will try to have something up later or tomorrow. We are planning an out of state trip end of the month 17thish and so extra work schedules have been picked up and things are going to be crazy here for the next few weeks. I will keep posting just may not be as substantial as it has been in other posts.
thanks for hanging in there.
BTW
Richard Loved your last post. Sorry we havent had much of an opportunity to bring in any background on you so far. I havent had much time to sit down with it and look at your sheet while planning . hopefully I ll have some time shortly to do just that

I need to know what your characters are doing ... discussion...stables... whatever else. PLEASE help me out here
Quentin: As always thanks for the additions to the world building. It makes things easier to play off and the queuing of other players through your internal dialogue is awesome.
Shadara: Group has found their leader now looking to see where she leads. What options do you see for the group at this point...she seems kinda out of it.
Richard.-- keep going lots to play from on your end that will help in the world building. I am struggling to connect your character partly because no response as to why Richard reacts as he does. Seems kinda like I'm ghost writing the character.
mang---- Are you now stone or are you now stone? I dont see your character as a waiting to see fellow. If he is then I am reading him wrong. If he's not..would he just be sitting or chomping at the bit to get something done?
Mang Fu Ha Saan
No, you're understanding is correct. I'm playing out what I see as an appropriate reaction to the current situation. What's the current time in game?

I spent most of this evening between work and kids finally leveling my character. I will update stats here tomorrow. I will also reply better as well.

Safe Trip See you soon.

I have scoured the thread and discussion and cannot seem to figure out what happened to the tetrachs. I am going to assume that since I asked for them they were given to me hold on to. If I am wrong please let me know.
Shadara Windless
until now muwhahahaha
Shadara Windless
I have nothign to add to the game yet from where it is. Let me know when you have decided what to do and I will play from there.
again I will begone thurs through the 23 and make no guarantee of posting until I am back.
that is fine, from my point of view there is going to be a little discussion between the four and then the lead up to the meeting. At the base 1 post per day it could take a little bit. I did have a different question. I know that we posted the combat rolls and linked them. Are you accounting for the change of level or do we need to repost them each time they change?
Herkymr the Silly
repost please.
For those that dont know what he is talking about.. look at the link on his alias. Those are rolls and common actions that you would do from a character point of view during combat situations.
IT ISNOT a this is what I will always do or what I as a GM will default you to.
IT IS for if you aren't able to respond during a decent amount of time in combat situations or if you are MIA due to something happening in life.
There will also be some situations that for various reasons I will and may need to initiate a situation for your party that works best story flow wise IF I GIVE no warning at all.
Shadara "tells" are something that are fun to create and play with in pbp's. I would suggest that you find what your character would do or may have developed as "quirks" tells and play them in game.

I thought the interaction with the dwarven waitress moved quickly.
I'm taking a bus to a Star Wars: The Card Game tournament this weekend, so I doubt I'll be able to post on Saturday.
Shadara Windless
I think he meant the site not the flow of our game.

Ah. That would make sense. I remember the site saying it got a lot of traffic through Paizo's participation in a Humble Bundle.
Herkymr the Silly

Star Wars has gradually transitioned from a game I play occasionally with a friend to my primary hobby. I like the theme, but the mechanics could carry the game if need be. Because you draw up to six cards every turn, you often see most of your deck during a game and can dig for the answer you need if your opponent puts you in a bad spot. I've had many games where I've come back from the brink of defeat by getting a lucky draw or barely winning a critical edge battle, so the game stays interesting even when I'm getting my teeth kicked in.
The game also has some tactical depth. When you draw Yoda, Luke or Han Solo, you have to decide whether you want to put them on the board or discard them in hopes of winning an edge battle to make your existing units strike more efficiently. Once the units are on the board, you've got to think about where and when to attack, who to leave back for defense, and who to dedicate to the Force struggle.
Because you build decks with five-card sets rather than picking individual cards, deck building is quick. The sets can also tell you what your opponent has in their deck during the game so you can play around it.
In short, Star Wars has a great balance of luck and skill. You have enough information at each moment to make sound decisions, but there is enough hidden information for the game to stay tense and exciting even when you're in the lead.

Here is the updated Combat rolls that now reflect correctly for my Level 4 character and the attacks have been generalized so they should work anywhere.
DM ROLL Request
Initiative1:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Initiative2:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Initiative3:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Initiative4:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Initiative5:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Initiative6:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Initiative7:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Initiative8:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Initiative9:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Initiative10:: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
As a swift action I will use Vanishing Trick on myself to become invisible. Then I will move off at an angle to the enemy finding somewhere that will conceal me but give me a vantage point to be able to sneak attack and ready my bow and notch an arrow. If there is no place to conceal myself will stop moving once outside the direct fighting space but still in sneak attack range of the enemy and ready my bow and arrow.
Stealth Movement checks: Dice roll is 1d20 + 27 (+7 Stealth Bonus, +20 Vanishing Trick Bonus if moving, +40 Vanishing Trick Bonus if standing still)
Stealth1:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (3) + 27 = 30
Stealth2:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (1) + 27 = 28
Stealth3:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (15) + 27 = 42
Stealth4:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (20) + 27 = 47
Stealth5:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (5) + 27 = 32
Stealth6:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (20) + 27 = 47
Stealth7:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (19) + 27 = 46
Stealth8:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (11) + 27 = 38
Stealth9:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (7) + 27 = 34
Stealth10:: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (7) + 27 = 34
Hurriedly I will backflip away from the attacker, given there is room, and retreat about 20 feet. Then try to find an obstruction of some kind to put between me and the attacker. If I am concealed behind the obstruction I will put away my bow and ready my nunchaku for attack. If there is nothing to hide behind at this point turn and draw another arrow if need be and aim at the attacker
Grab a thunder stone and throw it at the attacker, spend a Ki point to become invisible, and run the opposite direction about 15 feet away from attacker at an angle if possible, and try to find something to hide behind. Whether or not I find an obstruction to conceal myself, I will ready my bow and arrows.
grab a thunderstone and throw it straight up in the air about ten feet and run away from the attacker. Then as soon as the thunderstone goes off pull out the flask of shard gel and throw it in the direction of the attacker. If it is available I will us Vanishing Trick to turn invisible, then I will continue to run weaving back and forth to make myself a harder target until I have cleared the attack area by a block.

Man I am really sad about some of those rolls. After all the work to update them and everything. Well it will make game play more fun.
Shadara Windless
I know that it may seem that my character went a little nuts in my most recent post. I was thinking about how to respond, the historical interactions of these two before and something just didn't seem right. Then it hit me. Everything has been a whirlwind since getting to town, with not much down time, or care free rest, or time to really assess massive amounts of information that has been thrown at the characters. Being that my character is considered young, I decided to add a little mental fatigue to the mix. Then I realized that I had already started that trend of fatigue during the return from the delivery so I let it slip a notch further. Please let me know if you feel this is harming the storyline.
Herkymr the Silly
Herkymr, the spoiler you addressed to me in your last post had nothing in it. What was it supposed to say?
Quinten
I'll have to find it again. It was in answer to the knowledge checksI like how you are cautious but trustworth as well. This is a great play on what you describe your character as. Also again thanks for the Italic thought process. Makes game more interesting for me and the flow goes smoother.
Nice Shadara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This ones going to take me a bit to figure out based on what i have on the raksha
didn't expect that approach.
Still hoping to hear from richard and mang soon.
Herkymr the Silly
RICHARD ****** I love it. I think I am beginning to see some definite personality in your toon. Thanks for taking initiative.
Others:
Still got my head spinning on the whole shadara response. I hate to admit it but it may actually take me a day or so to fragment am idea and response to it.
I will stay in touch atleast in discussion. Hopefully Mang will give me some more to play with while me brain stews.
Shadara Windless
I should be able to respond Thursday evening if hero is ready for me. Been working really long hours. Started at 8:30 this morning and just made it to hotel for the night. Just have to drive back in the morning then back to more normal schedule
Herkymr the Silly
Going to be delayed in response for a few days. Have some doc appoints and other needs done and my daughter starts spring break so I wll have less time on y hands for a week.
I will post but cant guarantee the frequency until after apr 8th
and
heads up in advance....Our new kiddo is expected about the end of may so I will definitely be taking a break in there for awhile til we gets some semblence of sanity again.
will keep ya informed
I AM NOT GOING TO QUIT DMING IF I CAN HELP IT AT ALL
Shadara Windless
totally understandable. I ended up putting in a 14 hour day at work yesterday and was too tired to respond in game. Will try to get something in today.
Shadara Windless
sorry guys was sick friday thru sunday. Didn't really get out of bed all weekend. I will post today though.
LilWilly5
so i came up with this idea from another game I'm in with an amnesiac psychic. in it we found out the secret to my pcs ability to recall any spell was due to a link to the Akashic Record. it got me thinking that the same could be for Richard and when i make Knowledge rolls it could be that hes accessing the info from the record and the same for when he tries to remember spells.
Quinten Gladwell
|
I can see that for strange or particularly exotic knowledge rolls or spells, but I like the idea of Richard recalling parts of his past more. If he's drawing entirely on the Akashic Record, he'll be too much of a blank slate. If it's a mix, the spells he uses can reveal something about who he was before the amnesia.

Shadara, if I'm reading correctly, the 'stable' Milos rented is a storeroom with a room above it, not an actual stable. His mount would frighten other animals and take hands of anyone who got too curious, so he wanted it somewhere isolated. See this post.
I keep forgetting that it's not a stable and treating it like it is one. If it's a storeroom made of stone, the spikes in my last post would have been stone rather than wood.
