Dave also mentioned offline at one point to me that he had hoped for more table talk from the game (correct me if I am off here, Dave). A big part of the fun in a game can often come from talking to your fellow players about crazy ideas/bad rolls/RP/brainstorming together about your situation. We've had a little interspersed as OOC comments, but not a whole lot of out of character discussion. I would encourage all of you to make use of the discussion thread to talk about your current situation, possible plans of action for your character or things you think the group should do, and just general observations about the game.
That is a good way to put it, Geoff. I kept thinking about the actual around-the-table RPG that I'm playing now, and there seemed to be a lot more reactions to inventive gameplay, and suggestions solicited and accepted for people's actions.
I'm bad at this myself. I want to offer advice and strategic goals, but I feel that it's impolite to tell other people what they should do with their character on their turn. (Especially since I know I'm not playing my own character optimally...) I also don't want to turn into the 'armchair general'.
I have had a bit of trouble coming up with sections of the saga. It's actually one reason why I haven't been posting quite as quickly as I can. I'm currently making up the whole story. I know people really like them, but some days I have saga-block.
I'm going to try writing some of them in advance, and also copying directly from some of the sagas. Hopefully this will let me keep up the levels of epicness in a far more efficient manner.
I can probably post one 'large post' per day, which would be something like the saga, or a complicated turn. I will try to post more 'reactions' to especially good, bad, or crucial dice rolls. (These will be coming from my phone.)
