I've never played a bard before and am having trouble figuring out how to be charismatic enough I suppose.

I have both now... oops. I made them in PCGen, so I have character sheets in PDF on my Google Drive. Let me know what you think of either of them. After making them I think I'm leaning toward the bard.... but they both sound fun!

Haunted Forest seems like it could lead to interesting shenanigans. The We Be Goblins sounds like it could be a lot of fun to play and also shenanigans. Godsmouth, Murder's Mark, Thornkeep-Forgotten Lab/others, and Emerald Spire all sound like interesting stories. I'm afraid I didn't narrow it down much.

I would like to go for warrior. I'm still having issues downloading the guide, I will try again in a few hours.
We will be using the beginner box rules, not the core rulebook for this adventure, so the only reading I would suggest you do before we start is the Hero Handbook from the Beginner Box. It would also be good to work through the single player adventure that is in the Hero Handbook just to give you an idea of how combat works. Thanks! I will do so asap. I am so excited!
