Backstory
Popular opinion had it that Leandro had been the son of a dancer in a circus caravan travelling through Varisia, too destitute to afford to raise him and too desperate for Koya to refuse her plea. So it was that the celibate Harrower took in an infant child to raise as her own, with some help from her own mother. His biological mother's influence only remained in his name, chosen by her, and a propension to dancing.
He grew up a pretty, delicate kid, who enjoyed painting and, despite his mother's devotion to Desna, revered Shelyn. For him, the Harrow was a thing of supreme beauty, more than a divination tool, and he spent countless hours tracing the symbols and patterns embodied by the cards, even handcrafting a deck for Koya.
His formation changed somehow during the Late Unpleasantness. Leandro came close to becoming one of Chopper's victims as the killer assaulted him in an alley close to home. Luck assisted the boy, as Sheriff Avertin was close by, and his shouts sent Chopper running. After the identity of the murderer was revealed, Leandro was astonished: how could someone with that much skill for art as Jervis Stoot bring such an evil into the world? The revelation went against everything that Shelyn preached, and he came close to renouncing the goddess. But in the end, his heart turned to a different resolution. He set to salvage the Stoot carvings before the villagers destroyed them in anger, believing them worthy to be saved regardless of their maker's evil, and asked the new Sheriff to train him in the use of weapons. Not to be used in terrifying violence as Chopper had done, but in defense and protection, as he took upon himself to balance the scales for the evil that a fellow artist had brought into the world. He wielding a light blade as he would a brush, and learned the steps of a the dance of blades like it was a jig. All he needed now, was a chance to prove himself.

Appearance
Leandro has green eyes and unruly, wavy black hair, cut somewhat short. He likes to dress in traditional Varisian Style, including a kapenia that he hopes to fill with reminders of his life. He favors comfortable, colourful clothes.

Personality
Leandro strives to be kind and understanding, although the rather flattering image ha has of himself can pass as arrogance and obnoxious self-confidence. The same, he's not one to refuse an offer to help. He enjoys painting, but not as a quiet, solitary endeavour: his notion of art is something that reflects an artist's life, and if such life is merry and chaotic, so should their artwork be born.
