition but to be angry. Act like the good people you are, and wait for answers, and real justice!"

Female Human

DM:
Perception check for a quick/easy way to climb the nearest building 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17. If there is a good way up, climb check to get there please. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10. Once on top of the building, pull my bow, and aim a careful shot to the dirt in front of the lead aggressor. Hopefully that gets someone's attention.
