![]() I'm still here. Can you clarify the situation. I know I'm confused about the room's layout and what our options for crossing are. Firavel seemed to understand so I was happy to let him handle things, but he seems to have been eaten by life. ![]()

![]() Leon's hand went to The Lopper's axe as the hidden staircase revealed itself. He looked down at the axe as he realized what he'd done. He'd always been partial to swords, but for some reason ever since finding the axe his first instinct was always to draw it first. Something about that thought troubled him, but he dismissed it and moved closer to Firavel to tale a look up the stairs. "Looks like the best lead we've found so far." Leon nodded. Looking back over his shoulder to Son he said "Did you know this was here? Any idea where it leads?" ![]()

![]() Definitely fine with me. I was worried I was going to have to ask to rework my character. It hasn't come up much in this game yet because I haven't had it very long, but it's bound to soon. I don't think it's an overpowered feat myself, but I know some DMs are very frustrated by it. ![]()

![]() Leon smiles as Mithias starts mixing chemicals at an net table in the hallway. He didn't know what alchemical wonders were being brewed, but he knew they'd be helpful. He let Sethis and Son keep an eye on the hall while Mithias worked. Leon and Jean and Firavel scouted the area. Reconvening a short while later there was a lot of shrugging. No one had found anything dangerous. "Nothing here. The bridge looks like the only way to go. Anyone find anything they want to investigate, or should we just keep moving?" ![]()

![]() Leon looks worriedly at the goblins. "Uh, why don't the two of you stay here. Gather up any supplies you think would be useful for a journey. We might be a while, but we'll be back." He fished out the half-pound of jerky he carried in his satchel and handed the bundle to the closest goblin. "You divide this into two piles. When you're done, he's going to pick which pile he wants. you get the other one. No fighting over it, and don't eat it all at once. It's all I have right now. You both understand?" ![]()

![]() "Well, where I come from, servants get paid for the work they do, and can leave if they want. You aren't slaves anymore." He wasn't really sure what to do, but he knew that his cousin Kane, who was afflicted with a curse that made him look distinctly inhuman, had made many goblins and other shunned races into sources of useful information. "But, there will still be rules. First, no lying. I won't lie to you, and you won't lie to us. Next, no stealing. We won't take what is yours, and you won't take what is ours. Finally, in my household, all servants are required to bathe at least once a week." "Can you agree to those terms?" I have no idea what I'm doing!! How many of them are there? Are there any other s that are wounded? ![]()

![]() "I heard my Aunt say once that the difference between slavery and domestication is self-awareness. I'm not much of a philosopher, but that seems like a pretty important distiction to me." Leon says over his shoulder while he waits to see if the goblins drink the potions he gave them. ![]()

![]() before my action When the monster misses him, Leon lashes out blindingly fast, striking the offending claw with the intricate basket hilt of his rapier. pommel strike is purely thematic. I'm actually doing an Unarmed Strike, using Snake Style to hit the troll as an AoO when he misses me. Then I'm using an Immediate action (this round's swift action) to do it again. ![]() Leon should be at N21, right? Activating Snake Style as a swift action. Crane and Snake styles both active. Leon began to get the measure of his huge foe. He hadn't fought many enemies of this size. Adjusting from his classic fencer's stance, he raised his blade high and turned his wrist into fourth position. An unorthodox stance in most situations, but ideal for fighting brutish foes like this. "Back up Jean. I have the breach. Don't worry about me, just rain hurt down on them. I hear trolls don't like fire." Attack, defensive: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 9 - 2 = 18
