Good point Kisper, that makes more sense, let's just use the first attack this time.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

"Vile knaves!" Loktar cries, swinging his great longsword at the nearest goblin in a deadly arc, and battering at any others nearby with his hooves.

Lrg. Longsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 191d10 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Hoof 1: 1d20 ⇒ 71d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Hoof 2: 1d20 ⇒ 171d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

More of us definitely should have acted before them. I counted 5 people beating the goblins in initiative. I can understand you taking the attacks from earlier into account, though I think those were intended more as lashing out at any goblins we saw while on our way to this fight than for this fight, but whatever. That said, there are still 3 people who beat them to initiative and have not acted yet.

Cade, I have to ask, how did you roll a perception check with your initiative bonus, and why is it relevant? ;)

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Loktar puts away his lance and draws his sword, slashing at nearby goblins as he runs towards the fire.

Ride-by-Attacks on way to fire: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 151d10 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

"Ha!" Loktar gives a short, braying laugh. "That was good, little one," He says, cantering towards the next group, lance held in a comfortable ready position born of familiarity.

Anyways, I think we killed them. I'm pretty sure that I didn't actually get to go.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Just checked, coup de grace is a full round action, and skips the attack roll. That said, 11 damage should be plenty to kill it anyways.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

With a fighting roar, Loktar charges one of the goblins, pulling out his lance as he goes.

Lance Charge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 223d10 + 15 ⇒ (10, 3, 2) + 15 = 30

He pulls up, obviously confused, and then glances at the tip of his lance. A goblin is about halfway down, and he obviously did not notice. "Take heart friends, they are weaklings! Let us kill them before they harm any civillians!"

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Loktar smiles at her curiosity. "There is not much to this story, but since you are interested, I will tell it. When I was but a foal, a human came to our lands in peace. He called himself a knight errant, and stayed with us only briefly, but when I showed interest in his code, he explained it to me. I took to the idea like a hal—, I mean horse, to the plains. I eventually wandered off a few years back, our tribe had grown strong by then, I was no longer needed to guard our women and children."

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

That makes a lot more sense. :)

Loktar smiles sheepishly, realizing his mistake, before giving a great laugh at his own expense, the children hiding among his bags tumbling out in a great heap, before running off to play elsewhere. "My bad," he says, still chuckling. "And as for the tattoos, to name a few major ones, this is for single-handedly holding off a raiding party that would have slaughtered the women and children of my tribe until help could arrive. It was, admittedly, rather small." he says, gesturing to one that covers half his face. "I have only a handful of other battle tattoos, as I mentioned, I abhorred the inter-tribal conflict, and was usually left to guard our noncombatants. No children, but I did help in the hunting of a drake once," this time, he rolls up a sleeve to reveal a startlingly good rendition of a red drake spitting a fireball, the tattoo taking up a fairly large area around his shoulder.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Loktar smiles at the curiosity, cringing slightly as she butchers his name. "I will admit, my knowledge of these land is limited, I am unsure exactly of where my homeland is in relation to the human lands. I come from the south, I can say that much with certainty. The scars are simply scars, and the tattoos didn't exist until you asked about them :P mark my tribe and rank within it, as well as many personal achievements. And that last was my name, Loktariim."

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Heh, was wondering where you got the extra multiplier. I'd forgotten about spirited charge. As for armor, they are nonhumanoid large creatures, but I could see some armors being priced for medium humanoids because they only cover the torso (breastplates, for instance).

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Partially laziness on my part (the damage dice, I never bothered to check scaling [facepalm]). I am also using the lance one-handed with a shield.

I'm using the centaur race listed here, with the addition of hoof attacks, since the archetype made for it specifically calls out hoof attacks.

And as for the rest, DM Forgedawn said a few different things since centaurs as a race and the archetype are both hazy. He said that I can wield medium and large weapons without penalty, and that my reach would depend on the weapon I was using. He has not elaborated further, so this is the result.

Thanks for going over all that, I feel kind of embarrassed about all the oversights now. And if that was confusing, know you're not alone, I'm pretty confused about the whole thing myself.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

All of my weapons are Large versions of weapons that normally deal 1d8 damage. As for reach, I am using reach for a large humanoid, but I had forgotten to go over the rules for such, it should make more sense now.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

"A water for me, my people do not partake of alcohol, it dulls the senses too much, and we must be constantly on guard against raids from other tribes," the centaur shakes his head sadly. "My people were always too focused on warring with each other." The knight looks off forlornly for a moment, and then turns to Kargas. "Tainted hagfish water?"

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Loktar comes over to the gathering group, a pair of children still on his back. "Hello there, I am Sir Loktariim Ogara, but most call me Loktar. I would bow, but I suspect I would topple someone from my back," he introduces himself in a friendly manner, trying to glance around at the children hiding among his saddlebags.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Seems I will have enough time each day to post at least once.

Loktar wanders the fair grounds, stepping carefully to avoid bumping or stepping on anyone as he takes in the sights. He soon attracts a crowd, mostly children who are looking for a ride. Loktar obliges, but to their (mild) disappointment, he does not have the room to run like they want.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

I'm going to be busy this weekend, and I don't know if I will have time to post until Sunday. I might have time on Friday. Sorry for the inconvenience, especially since we are just starting off.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Loktar settles down in his stall in the stables, making half-hearted attempts to communicate with the half-taur (horses) in the other stalls. He still hasn't found one smart enough to speak a civilized tongue.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Status Report: I think Cade is the only one still even in the common room, and I assume he will retire in his next post with no one else to talk to. Hopefully DM Forgedawn is just letting us roleplay.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

You think it's hard for you to see him, I'm twice his size, not counting the horse part. ;)

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Sorry for how long I've been, busy weekend came up unexpectedly.

A rather large head of neatly trimmed black hair peeks into the common room from outside, along with what appears to be most of a very large man. "Er, excuse me, miss?" he calls to one of the waiters. She hurries over and a short whispered conversation commences, before the girl hurries of to find Ameiko. A similarly short conversation ensues, and Ameiko goes to the door, going outside to talk with the man.

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Jeez you two! That's a lot of back and forth!

I'm using a large lance for the most part. So I'm guessing that how this is going to work is that I get Large reach with Large weapons, and Medium reach with Medium weapons. In that case, what reach would I get for a large shield, or my hooves?

Male Centaur Cavalier (Charger, Gendarme) 1 | Init +3 | AC 23 | hp 15 | Fort +6 | Ref +3 | Will +2

Loktar still has a little fluff to put in, but he is ready to go.

How are you going to handle his reach? Do I get reach as a large humanoid, or normal reach? Sorry for all the questions by the way, but there was a lot unclear.
