* Conjuration School of Magic: Conjuration Whenever you cast a conjuration (summoning) spell, increase the duration by a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum 1). This increase is not doubled by Extend Spell. At 20th level, you can change the duration of all summon monster spells to permanent. You can have no more than one summon monster spell made permanent in this way at one time. If you designate another summon monster spell as permanent, the previous spell immediately ends. Replacement Powers: The following school powers replace the acid dart and dimensional steps powers of the conjuration school. Planar Knowledge (Ex): As an infernal binder, you gain a +3 bonus on Knowledge (planes) checks. Assume Control (Su): At 1st level, you can attempt to gain control over a summoned creature by disrupting the bond between it and the caster who summoned it. You must make a caster level check (1d20 + caster level) equal to 10 + the summoning caster’s level. If you know the summoned creature’s name, you receive a +2 circumstance bonus on the check. If the check is successful, you can control the summoned creature as if you had summoned it for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum 1 round). This does not increase the duration of the original summoning. The original summoning caster can attempt to regain control of the summoned creature as a standard action by making a caster level check against your caster level + 10. When your control ends, the creature reverts to the control of its summoner. At 9th level, you can use this ability to bargain with called creatures as if you were the caster who conjured them. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier. Imp Familiar (Ex): At 7th level, you gain Improved Familiar as a bonus feat, and must take an imp as a familiar. The imp replaces your current familiar. Encumbrance (33/66/100): 33.5 lbs 10 gp + 80gp + 185gp
****Hero Lab messed up on the campaign trait so I custom added it. Luccinus de Concorezio is the third child of a mid level priest of the Asmodean church in Cheliax, specifically its capital Egorian. His elder brother was directed into the clergy. His sister went into the military, only to be killed in an uprising in Kintargo. Luccinus with his obvious intelligence was reserved for other things. There was some degree of prestige and political capital in having a child who graduated from the Egorian Academy of the Magical Arts as a Devil binder, and so Luccinus had 'value'. His tutors were... 'demanding'. His back still bears marks and scars from his more enthusiastic childhood teachers. On the upside he did a lot of travel with his head tutor as he was forced to impose on relatives in order to meet various arcane dignitaries to secure his position at the Academy. It sharpened his nascent talents on reading others, and changing his approach to best meet their desires. The last 8 years have been painful but there was a pleasure, a thrill in the domination of others. Luccinus developed a knack for the internal politics of the students and faculty alike, including the talent for delivering credible threats and an appropriate degree of menace. Those students who failed to master at least preliminary political insight rarely survived. He graduated in the top 9% of his year. A prestigious result. He realises that his ascent is just beginning. If the The Asmodean Disciplines teach anything, it's that he must work within the strictures and structure of the law to improve his position, and even Devils themselves must work together under a strong leader in order to climb to power... He is now on his graduation holiday, a treat from proud parents. His journey and gold got him as far as Longacre but quality debauchery has depleted much of his funds - after all fine wines, opiates and whipping slaves do not come cheap. He is eager to make some coin on the side and happy to use whatever reflected glory of the Academy to do so. Her Infernal Majestrix, Queen Abrogail II, and her latest proclamation to all loyal citizens to stand up and do their part to keep the empire strong should create opportunity. Luccinus is happy to work with others, and avoids deceit as a rule - he has little talent for it, but backs it up with ensuring that any threat issued is carried to its full extent, and any betrayal punished harshly. He naturally has the typical low grade paranoia and suspicion of colleagues that is a hallmark of all Chellish citizens. |
