Dealan Garnett
Dealan laughs as he watches Myla. Get her Myla. Show her who the best squire is!
Dealan seems giddy, remebering the times he played Knight with his friends back in Riverport. And don't go easy girl!
He looks to the other Knights. Ser Gawain don't undermine what I have been teaching Myla. She is able to speak her mind and not be judged. Besides if it came down to a fight I'd put 2 gold and a year of baking on Myla
Crown Prince Gawain
"I'll see that 2 gold and a week of baking and counter with 5 gold of my own to match. Galahad has your girl beat!" He glanced sideways at the man, his eyes tightening slightly, before he took a sip of wine.
"I appreciate what you have been teaching your Squire Dealan but there is also the little matter of restraint. If they get injured fighting amongst themselves then their careers as Knights are over. Plus it is unseemly for Knights to be seen fighting outside of an arena or a battlefield. We do have to uphold an image after all!"
Dealan Garnett
Dealan roars with laughter, something he hasnt done in years. Beat Myla?! Impossible. She can hold her own against me on her worst of days quite well. Galahad and Feylinn have nothing on her. And I said a year of baking. Not a week.
It is quite clear that despite their many disagreements Dealan thinks highly of his squire. And this has nothing to do with her blood.
Dealan Garnett
Dealan returns the look Gawain gave him. Jousting is a game played by nobles who are too afraid of a thwack or two. If you want a real competition, let's go get them wooden weapons and do what my kind of people do. A good old battle royal. The only real type of sport a warrior should play, not let's be pansies and just unhorse people in full plate.
Crown Prince Gawain
Gawain laughed softly and nodded. "Oh yes, lets. Sounds like a bloody good time to me, and to Galahad too I would wager." He shot the boy a nod before his gaze returned to Dealan.
"What about you Dealan, do you stand behind your own words? Care to pick up a length of steel and go a round or two? We can play safe and use dulled blades not live steel. No need for you to suffer more wounds today!"
GM Storyteller
Myla looked back and forth between Dealan and Gawain as they went on and on about her and Galahad. She crossed her arms as her face started to turn red and her eyebrow twitched.
Feylinn saw the change and slowly began to back away from the dragon blooded girl as calmly and quickly as she could.
Galahad couldn't help but stare at the girl and notice she was closely reaching her boiling point. "Um... Sers-" He began but never got the chance to finish.
"We are not here for your amusement!!!" Myla finally snapped at the two knights, a large presents hung in her stance and in her voice. Her draconic blood no doubt. With that she turned about and started off for the door.
"Myla dear! Where are you going?" Feylinn called out timidly.
"TO HIT SOMETHING!" Myla growled as she vanished through the door.
"Oh dear... We'll need new pratice dummies..." Feylinn said.
A loud hearty laugh could be heard from the back of the room. "Knew I always liked that kid!" A tall redheaded woman stood behind you all, great axe on her back. Most of you know her as Titana.
Dealan Garnett
Dealan smiled as Myla exploded. Of course Gawain. I will grab a dulled Ransuer after I get my squire.
The baker ducked out of the door following his apprentice. Myla. Get back here. No one was using you for amusement. I was merely saying you are the best here. If you want you can take your anger out on me. But stay.
Dealan glared his apprentice. Calm down girl. Quit assuming you know what I mean when I say things. I am not some noble blooded idoit who thinks people beneath him are there for entertainment. You are an equal to me girl. A strong fighter and strong willed person. That is all I was saying. Now I challenged Gawain to a battle with blunt weapons. Any advice you can give me?
GM Storyteller
"You began betting on us! How am I suppose to take that?" She asked as she stopped walking and turned to him. "You and Ser Gawain stood there, betting on Galahad and I as if we where dogs chasing a fox! Not once did either of you ask if we wanted to even participate. Not to mention we're suppose to become knights! Testing ones self is fine, but putting your squires against one another would only serve to hurt feelings in the end. Rivalries are settled at tourneys, where there are rules and witnesses." She took a deep breath after the last of her words left her mouth. When she calmed a bit more she answered "I've never seen Ser Gawain fight so I am unsure what advice would be helpful."
Galahad sigh as he said "I'll go fetch. The practice equipment."
"It's Titana, not Titania. Ti-ta-na." She told him, offering a slight glare.
Dealan Garnett
Who bets on dogs chasing foxes? That is just cruel to the fox Dealan says, confused at noble tendencies.
I did not mean to do that girl. I just think highly of you. You are a great squire. I did not mean to belittle you to a thing of entertainmemt. I am not used to your way of thinking girl. I apologize. I should try to see things more through your eyes. Now, would you like to watch Gawain and I fight? I can make you a pie as well. I feel like I need to make it up to you.
Dealan smiles. I wouldn't know anything about tournaments girl. They are a waste of money that could help the people of the kingdom. A real rivalry can be settled in other less violent ways. Like rock, paper, shears. Or who can climb trees the longest. Or swim the longest. Forgive me for saying but with that knowledge tournaments seem like a frivolous, worthless thing compared to just enjoying a rivalry and a friendship.
Trimar Deleflaur
Trimar watched the others goad themselves into a small frenzy. He chuckled at his squire "Don't let them goad you into a fight not worth fighting, there is no benefit in getting all worked up and bruised for no reason." he said half serious.
He looked over at the others and grinned "Besides, this isn't a test of skill if they are throwing on their armor. This is merely at test of who has the better armor. If they were really interested in showing of, they'd get in their leathers wit their fancy wooden weapons." he staring at his nails and showing that he was more worried about his cleanliness than their bravado.
Dealan Garnett
Im laughing because Dealan said nothing about armor.
Dealan looks at Myla. Dammit Girl, why do you make things so hard to deal with. Before I fight Gawain, no armor and just a blunt ransuer after all its a test of skill not of money, I want you to hold onto something for me. You can't tell anyone though.
Dealan reached into his belt pouch pulling out a silvering with several small amethysts set in a swirling pattern. There is someone back near my home I want to give this to, but I don't trust myself yet girl. And I don't want to do anything stupid. Let me tell ya something, nothing is worth giving up happiness. Not being a Knight, not anything. I made a mistake that I regret every day, and its to much to live with sometimes girl. Don't make those kinds of mistakes. I will tell you about them if we can get to the south.
Dealan's face was somber as he spoke, his eyes betraying a depression that consumed him. Then it was gone, brushed aside as if the man inside was fighting not to be consumed. Now, don't let Feylin talk to you like that again. Give her a good thrashing. Keep her in line. No one should be able to skate on things because 'I ain't good at manual labor sers'. If that girl went to my home town and tried that she would be set shoveling manure. I don't think she has a good role model either but thats between us eh?
GM Storyteller
"Coming Ser." Galahad said as he walked out along side his knight.
Myla laughed a bit. "It is a hunting practice." She explained with a sight.
"Oh I'm just fine." Feylinn said with a flip of her hair. [b]"Though I don't really like when Myla is all railed up, my hair stands on end when that happens.
Crown Prince Gawain
Gawain stops and turns to look at Trimar before he leaves. "Skill does not depend on what armour you wear. We are all trained in different styles of combat, are we not? You and Dealan fight with grace and speed, I fight like an immovable rock, clad head to toe in steel, wielding my shield and sword and standing like an unbreakable anchor in the midst of battles. Why would I, who is built a lot stockier than you and Dealan, wear no armour when you will easily out class me when it comes to speed? Why stack the deck in your favour when I can even the field?" He shook his head before bowing slightly and turning to go collect his gear for the duel to come.
"Come watch or even challenge me afterwards if you like, we will be below!"
Dealan Garnett
You nobles have strange practices. Next thing you will be telling me Feylins behavior was completely normal. Dealan said with a heavy sigh. You should teach that girl a lesson one of these days. She can be quite a lazy brat. All in Dealans opinion of course :P
No one you would know, and considering who she is I may net even find her when we get there. But she isn't the only reason I want to take you south. You can learn a lot down there. Dealan says smiling at Myla. You can be a very good squire when you aren't fussing over me or exploding you know.
Alright Myla. I will go grab a blunt ransuer for this fight. You are welcome to come and fuss over me. I hope Ser Gawain doesn't think this is some nobles game where armor is used. That would be unfortunate for him and Galahad. You can go do what you want of course girl. And Myla. Don't ever stop speaking your mind. Just as a general rule girl.
Dealan stopped talking and let out a small chuckle. Heh, girl. Your what? Thirteen? You aren't much younger than me.
With dex and the hidden and never shown to anyone amulet of natural armor im at 14 for AC :P
Trimar Deleflaur
Trimar grinned as Gawain saw through his play. He shrugged slightly "Forgive me if I tease you, I had attempted to turn this into a battle royal with it stacked a bit in my favor. I prefer a fight I know I can win...though don't let that lovely piece of steel I carry with me fool you into thinking I'm some fancy swordsman. No, I will stay in my tree and shoot you on the way in just fine thank you." he said laughing a bit.
He half smoothed his squire's hair as he walked by but still picked up that glorified showpiece of a weapon and his leathers just in case. He made sure it was still tied into it's travel scabbard and not the one for show before heading to the door."Come, let's see these knights at play...who knows you might learn a thing or two...even if it's how to tackle such an opponent instead of how to fight like them." he said forgetting the bad weather outside for the time being.
GM Storyteller
"Ser Dealan does have armor yes?" Galahad asked as he helped his knight into the armor.
Myla gave a small laugh as she shook her head. "Just be careful Ser. Gawain may have a trick or two."
"Oh? We're going to watch them now? I didn't think such a think would entertain you." Feylinn said with a smile as she followed after her knight.
Walden finally catches up with Ser Jonith as they all head to the pratice area. "What did I miss?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow.
Dealan Garnett
Dealan laughs. I was the man fight before. He is a rock. Not the kind of person to get to me without getting a good thwack on the head. Even if I brought my armor. Do you think I should bring it invade he decides to? I should I have Galahad remove his to make it fair. After all in in traveling leathers. This can't stop a weapon. You are the one who looks after me Myla so I expect your wisdom
Ser Jonith
Walden finally catches up with Ser Jonith as they all head to the pratice area. "What did I miss?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Not much", said Ser Jonith with a small shake to his head. The cavalier motioned his squire to sit next to him.
"Sit. Rest. I dare say you've earned it", giving Feylinn a knowing glance.Ser Jonith waves to get the attention of the waitstaff. "A tall, cold drink for a hard working squire, if you please?"

Okay, so dear Suger is ill. So this is what I'm going to do. Tomorrow I am going to post the intro, since the intro doesn't mean we have to just right into the main quest, and is more rp heavy, we won't have to worry about characters being fully done. Then we can move into the quest itself once she is feeling betters!
Trimar Deleflaur
Alright, I think I managed to smash through my writer's block. All it took was a full belly, Gun x Sword playing in the background, my notes in the foreground, my wife's snoring in the background and a pupper nearby making out with a bone.
I've found my muse LOL.
Got some of it done, at least the more important parts. I'm unsure what to put in my actual character tab and what to leave secret as I'm not sure how much he would honestly tell people. I mean it's not like he's private, shy, or ashamed...he just doesn't kiss and tell? About anything?
I'm not sure, but I think I've settled with him having a proper confidant (though, she will be one because she keeps mysteriously finding shit out about him. Not that he offered up the information), and then I just got to write in two more key characters in his background tie in....maybe a third and then figure out who his actual patron was that agreed to knight him (Good god to whoever thought that was a good idea.)
