We tend to go a good 3 hours or so. Usually we end when people have to go.


Yeah I got in a discussion with another group about this and thought it's could be a good idea we should stick to what we ar3 already in. So I vote no as well.

And speaking of items there is a item that can sustain us called a fruitful sash that I originally thought about asking for before though iymt can only give one fruit for each character lvl


I would really like to see more Asian themed stuff as well. There is a to explore in their myths and i have no doubt some good aps and settings can be made for it.

Yeah not used to writing up a backstory for a high lvl pc. Added some more to it.

Background:
As a boy Warren was raised by his human father after his elven mother died during his birth. They lived in a small but very superstitious village. They had a simple life until Warrens power began to manifest itself. Fearing what the villagers would do if they found out about it they kept it secret. And it was kept that way for years.

He and his friend were playing in the wood when they were attacked. It looked grim at first with the beast nearly killing his friend but during those years he leaned many ways his power could be used one of them healing. And after killing the beast he was able to bring his friend back from deaths door. Thought his promised not to tell it was a lie and the next day he and his father were brought to the mayor. As they feared all those years he Warren was indeed suspected of witchcraft and they sentenced them to burn. Though his power did help him survive the flames they only allowed him to watch his father die first as the flame began to eat through his defenses.
The sight of his father’s death and the pain of the flames caused his emotions to over flow and with them his power. His wounds began to heal as the fire was doused as a shroud of water and ice began to form around him. Fueled by grief and rage a blade of ice formed into his hands which he used to cut his bindings. The villagers began to panic some drew weapons others ran. But to him they were all the same, the ones who killed his father and all deserved to die.
By the time he calmed down the village was empty. There were a few bodies but most got away but he didn’t care anymore. He knew what ever life he had was now gone as well as any ties to it. After a quick stop at his old home he left the village for good.

Some time after he left the village Warren roamed the region unsure what to do with himself when by chance the town he happened to be in found a witch and was getting ready to burn her. He didn’t know why he decided to attend considering his past but he did. He saw the young girl tied up like he was back then. People in the crowd yelling at her as she is crying with fear as a man claiming to be a witch hunter lit a torch readying it to be dropped on the pyre to burn the witch. The man dropped the torch but neither the pyre nor the girl caught fire as the torch was doused.
Warren wasn’t sure why he did it. Was it because he knew what it was like to be up there? Did he feel pity for her? Or was it simply lingering anger at the closed mindedness of the villagers and wanting to terrorize them more. Whatever was his reason all the attention now fell on him. The “Witch hunter” began some rant about the righteous might of Mitrans and killing all the filthy witches. The man continued as some of the people around him began to close in. someone tried to grab him but a blade of ice stopped that quickly. Once again the villagers panicked most fleeing some trying to fight.
After few unsuccessful attempts on his life and seeing him shred their “Witch Hunter” with ease. The rest of the villagers cleared out. He cut the woman down and after she thanked him and he healed her wounds as they left together. She followed him a ways asking many questions like did he serve Asmodaeus? Was he sent by him or some other follower? All which he answered no. But when he was asked does he also seek to overthrow the Mitrans’ rule over the land it got him thinking. It is the followers of Mitrans that outlawed witchcraft and spreads the fear of it and other unusual magic among the commoners. If it wasn’t for the fear they spread he wouldn’t have been branded a witch. He could have studied his powers in public and maybe found someone to help him understand it instead of having to hide it all those years. Yes, it was all their fault and their simple minded teachings. They needed to pay.
Warren continued traveling the region crashing any witch trials and killing any so called “Witch Hunters” he came across as well as assisting anyone opposing them.

Motivation: Warren views the worship of Mitrans and its hate for witches responsible for ruining his life. He desires to destroy them the way his life was destroyed that day and would be glad to see them gone.

Personality: He is somewhat cold, both emotionally and physically, and is hard to trust. But he is willing to use his healing skills he learned to help anyone that's an enemy of Mitrans. Anyone that does earn his trust would do well to not break it as just as easily as he can patch up wounds he can cause them.

true perhaps a mix then. Like his own memories are part of the record as the record is part of him now.


so i came up with this idea from another game I'm in with an amnesiac psychic. in it we found out the secret to my pcs ability to recall any spell was due to a link to the Akashic Record. it got me thinking that the same could be for Richard and when i make Knowledge rolls it could be that hes accessing the info from the record and the same for when he tries to remember spells.


I don't know I think the alchemist will still, and is supposed, to get the int to damage with their bombs. I think getting the feat only allows the alchemist to add their int to damage with other splash weapons like alchemist fire and bottles of acid.


No I'm still here just got busy with a lot of things so haven't really had time to sit down and write a response.


So from what I'm understanding here is the spell works on any creature unless it's immune somehow or protected against such things.

If the caster is incopreal or a non-native outsider it works as the greater verson but not the other way around.

Is this right?


I agree that makes a lot more sense that way. But that's not the issue i need help with. Its whether you can possess a demon with this spell or not.

I think we can safely say the last part of the spell only means a incorporeal undead or non-native outsider can use it like the greater version.

Now I just need to know if it works on demons from a human (or any other similar PC race) caster? Cause the spell itself doesn't say you can't but it also doesn't say you can, which it really should.


If that was how it was supposed to be why didn't they make it clear like add the target must have a physical body or something like that. Also though it says body, I think they meant it in the general term. I still read it as you can possess incopreal and non native outsiders.


So what seems to be the confusion is the last part of the spell text.
"Creatures whose souls are their bodies, such as incorporeal undead and non-native outsiders, use the effects of greater possession instead." I read that as i said above that my body vanishes instead of going limp. While others read it as you need greater possession to affect them. Would like more input on this and maybe explain your interpretation on it.


Do you need Greater Possession to possess a demon? I'm asking for the spell found in the occult stuff. My DM said you do but my interpretation is i can still possess it but it acts like greater as in my body vanishes instead of going lifeless.

Ahh I read that as in the occultis class instead of the occult classes. Was wondering why someone would ban just that one. Well I think I'll go with the alchemist class. Now to figure out what kind.

yeah its looking like ill have to bow out of this. i keep changing how i want the alchemist to be. i make him one way then want him another.


Still here and making an alchemist made him then remade him. Got him done but I am now facing some writers block on his story.


So decided to go with a alchemist. Still working on his story. Been a really busy couple of days at work and haven't had much time to work on him.


I've come up with two ideas. Your typical mad Alchemist focusing on body mods or a Half-elf ninja, disowned by his now late father, raised abroad and now wishes to prove he is more than worth his family's name.
Let me know what you think and I could use some help on the background information about this region. Most of my pathfinder games were homebrew .


This has got my interest. I will try to come up with something in a couple of days. So far thinking about an alchemists.


Well my original plan was to do that to the demon but thanks to that I realized I could use the paragon surge extract to basically change the type of damage I do with the feat it grants. When I first started playing the alchemist class I didn't realize the damage output they could do I just liked the weird things I could do with them. (In a RL game made a four armed bat winged tentacled mummified bomb lobing half-elf. Looked like as evil as could be but was CG.) I'm mainly drawn to weird and interesting classes.


Yeah ranged touch attacks are great. Always liked that about gunslinger and the alchemist's bombs. Used to run a gunslinger/alchemist in RL that shot his bombs out with his gun.


Yep that's Vens secret. He goes around and poisons blogs while in the middle of combat.


Is fey foundling counted in that? I got the feats like so.
