Lyari rides in silence to better concentrate on the forest about him.
"Either leads to our ultimate destination. Both will no doubt have it's own challenges..." He then goes silent once more. Lyari casts Mage Armor.
Lyari remains silent as his companions discuss the forest and its environs. Not wishing to be dragged into a conversation about Fey when he is of elven blood he is content to be quiet and keep wary. Perception
Lyari dismounts and begins to aid Myla with her request though he remains quiet throughout.
DM: I am ok, not sure what else I would have to add at the moment as my character is the quiet observer type!
DM: Playing in 20+ games and running 26 (soon to be 27) is time consuming. Outside of the boards I have a fairly busy work schedule and of course a life!
Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another. To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status. My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Lyari remains quiet as Jonith explains enough about the mission to appease the Squires.
Lyari nods as he assumes he is the witch hunter that the Court Magi is referencing but as he cannot be sure, Lyari remains silent on the matter. With a slight bow to the King and Markous, Lyari heads to the stables to be ready to leave when the others arrive.
Lyari & Dealan: Lyari looks up, "You're supposed to meet the King too? Any idea what about?"
Dealan & Lyari: Lyari grins, "I suppose in many ways baking is like magic. A specific formula or recipe must be followed to the letter. If the proper ingredients or components are not present, the endeavor will meet with little success.
So yes, I have baked but what I make is not nearly as delicious as what you make oh Master Baker".
Dealan & Lyari: "Ghost eh? Sometimes I feel that way certainly.
It means that he makes something that is nothing more important than it needs to be. I have had little interaction with the Magi thus far. I have little time for else but my studies..."
Lyari shrugs at Dealan, "None are. I spend most of my time in the Library as I do not need to eat overmuch. Marriage is... not for me".
Lyari shrugs, "A pie is fine once ready thank you. Please call me Lyari, I am not one for formalities..."
"Good morning Ewan. Your mind on breaking a fast as well. Good morn' to you as well Dealan..." His smile is genuine but he appears a bit surprised to see anyone here but the cooks.
Lyari is not entirely sure how to receive the response from her and instead says nothing seeking out a meal before his audience.
Lyari grins, "I did not realize that my efforts would be so transparent. Still, there are plenty of books I've not read so perhaps I'll come back again on the 'morrow". Lyari pulls his col over his head to hide his elven heritage, while most knew who and what he was in the castle, out of sight out of mind seemed to be an effective tool for keeping humans from reacting badly to his presence when his presence was felt as minimally as possible. "Thank you for finding and informing me of my meeting, I shall head to get a belly full of food before my meeting with the King". Lyari heads to the kitchen to do just that!
"ACHOOOOO!" The dusty tomes of the Library have occupied Lyari for days on end. While his swordwork could use some polishing, Lyari knew that his true value came from the arcane magic that flowed within and through him. So into the deepest parts of the Library he has plunged himself, seeking some kernel of Lore that ArchMage Markous and his apprentices may have missed...
