Special Abilities
--------------------
Burn Leyten can accept 1 point of burn to use his infusion wild talents, which modify his kinetic blast. She can accept only 1 point of burn per round and a maximum of 7 points of burn total. For each point of burn she accepts, Leyten takes 1 point of nonlethal damage. This damage can be healed only by a full night’s rest, and it can’t be reduced or redirected.
Basic Chaokinesis Level 1, Burn 0
Leyten can create a shadow that protects a target from bright light. He can also change gravity to increase a creature’s carrying capacity by half or grant a creature a +4 bonus on Acrobatics checks to jump.
Each benefit lasts 1 hour or until he uses basic chaokinesis again.
Kinetic (Negative) Blast
Leyten can blast his foe with negative energy as a ranged touch attack, up to a range of 30 feet. This blast and its composite blasts never heal creatures, even if they would normally be healed by negative energy (though such creatures still take no damage). He must have one hand free to aim the blast. The blast is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction.
Pulling Infusion Element void; Type substance infusion; Level 1; Burn 1
Saving Throw none
Leyten's kinetic blast pulls foes toward him. He attempts a drag combat maneuver check against each target damaged by his infused blast (the blast always drags the foe closer to him), using his Constitution modifier instead of his Strength modifier to determine his CMB. This infusion can pull a foe a maximum of 5 feet. He can increase the maximum distance pulled by 5 feet per additional point of burn accepted.
Defense Wild TalentEmptiness
Leyten’s body becomes an empty husk, fueled by an internal void. He gain negative energy resistance 2, a 5% chance to ignore critical hits and sneak attacks, and a +1 bonus on Will saves against emotion effects. By accepting 1 point of burn, he can increase the resistance to negative energy by 2, the chance to ignore critical hits and sneak attacks by 5%, and the bonus on Will saves against emotion effects by 1 until the next time his burn is removed. The chance of ignoring critical hits and sneak attacks granted by this wild talent stacks with the chance granted by elemental overflow to a maximum of 100%.
When Leyten accepts burn while using a void wild talent, his bonus on Will saves applies against all mind-affecting effects for 1 round. He can dismiss and restore this effect as an immediate action.
Utility Wild TalentNo Breath
Leyten does not need to breathe, and is immune to effects that require breathing (such as inhaled poison). This does not give him immunity to cloud or gas attacks that do not require breathing. He can survive in the vacuum of space.
Gather Power If he has both hands free, Leyten can gather power as a move action. This creates a loud display in a 20-foot radius centered on Leyten, and it allows him to reduce the burn cost of her infusion wild talents by 1 point (as long as he uses the talent in the same round). If he gathers power for a full round, he can reduce the cost by 2 points (minimum 0). If she does this, he can also gather power as a move action during his next turn to reduce the cost by 3.
If he takes damage during or after gathering power but before he releases her infused blasts, he must succeed at a concentration check (1d20+6) or lose the gathered energy. The DC is equal to 11 + the amount of damage Leyten took. If he fails this check, Leyten must accept 1 point of burn.
Appearance:
The pale, gray eyes are the first thing you notice about Leyten Krovt. He has short, wavy blonde hair and a ruddy, weathered complexion, with a noticeable scar across his right cheek and upper lip. As a result, Leyten often seems to have a look of distaste. Truth be told, however, the scar probably doesn't make a difference.
A tattoo of a black-haired woman with snakelike skin adorns the right side of his neck. He wears a gray studded leather armor, a silk black shirt, and black trousers, along with a burgundy cloak with a bright ocher trim. His left hand has a gold ring with a bloodstone.
Personality:
Leyten is pithy, choosing to speak briefly yet forcefully, and he appreciates people who do the same. While he may come across as unsociable, he actually prefers the company of others. Being alone for too long causes his mind to wander down unpleasant corridors. He's an occasionally fatalistic yet always curious explorer.
Background:
Leyten had made a successful living as a guide to artifact hunters and other people who risked exploring within Ustalav. One year ago, while relaxing at a riverfront inn with his wife, Jenna, he met a beautiful woman named Silviana. He quickly became infatuated with this enchanting woman. The following night, he angrily left his shocked wife and went to Silviana's cottage in the woods. He and Silviana were soon locked in passion for hours. After he renounced his love for Jenna, Silviana revealed herself to be a green hag! She intended to keep him locked up with the bodies of her previous lovers, as a prelude to some occult ritual. Leyten - in a burst of desperation - was able to get past her and out the door, but not before she had raked her claws across his face and thrown a hex at him.
Bleeding, mostly naked, and thoroughly ashamed, Leyten could not bear the thought of returning home, especially since the hag would likely strike at Jenna if he did so. He gathering what belongings he could from the inn and left the area.
That next night, Leyten dreamt feverishly of Silviana's seductive form and horrific nature. When he awoke, he felt ill, but he knew he'd survived the brunt of her hex - or had he? He soon discovered that he had strange, new abilities, including control of negative energy. Much more disturbingly, though, there was a new tattoo on his neck: a beautiful, black-haired woman with snakelike skin.
He doesn't know what it means, but he's convinced he'll meet that woman one day. And when he does, it'll be the end of his life. He joined the Pathfinder Society to learn more about the nature of curses, and to keep others from making the mistake that he did.
